Just a word of caution- if anyone watches The Witch, you will probably be disappointed. The dialogue is hard to understand. Very "olde English", so put your subtitles on. And the lack of lighting makes it hard to see what is actually going on. If you want a couple of really good, creepy made for TV horror films, I recommend the original "Salem's Lot" and "Dark Night of the Scarecrow". You my friend are the voice of reason and have excellent taste in horror. I was about to recommend both of those tv movies, they are both in my dvd collection and I watch Salems Lot quite a lot (no pun intended). The scene where the kid scraped the window with his nails is still creepy as hell to this day, really well acted, loved James Mason in it as well. They dont make them like those anymore, the drivel they put out these days is awful. Have you any other tv movie recommendations? I could watch many low budget tv movies even today, like afternoon movies you would get on an ordinary station rather than these so called blockbusters that people rant and rave about that are absolutely crap. Even though they arent horror but I really enjoy the Jesse Stone tv movies with tom selleck, stuff like that which is well acted and has a good storyline and intriguing characters much much better than a stupid super hero movie or zombie movie...i hate todays generation.

I highly recommend the Thriller DVD box set. It was an old TV show hosted by Boris Karloff that ran from 1960-1962. Some of the stories are meh, others are really creepy & suspenseful. "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" (1973). This movie scared my sister so much, she wouldn't go in the basement after dark. I haven't seen the 2010 remake, but the original is a classic. "Child of Glass" (1978). This was a Wonderful World of Disney episode. Not necessarily scary, but child ghosts creeped me the hell out. "Don't Go To Sleep" (1982). I saw this once & the watermelon scene made my imagination go crazy. Quite creepy for a TV movie. "Tales From the Darkside". There are a few episodes from this series (1983-1988) that are creepy as hell. The pilot episode ("Trick or Treat") gave me the creeps when the witch reveals herself. "A Case of the Stubborns" gets creepier the longer it goes on. They did some excellent make up in this episode as well.

Anyone here a fan of Friday the 13th the tv series? It was a great show when I was growing up. Some of the episodes scared the crap out of me. Filmed in Toronto. The entire series is up on amazon and I'm thinking of ordering it.

1987 corn, more of a comedy than a horror flick. It's on Prime (if anyone's a sub).

Finally got around to seeing 'Dont Breath' a couple weeks back. Appreciated how you could tell the 'basement scenes' were legitimately filmed in the dark from the pupils of the actors. Dug that alot for some reason.
Hope ya'll are doing well!

Was disappointed at first that it had nothing to do with Jason, but the creepiness of the doll in the pilot was awesome and hooked me in. Loved the glimpses in the vault we'd get on occasion and the doll would be there. Also loved the episode with Vanity. I was also a big fan of Tales from the Darkside. They could be pretty out there and creepy, but there were a few actual scary episodes. "The Grither" is probably still my favorite ep. Loved the payoff at the end, after the buildup throughout.

Friday the 13th was one of my favourite tv shows. Very underrated and ahead of its time. I was also a fan of tales from the dark side and tales from the crypt.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Very solid flick, goes to places I wasn't expecting. If you watch it, go in blind.

I saw Sleepaway Camp (1983) a couple days ago.......man, what a trip. It's famous for it's twist ending but having already spoiled it for myself, I was more keen on all of the foreshadowing leading up to it. Tons of phalic imagery going on.

I re-watched "The Burning" from 1981 for the first time in over ten years. Really solid slasher film. Reading reviews alot state something along the lines of it been intended as a "Friday the 13th" rip off but far exceeding it and I'm definitely inclined to agree the plot is pretty solid for a slasher and the build up of tension is brilliant, even the performances are all strong. A definite watch for any horror fan. m.imdb.com/title/tt0082118/

Looks pretty good - and I absolutely LOVED the original. They are really building the suspense with hearing Pennywise speak. Can't wait to hear how his voice sounds. The slideshow reveal of him was really cool and creepy.
