In my opinion, it would make the product better and more fresh, overall. Allows for feuds to not get stale as quickly and doesn't allow 7 rematches to occur in a 3-month span.
I know there's been rumors of SmackDown moving to Thursday nights and them no longer having SmackDown is all but never going to happen... what're your thoughts?

Why? Because some people can't enjoy a taped product?

I'd like to do split brand live tapings, then move SD to 3 hours. But, maybe that's just me. As it stands now, I rarely tune into SD an always tune into RAW. I think moving it to Thursday nights could help.

Why? Because some people can't enjoy a taped product? Nothing to do with it being taped. Did you even read the post? It's to save the product from becoming stale with the same matches happening week after week. Because of SmackDown, how many times have we seen Sheamus/Orton, Sheamus/Cesaro, etc.? Feuds are becoming stale after two weeks, because of lazy writing to drag a program out for 8-10 shows, instead of 4-5. If there was only RAW (again), writers would have to build a feud in those 4-5 RAWs... probably leading to better writing.

As long as Smackdown is making money (which it does, lots), then no, it's not time to end it.
As far as keeping the shows fresh, that's an issue for creative. They managed to write decent stuff for both shows in 1999-2002. There's no real reason that Smackdown or Raw have to be filled with the same rematches over and over, just WWE at the moment likes to do things that way instead of writing stories.

I would prefer it to stay because I enjoy it most weeks, but I see what you're saying and agree with you.

Smackdown doesn't need to go away, it just needs to be treated as a show thats on a level just below Raw, not a show 4 levels down sharing equality with shows like Main Event. Raw should be the A show, SD the B show, Main Event and NXT the C shows, and Superstars the D show. They just need to start saving some quality moments for SD, ever since the brand split ended it just hasnt done well. At least before even when we were getting Sheamus/Big Show/Del Rio, we were getting unique stories that weren't on Raw and vice versa.

I miss the days of Angle/Benoit/Eddie/Chavo/Edge/Mysterio.
I'd like to see them rely the same way with guys like Rollins/Ambrose/Cesaro/Zayn/Kenta/Devitt. I'd watch every week.

Main Event has surpassed it in terms of importance. But no, don't end it. The more wrestling on my TV the better. Creative just needs to be better about not repeating the same things every week.

SmackDown is clearly being used as nothing more than a storyline stretcher. I don't even watch it and have noticed that nothing of real importance occurs on Fridays anymore.
The show was good, when (as previously stated) it had it's own storylines. Instead, now, it's just a recap of RAW and rematches from RAW last week. Awful.

I'm never one to wish for less wrestling. But I see your point, it would help improve RAW.

I just feel like now is a good time to increase the writing within the company, by not having a show on Friday nights... that's mostly a recap of RAW. Which is also suffering recently.

You don't watch it and it's all recaps and rematches? Ok well I like rematches. They're necessary to give guys a purpose. That's how feuds are born. And RAW has just as many if not more recaps than Smackdown. I know because I do watch Smackdown and enjoy it. How can you criticize a show you don't watch?

Replace Smackdown with NXT, move Smackdown to the Network. NXT, I feel, could stand on its own now with the talent level they have and it's not game show/reality show-esque anymore.

I been begging for brand split since about 2012. They had nice thing going for while in late 2011-early 2012 when smackdown was still like it's own and was brand but yet you still saw smackdown stars on Raw.

Because it was recaps a month ago, when I gave up on it. I also read results, where it states the matches and recaps. THAT is how I can criticize it. Oh, so feuds are born by seeing the same match 2-3 times in a month span? You would've HATED the WWE up until 5-10 years ago...

Yes. I haven't watched it more than a couple of times in a decade. When I read the results or watch replays, it never makes me wish I had watched it.

Yes.
They should've ended it when it got bitch slapped to the Friday night lineup on the damn SciFi channel.
I haven't watched it in YEARS and have literally missed nothing. Storyline progression doesn't happen on Smackdown. Yeah, I'm sure someone will correct me here but how often does anything on Smackdown really matter?

Majority of SmackDown doesn't make sense anymore, anyway. Especially the advertised main events...
"This Friday on SmackDown, Roman Reigns will be tested. As he goes one-on-one with Ryback!"
... we were born to ruuuuuun... -.-
