The commentating on Raw (not sure about SD as I haven't tuned in for awhile) is a major problem with the show. They ruin some of the better moments on the program with their awful timing and often annoying commentating. Jerry Lawler, JBL, and Michael Cole are some of the worst pundits to collectively call the play by play in recent memory. Giving some examples of their messy work, recently this past Monday the commentating during the Shield and Wyatts segment was awful and killed the mood of the moment when the lights went out leading to the confrontation as JBL and King attempted to sell the excitement. And during the Cena Cesaro match when Cesaro suplexed Cena into the ring from the outside JBL practically spoiled the spot by telling viewers "Now watch this" prior to the move being executed. There are many other instances where I just cringe at what is being said at that table but I have had enuff of it.
Of course this would be an opinion of my own if it wasn't an objective one. So that being said, I would like to see all three get released and replaced. If anyone else feels this way lets keep this thread alive.

The commentary is horrible...They're more concerned with laughing at their own stupid jokes and making fun of each other than analyzing the action in the ring, but unfortunately they're not going to be replaced anytime soon. In a perfect world, JR and Paul Heyman would be on commentary still.

LOL. Cole and JBL are not that bad. Lawler is pretty bad. And JBL makes me laugh sometimes too. Cole is a decent straight man. They do fine with what they have to stare at IMO.

Jerry is done... what I mean, he should be done.
I think Michael and JBL have decent chemistry, the problem isn't really their fault. The WWE wants them to push stupid stuff and the stores, not the action in the ring. Cole can do play by play, but the voices in his ear want him to push apps, networks, Total Divas and at best the stories, they don't want him to call the moves and action specifically.

Cole and JBL can do it right when Lawler isn't there.. Monday Night Raw is a giant joke for some reason, but the commentary on Smackdown trumps Raw.

Lawler needs to hang em up. JBL/Cole actually have very good chemistry and bounce off each other very well, Then King just comes in and throws the entire flow off. 90% of the time, It seems like he just says something just to be heard. He has no passion for it anymore.

Lawler just sucks, Jbl and Cole used to be much better on Smackdown years ago, but I think what's changed is what the WWE are telling them to promote and say. It just feels like the actual wrestling and competition side of things is at the bottom of the pile in terms of the commentators priorities. If they did change personnel, I'd like to see Regal and Striker. Maybe Byron Saxton or Josh Matthews to play the face-loving straight man.

Just get rid of Lawler, the guy is terrible. This would be like getting rid of your crazy uncle who wonders the streets aimlessly, drunk as a skunk & collecting cats! Jerry Lawler is part of the furniture mind you the same could have been said for Good'Ole JR... -.- Anyway back to my point, if those other 2 bozos would let King get a word in edgeways without talking over him or dismissing what he has to say he could have something epic to contribute. He sure as hell has a lot more to contribute than Michael Cole & JBL. Get rid of them 1st then Renee Young & that new guy "Jonathan?!, Justin?!" The guy who thinks he's on Monday Night Football... Back to Jerry! - He has been significantly muted since the introduction of the "PG Era" long gone are the days of Puppy Power & I still miss him & JR! |

The first ever Hell In A Cell match is pretty hard to forget, especially since he was the one that called it. -The endless amount of weight jokes towards Vickie Guerrero even though she was in pretty good shape. And this Oh and his Affliction t-shirts look  ing stupid. |
