So the whole Lawler thing is worse than a storyline where they drag a coffin through a cemetery? Ok. Yes!

Would you guys please stop insulting the OP?
He has every right to be annoyed if heart attacks took some of his family and Heyman is rolling around on the floor laughing. Whether or not it offended me or you is irrelevant, have some respect for other people.
Cheers.

The WWE has went from the legendary Attitude era to a show that makes fun of heart attacks and fat people.

It's the nature of the business especially now a days. This is nothing new.

If I suffered a heart attack and survived, I think I would be joking about it later.
I havn't seen Raw , so I don't know exactly what went down. But I'm sure it wasn't a targeted attack at all people who have had heart attacks. To me, it sounds like a segment that either went down great (getting heat) or went down terribly by being interrupted as insulting.

Guys, it's a TV show.....is anybody getting offended that Matthew Mcconaughey is filming a movie playing a character who died of AIDs? What about other TV shows were characters either die of ailments such as heart attacks, cancer, or strokes? Hell, I've seen some Soap Opera's where characters actually FAKE having cancer or lie about being raped. It's all just part of the story. Anybody who honestly gets offended by anything they see on a TV show is taking it way too seriously. Yes but it was tasteless considering that Eddie Guerrero and Brian Pillman died of heart attacks while they were still in the show. My Auntie burst into tears when she watched it. Heart failure kills nearly a million people a year in the US alone. I think the number of people who have actually had some form of heart attack or related heart failure is double that number. It's going to be a sensitive subject. However, WWE is a TV show. It's no different than watching someone get killed mercilessly on the Walking Dead. It's fiction, albeit boarding more on reality. I understand the Eddie thing, but it wasn't meant to make people smile. It was meant to make you angry, meant to make your aunt cry, and meant for thousands, millions, of people to find tasteless. If you're going to stop watching, so be it, but now you're rooting for someone to kick CM Punk's ass, which was the point. He's a cruel, evil, diabolical menace, but ultimately, it's a work. This is WWE, where grown men have sex with dead people, they make fun of mentally handicap people, and one legged men are brought in just to be made a spectacle of... WWE has been doing this stuff for years.

The Attitude era had things like the Big Show/Bossman feuding because Show's dad died and Bossman thought it was funny, Al Snow eating his own dog, (which also was to do with Big Bossman, the bastard!) and many other storylines that were "in poor taste". But, as others have said, it is a tv show. Lawler must've ok'ed it, otherwise they wouldn't have done it. Personally, I didn't think much of the segment, but it didn't offend me. Hell, if you can sit through the Katie Vick angle, you can sit through anything!

Goodbye. Not abuse just being realistic. You say the attitude era was less offensive then last nights promo yet it was the most offensive era ever in wrestling history. I'm sorry you feel offended but your argument doesn't hold water.

I've had close loved ones die from heart attacks & chances are I will too, and yet I wasn't offended at all. It's wrestling, it's what they do.

Sooner or later they are going to hitting something that may hit a nerve.

Goodbye. Bye... Seriously though as long as Lawler was happy with it (who was the target of the attack) then thats fine with me. I'm sure Punk, Heyman and others where talking to Lawler about it even giving him the option of not doing it but WWE and television as a whole has these sorts of things because it gets reactions. I personally thought the Heyman heart attack bit went a bit too long but overall it was a good "sick" promo that made me dislike Punk. I could see why your offended but honestly if you found it this much disturbing then I dont think wrestling/TV shows are for you. If WWE didnt do things because it offended someone somewhere then it would be a lot worse than it is.
