$4,273.89 is the re-listed asking price after the last auction ended below reserve. That seems a bit steep to me. Consider the seller.

I wouldn't even put a gem mint carded figure for that much. Good luck to that loony 'cause he's NEVER gonna get that much. Lol. Told ya it wouldn't meet the reserve.

Man am I ever glad I am not the only one who thinks this guy is a fruit cake, 90 per cent of his stuff is priced ridiculous, and shipping ontop of that...just makes me sick

We know the re-list price. Was was the original reserve price before he lowered it I wonder? I'm guessing at least $5000, lol. In the listing he said "How many thousands is this worth" and $5000 would be my best guess. And now, he's willing to take a bit of a hit, haha. Not much of one though, lol. If he really wanted to sell it, he would've put the reserve at $1000 and it would've sold and he'd be a thousand bucks richer right now. But nope, he took the greedy route and still has it and lost money by re-listing it again. eBay auctions aren't free, you know. He's going to keep on re-listing it and it's just going to keep costing him more and more money. He's a dummy for having such an insane reserve price.

I thought the final price (which didn't meet the reserve) was about right for it. I think he should just throw it in with an opening bid of $1500 without any reserves on it. Just my opinion. If collectors think it is worth more than that, then they will bid accordingly. Reserves can and do put some folk off. They don't always go the way of encouraging folk to bid higher than they normally would.

I like how the title of this is "What is it worth?" and then he goes on to put a ridiculous reserve on his auction. You obviously had a price in mind, so why bother asking?

The bam bam bigelow pictured here was said to be a fake and the bubble belonged to big bossman, is that correct. I was the one who originally uploaded the pic of Bam Bam. It came from an old Lee's Action Figure News and Toy Review LJN guide. It's a legit magazine, but I have no idea where they got the pics from, so I can't say if it's real or not. I have never seen an actual Bam Bam black card for sale.

not trying to back the seller up, but calling him greedy isnt really fair. You have no idea what he paid for the item. If he paid $2000 for it, he isnt gonna sell for $1500 or less...so its not really being greedy. Im not a collector of MOC's, but if this thing is a once in a few years type of item, it probably is worth like $3000+ then, when u compare to what stuff is worth from other toy lines that have the same rarity..

I'm all for free enterprise, and it's his right to make whatever he can off of his items, but he's known around here and elsewhere for buying items and reselling them for insane prices. That's why everyone is on his case. I'm not saying he shouldn't do that (that's the way the world works and he's able to get these rare items so more power to him) but on the same note he opens himself up to criticism.
I think it's obvious he doesn't care what we think, which is perfectly fine as well, but it's always an interest topic of conversation here when he finds something new. In a way, I think it's great that he keeps finding these things that might not otherwise have found the light of day to the majority of the collecting world.

I never understood why he can obtain so many rare items, expect top dollar, and then put no effort into his listing descriptions. its always the same vague generic listing. you can also tell from his negative feedback that his poor listings and shipping costs are a big problem.

Putting up an online auctions is free, by the way. They only charge you if it sells. You're allowed 50 or so free listings per month. He's not losing out on any money by testing the water.

True, but some items just sell themselves.

I have dealt with him in the past on ebay and its not very pleasant and the shipping is by far the slowest in the world even with his jacked up prices on it. His descriptions are always so vague and doesnt ever describe individual pieces. Just a copy and paste throughout the whole profile. Some cool stuff on there but I am not in my collection to make money. He is. Thats not a collector.

It seems like it's in the right selling range currently.
since my time on ebay which is about 1999, I've seen 4-5 for sale.
I would love a black macho man but I don't mess with MOC LJNs. I never owned one because I was always scared to death of the dense rubber weighing that bubble seal down and eventually ripping it off.
So my other option was to collect uncut bio cards. I have a full uncut set including all tag teams (uncut if I could find them also but not easy). Macho is my favorite guy so i'm still trying to track down an uncut Black card bio for him but all the other re issue black cards I never pursued mainly because it seems like most are Hogan backs and you never know who actually has a real individual bio.
The black reissue posters are a true task. I tried to get a macho but like brisko3 said, it was out of my league. I only saw a jake and ax '89 from postings on these boards.
I believe a stud and brutus '89 poster are out there somewhere in canada

Hey, but for that price you get "Free Economy Shipping"! For that price he should personally deliver it to the winner.
I don't know why he doesn't have an eBay store with the number of listings he has. Without a store you only get 50 free listings a month, but if you have a store you can get up to 2700 free listings, depending on your subscription level. Also, the percentage they charge on the final price is lower if you have a store.
