Seriously may be one of my favorite mms moments ever. You just don't do that to someone as good as Weidman.

It's like the energy drink commercial where the guy showboating gets knocked out.

Anderson is the greatest of all time, that was cemented long ago. One of a kind. No one should think any less of the best there ever was.
I'm glad I don't let the ignorance of others get under my skin. You can't be an MMA fan and let idiots bother you.

The itsy bitsy Spider climbed up the water spout. Along came Weidman and knocked The Spider out!!!! Haha.
Anderson just clowned around with the wrong person and out of his Middleweight belt. I'm still in disbelief. Wow, what a shocker. Never underestimate your opponent. That's what Anderson just learned tonight. If I were wearing a hat, I'd take it off to Weidman. You want something, you go out and you get it baby!!!

No one is disputing that, but yes you should think less of the best there ever once when they spit on their own legacy through foolishness. With that it opens up the gate and argument for Jon Jones in a few years time to be considered the best ever. It ain't ignorance bud, it's truth~

I got back in town & to the bar right before the Edgar/Olivera fight, & loved it. Great, great fight. My mistake tonight? Wearing an Anderson Silva shirt. I felt so ing dirty after that fight. Just like a stench I couldn't get rid of. I love the guy, always have, always will. But he deserved what he got tonight. The biggest thing that bothers me is that he seemed so unaffected by what just happened. I don't expect him to be balling his eyes out, but damn, at least pretend like you care.

I definitely don't doubt he's done it all with that belt. There's nothing left for him to do with it. Hell, I've felt like that for a long time. I could understand the thought of him feeling relieved, but if it was such a burden, vacate it & focus on you're super fights. I can't comprehend any of this right now. My brain just feels like a jumbled mess.

Weidman certainly put a big ka-bosh on the Superfight plans. No question about that. I wonder what Dana thinks now...

Was definitely at a loss for words after the KO. Well done to Chris Weidman. There's some people you can pull that off with, Chris Weidman (obviously) isn't one of them.
Disappointed that this messes up the Superfights. But the rematch for this will be HUGE.

Well guys we all witnessed history tonight. I've been rooting for Weidman since the beginning and I'm glad he got his shot and became the new champ. I swear after the knockout I had like a mini heart attack. Have never felt like that for any other fight. All in all good night and fights. P.s. I won 20$ (:

Not really sure why the GSP superfight is taken off the table. Jone's I could understand, but GSP not only has a loss as well, but has shown his mortality in the cage in more than a few fights. Sure some of the luster is gone, but it wouldn't take away it being the two greatest locking horns.
I'm honestly disappointed. I don't hate Silva for this. I'm not gonna sit here and call him and idiot. That's the easy thing to do. I'm not making excuses, but this is clearly one of those fights that Silva wasn't serious about. I'm almost certain that on the inside, he viewed Chris as another flavor of the month MW that he was gonna dispatch. I'm not even saying that he'd have won if he was serious but while we've seen Anderson Silva play around with guys and finish them, we've seen serious Silva absolutely maul world class competition. So who knows? I kinda feel robbed because I don't feel like we watched a 'game' Anderson Silva fight a hungry young lion in Chris Wiedman. That's the only negative thing I have to say about Silva right now; that he did his fans and himself a disservice with his fooling around tonight.
There really shouldn't be any more negative to say about the greatest and humble Champs the sport's ever seen, but it's sooooo so easy to bash a guy in defeat and to try to put him under your shoe.

Weidman certainly put a big ka-bosh on the Superfight plans. No question about that. I wonder what Dana thinks now... They're missing out on Silva/GSP or Silva/Jones, but the Weidman/Silva rematch will be a superfight. The talk is that it will be in NJ, the night before the Super Bowl, which is also in NJ. There is question as to if it will be a PPV or on Fox. UFC will blow a near 1,000,000 buy PPV if they do it on Fox. WE'll see what happens.

Good for Weidman. Closing the distance while Anderson was more focused on trying to make him look stupid than actually winning.
His performance, mixed with his words after the fight almost made it sound like he wanted to lose the fight. Which completely blows my mind. He's not Yushin. He's going to actually step towards you while punching.

And now the question for the next 8 months or so. Did Anderson lose because Weidman was the better fighter, or did Anderson lose because he was being cocky and kept his hands down?

^ maybe a bit of both. But we shouldn't take anything away from Weidman... Anderson has done this sort of thing in the past to get inside fighter's heads - it just didn't work out this time.
