Does anyone else hop they keep him from talking? Thats another thing that made Kane a badass in his initial run he didnt talk. Kind of like Michael Myers in the Halloween movies. You dont know what he's thinkin and it adds a bit of fear to the charactor

The mask is back on, which according to the impression I got from people around here, instantly makes him a better wrestler. I've been outspoken on this before, but the mask is truly unnesscesary. His character has no mystery anymore, we all know what he looks like. 2010 proved he could still be successful and relevant in what he did. His rivalries with Edge and Undertaker were great. I second this. No mystery but still the urge from people to see something different. Fact is, the mask he owns currently is pretty scaring and may help him out to become this monster heel everybody wants him to become but it's just a design on his face. Kane used to be that monster heel with his mask off so yes, not truly necessary to put it back on. Do they plan on keeping the mask until he retires ? Would it mean that Kane is actually living his last experience in a ring and would it mean that this is the way they want Kane to retire ? He debuted with a mask so he would end up his career with a mask ? Because I don't know how they do plan on unmasking Kane once again...What would be the point of putting back the mask and then taking it off...once again... |

Not what I expected at all based on those videos they've been airing but whatever.
I'm glad he's wearing the mask again.
Hopefully he switches the clothes up because they look dreadful.

I like the mask and the attire as a whole (except for the flame on his right leg), though like some, I've said many times that a mask, as cool as it looks, doesn't make him any better or a monster again. WWE ruined the Kane character way before he was unmasked. I do hope that now they try to make up for all that. Now, shouldn't they have changed Kane's Titantron already? He was being shown there without the mask... I mean, yes, we all know how he looks (or looked) like, but I think they should've changed it. |

Anyone else think they didn't change his tron purposely to fool us all? I mean after the video of him burning his mask, and the old tron, I thought it was just another bland Kane return. Then he walks out and suprises us all. If so, it was a really great idea on WWE's part.

Anyone complaining or saying that him being masked doesn't make him any better is lacking the nostalgic emotions others got. After he lost the mask, people lost interest in him over time. I'm sure his fan base shrunk (in time).. It doesn't make him better skill wise.. Because he's already perfectly fine at everything he does for his size and is capable of good matches. Being masked again makes him better aesthetically for sure. Probably the only area he needs to be "better" in any way. His promo skills are awesome 8 times out of 10. His in ring ability is awesome.. He's no Undertaker but he can Go. And he looks far better.
So those who say it doesn't make him better.. You need to hop off your nerdy, world of warcraft, high horse and stop being so ridiculous.

You have a small point.. But idk how you fit voicebox in there. That was awesome to me. The thought that he couldn't talk on his power made it seem even more like he had been in some sort of disabling accident. And was earlier in his original run. That other CRAP after he returned was the beginning of the downfall leading to an umasking. All of those things besides the voicebox were also done in some form or fashion while he was unmasked. If you can't think back to how he really operated in his original run, voicebox or not, (which he used about 4-5 times).. Blowing things up with his demonic powers. Chokeslamming Taker through the ring. Chokeslamming Show for the first time. Bodyslamming/chokeslamming Viscera for the first time, Paul Bearers promos where he would just stand behind him, glaring into the viewers eyes. Masked Kanes run had far more awesome things to it, than him unmasked. I was there when he electrocuted Shanes sack.. That was about the last cool thing that really happened. And forgive me but if those are the top 4/5 things you think of when you think back to Kanes masked days, then you're either just looking for excuses or you weren't around to see him from the beginning until now. |

You guys need to stop arguing about the mask.....the mask has nothing to do with if Kane is seen as a monster or not. Perception is reality, and WWE has made him do some stupid things with the mask on and with the mask off.
But arguably, Kane's best and most evil moment cane with NO mask on.
Might be the greatest promo in the history of the business.
So as long as WWE doesn't book him stupidly, he can be made to look like a monster regardless of what his costume is. For far too long, people have been putting way too much importance on the mask and using it as an excuse.
I can take the mask or leave it....but good booking is the key.
