HAH....the IGN vid leaked....and some ppl were able to save it before IGN took it down. As the reviews not supposed to go up for another week.
I guess they shut down the vid i posted.
But it got a 9.6 out of 10
The only negative they mentioned in the review, was that the camera can get annoying during 4 player co-op

Looks like Kirby 3DS will be out very early 2014. It's confirmed Jan 11th in Japan so probably March in NA. Not really a good date for me. That month is really crowded already with Titanfall, South Park, Dark Souls. I am pretty sure the rumor is Bayonetta 2 may be coming that month as well.

I wanted to see Yoshi as playable or even someone unexpected like Wario or Daisy. Still, this is the game I've looked forward to the most this year. I am even more excited for this than my Xbox One on Friday.

Nintendo needs to start marketing to not just kids and families but also adults and teens. Their recent ads have all been about "family fun". I speak for myself here, but my family never plays games together. They have to start focusing on the separate ages of the consumers not just the family. Keep the family ads but also advertise some of the higher rated games like Zombie U, Batman Arkham Origins or AC4.

Nintendo has been terrible at marketing the system, let alone the games for it. There is a lot of people that don't even understand what the system is or why they should want to use the gamepad. Hell, Nintendo sent one of it's own exclusive games (Wonderful 101) to basically die earlier this year and did literally no marketing on it at all, not to mention releasing it in the US right next to Zelda.
As for games like Arkham, AC4, I just don't think people care to play those on a Nintendo system. Most gamers that play those types of games have one of the other systems that they play them on and it shows in sales. If it wasn't so cheap for Ubisoft and co to do those ports then we wouldn't even see them.
I bought the system just for it's exclusives so I am fine with waiting sometimes 3-4 months in between releases, but I can't imagine owning the Wii U as my only system or primary system for games.

Ya but that is the thing, if a console is not a primary system for all games, then people wont buy it. And that's whats going on for the Wii U. I honestly agree with you, I only have a Wii U for Nintendo exclusives such as Mario, Animal Crossing etc. I play every other game on the PC. However some games I do prefer playing on console such as Origins and AC4 therefore the Wii U should suffice until a next gen console such as the Xbox One will be fully fixed from bugs and hardware problems. I always wait a year.

The thing that is a shame is when third party games like Deus Ex and Rayman Legends that actually use the gamepad in neat ways, end up selling like crap. Although I guess Ubisoft can be blamed for Rayman since it was supposed to launch early this year but was delayed so they could push out 360/PS3 versions, which is quite funny, since it is now getting XB1/PS4 releases early next year.

Anyone else mark for Rosalina? It's cool but I could think of about 25 characters I'd rather be playable than her, lol. She should also be considerably taller if Mario Kart is to be believed. |

Amazon posted what was apparently the final box art of DK Tropical Freeze the other day and then removed it. It featured the three playable characters on it plus Cranky holding onto DK's leg. The rumor is that Cranky is going to be the 4th playable character. If so, then, praise Jesus.
I hope he is playable in a 'hardcore' run of the game where you get one HP. He always berates DK and Diddy for how easy they have it so it would be awesome.

I am pretty sure that is the US cover. Either way, Nintendo of America completely sucks compared to NOE and NOJ. We basically never get the exclusive pre-order bonuses or special editions of games and when we do, they are always gimped in some way compared to the others.

Mario Kart 8 is going to be coming May. It looks there might be nothing else between it and Donkey Kong. I hope we at least get Bayonetta 2 in April or June.
