The TV integration seems like it truly is "plug and play", but the question is, how overarching is the hardware inside the One? That, not necessarily your particular cable provider, will dictate how feasible TV integration is. By the sounds of it, the console doesn't care what provider I have, but it still needs to be able to discern how to turn "Watch CBS" into a command that speaks directly to my cable box and switches it to channel 705. Sounds tricky.

-Is the Kinect integral? Will it be included with all models? Yeah, it will be included with all models. I missed the event, but I'm watching a Live Post-Reveal event from IGN, and it just seems like they are focusing on it being a "All in one Living Room" device. Nothing really impressed me today; the console looks nice, and I'm glad they are using Blu-Ray now though. Bummer that Kinect has to be plugged in at all times, I'll be one of many just plugging it in, and having it face the wall or just laying somewhere safe. I'll just have to wait for E3 and later this year to decide if I'm excited for this. Also, since the PS4 is also coming out this year (Q4 I think they said) I could see myself going more to the PS4 route if I'm only going to get one right away, due to the fact they seem to be more Gaming based. But of course, just like the Xbox One, I will wait for E3 and Q4 to see what I want.

I'm out. I was excited for this. I don't want to pay a fee for a game I want just to have. I don't want a Kinect. It's worthless for me. I'm against. I love the 360, but what's revealed so far, isn't worth it.

looks like ill be using my 360 until they stop making games for it
seriously tho....if microsoft wants to control your living room, do that. why cant they leave the gaming stuff to the gamers? i will never....i mean NEVER use skype while trying to play a game. i dont need my xbox to turn on with my voice, im capable of getting off the couch to press a power button. its like they are doing these things just to say "We're better than sony & nintendo" but instead now they are going to put gamestop out of business, and kind of kill the enjoyment of VIDEO GAMES which is what this is all about.
i guess maybe it just isn't anymore. its about entertainment, all in one. games are an afterthought, i bet they'll be charging $70 for games now...maybe more. And with people having to buy used THEN buy a "license" again....what a joke.
why do i need to watch TV through my xbox? i have a tv, i have a cable box. what is the POINT? just give me better game graphics, more hard drive space and a faster processor & a blu-ray player. how is that so difficult to provide?

If the final product has that used games fee, then I will be moving to the PS4.

Now I am just wondering if this thing is going to be $499 like the rumors are suggesting...

When are these company's going to learn as gamers we buy them to play games. GAMES! Nobody gives a damn about any of that other stuff. If I want to watch TV I'll do so on the actual TV not on a gaming console. Skype? Fantasy sports? Xbox trending? SmartGlass? Mandatory installation? Kinect required? Get the hell out of here Microsoft. I've been a huge supporter of the 360 and if a game is multi-platform I always buy it for that over anything else but I'll be passing on the new console.
They lost me right away when they said you have to pay a fee to play used games. Then they add on no backwards compatibility and no XBLA support. You just lost a fan/customer Microsoft. Good job!
I'll be sticking with my Wii U and might pick up the PS4 once it drops in price.

PS4 seems like the better option from what I've heard of the Xbox One. I feel like there focusing more on the entertainment aspect rather than just games.

The restrictions on used games is a deal breaker for me. I'm a diehard Xbox fan, but I'll be switching over to PS4 if that stays the way it is. Thats how I feel. I the only reason I have some of the games that I do is because of used game stores.

Phil Harrison: "You'll have to pay a fee—and not just some sort of activation fee, but the actual price of that game—in order to use a game's code on a friend's account. Think of it like a new game."
Awesome.

I've never been a fan of Xbox, but I was willing to give this a chance, and I'm honestly not impressed by it. Microsoft's last priority is games.

I'm surprised to see I'm the only one who likes all the extra entertainment stuff. Of course I'm not a hardcore gamer. I play games in spurts but my gaming systems still get used regularly.

I've read stuff that says the fee to play a used game and a friend's game is false but I am so confused I don't really know what to think.. @_@
I was not impressed. I'm like a lot of people in this thread I just want better graphics all this extra stuff is not anything I really care about.
If I'm playing my Xbox chances are I am NOT going to want to watch TV or a movie.. Who does that?
Idk about this but I'll have to judge more when I see gameplay for stuff I am interested in and the information about the used stuff etc is 100% known.

I just want to play games. All that other crap isn't interesting. This is coming from an Xbox fan. They didn't say much at all about anything that matters. Sonya conference wasn't much better and the wii u is crap. This gen of consoles is very disappointing so far. I have never been less excited about new gaming systems. Finally a voice of reason.....Im sorry but as a huge xbox fan i am not sold on all these bullcrapgimmicks i wanna play a game not skype or use hand signals and i am certainly not too lazy to change tv inputs from a remote so dissapointed oh and the lebron and star trek 2 shoutouts were cheesey as hell. Sounded like someone in wwe name dropping hogan or austin simply for a cheap pop
