I don't really got a problem as long as he wins the title.

Not every talent needs to be hot shot to the top within a year. Not even two. Or three. He's popular. He's young. He's being used regularly. He'll be fine. Agreed. However I was dismayed at his booking in the RR....the fact he wasn't permitted even one elimination? that irked me.

I have a problem with the term "Midcard for life". With respects, he has just been put in a slow building feud for the IC Title, which judging by BNB's constant loses since his return, Ambrose is sure fire to come out on top in this feud.
Plus, an feud for an undercard title at Mania has been a stepping stone for multiple future stars in the past. RVD, Cena, Jericho/Angle etc. The feud is only going to be as successful as Dean Ambrose makes it, and so far he has excelled in building himself in one on one feuds at both main event level and lower on the card.
Ambrose may 'deserve better' in some people's eyes, but a World Title feud is beyond him right now. The IC Title is having some much needed credibility restored by making it the focus of this feud. It will only elevate Ambrose further towards the Main Event.
And if you think Ambrose deserves better right now, spare a thought for Ziggler and Ryback. Compared to how their wrestlemania season is shaping up, Ambrose definately isn't the one who people should worry about being stuck in mid-card for life. WWE clearly have a lot more faith in Ambrose than they do in those guys.

I'm fine with it for two reasons
A) It's a million times better than the Andre the Giant Battle Royal B) This is the big one. I miss the days when someone would win the mid-card title before he moves up to the main event eventually. My biggest issue with Roman Reigns winning the Royal Rumble and being hot shot to the WWE Title picture is that he did it without doing anything of real merit. Because they're hellbent on over pushing Reigns right now, guys like Ambrose will have to wait. I think that could benefit him in the long run.

they are ing over any other face that is over so you are forced to cheer for Reigns. Ziggler and Ryback are a tag team. They are going to feed Bryan to Reigns at fastlane. and Ambrose is going for a tile were nobody can win a match if you get it.

But we've seen plenty of guys get no eliminations one year and tear down the house the next.

It'd be cool if he gets screwed out of a win at Fast Lane through shenanigans and a four-way or something's set for WM:
Bad News Barrett (c) vs. Dean Ambrose vs. (arbitrarily) Luke Harper vs. (arbitrarily) Erick Rowan
and Ambrose finally gets the win and the belt. It'd be a good way to a) showcase the midcard talent the WWE has on the grandest stage, b) get Ambrose over on a molasses-slow build of him not being able to win on PPV, as well as c) have a match at Wrestlemania that isn't rumored to be just an ordinary singles match (Lesnar/Reigns, Bryan/Ziggler, Cena/Rusev, Bray/Taker).

Yeah, someone challenging for a midcard title right now means WWE doesn't care about them and their career is going nowhere. Relax. Ambrose has a lot of years left in him. The only concern is what he's going to do about that hairline/style to make him possible to decently capture in videogames and toys without them just basing his look on the original Shield slicked-back promo shots.

If I had to assume he'll lose at FL but win the title at WM. And if that is the case, that shows they have some plans for him. Cause not too many win the IC title at WM these days.

He needs to take the IC title off of Barrett that's for sure. He's young yet and has a long career ahead of him. He'll get to the main event eventually.

I agree 100% that the guy is being misused. How can anyone justify all the losing he has been doing since the shield broke up. Yes they wernt always clean but the fans don't care of its clean it not, they only care about the win-loss record. And during that bray feud ambrose lost all of those matches clean. He'll even foley got more wins than Dean (also don't forget reigns got a clean won over Seth right in the middle of his and deans feud).
The mass fans want to stay behind Dean. but he can only lose to the bray Wyatts and Seth Rollins so much before they don't give a crap anymore. I think he's main event ready, but also agree not everyone can get pushed to the top of the card right away. However, when he's loosing this much and is going to feud over a worthless title it shows the little faith the wwe has in him. We've seen this same story play out many time over the past 15 years and I seriously cannot see how anyone can still defend his crap booking.

And to the people defending the wwes booking of Ambrose, how's this "he'll be fine" crap working out for Dolph. For years people defended his terrible booking as he's young and will be fine yet he's in the same spot now as he was 5 years ago. What makes people think it'll be any different for Dean? I see the wwe pulling the same main event "tease" with Dean that they've been doing with Dolph.

Or, maybe they want to see how he handles himself as a champion. IC title was a stepping stone once, remember. People can do great things with the "meaningless" title. Cody Rhodes was a fantastic IC champion, and made me care about the belt for once till he lost it. If Ambrose wins it, he might be able to do the same. People continue to defend his crap booking because...there's not a whole lot of BS there, honestly. Yeah, the Bray feud, fine. Aside from that, there's the Royal Rumble itself (which....was crap for almost everyone involved). Ambrose is over like crazy and was used to make Bray and Seth strong. I have no problems with it. Now, they're using BNB to, seemingly, build Ambrose up. Slow builds can be done in a variety of ways. Booking isn't always cookie cutter.

Ambrose has been fine in both categories so far and is all about 100 times better than Dolph on the mic.

That's no excuse for the wwes crap booking of him. Him and Dean are in similar situations.
