This is great, it's more about his loyalty than his accomplishments I suppose which is still cool.
I remember watching a DVD or something about him getting shot or something like that and I was 5 and literally had nightmares, what a legend.

Why does the WWE now spoil their own surprises? Probably cause TMZ kept spoiling them.

Why so much negativity? Mid carders deserve to go in aswell.

Why so much negativity? Mid carders deserve to go in aswell. Only because it's a HOF that doesn't really mean a lot. I mean this would be like if Ryan Smyth gets inducted into the Hockey Hall Of Fame. Sure he had a pretty good career and everyone liked him but he never won a cup ans never broke any records of note. It's all well and good if he was a person's favorite but if it was an actual prestigious hall of fame with an actual building then it should be reserved for the people that actually had a big impact on the industry which to be frank, Rikishi did not. And this is coming from someone who was hooked into watching wrestling because of seeing Rikishi and a Dude Love vignette.

Might as well induct the J.O.B squad and haystacks Calhoun while were at it -WMD Haystacks was a HUGE draw back in his day. A bit of a pioneer as far as big men go. I don't understand your logic. Completely understand that, I believe that haystacks deserves it more than kishi because of his drawing power...and the J.O.B squad I found more enjoyable -WMD

Probably this is Rock returning the favor for running down Austin.
Seriously glad for the Big Kish.

I hope they refer to him only as the guy who hit Austin with a car. Was it a rear-end collision?

I don't believe he's worthy of Hall of Fame. So many others deserve that spot ahead of him. If he can make it in, then King Kong Bundy is a shoe-in. Bundy main-evented a Wrestlemania, that alone already beats out Rikishi.
Rikishi doesn't deserve that spot. I just don't buy him as a credible Hall of Famer.

I don't think Rikishi had a career even remotely close to being considered Hall of Fame worthy but whatever.
Good for him.

How is he getting in before Vader? Because Fatu is a WWE guy through and through. C'mon guys, we ALL know this is a very WWE biased Hall of Fame. Oh well, good for 'Kish though. I've always been a fan, even at 16 years old when the gimmick first hooked up with Too Cool, I was. I get some of the heat he gets though. I mean for god sakes, the guy became a Superstar for having an insanely Large dimply ass which he wipes in people's faces and line dances after doing it! For your old school, serious, Ric Flair/Harley Race/Paul Orndorff type fans, it's a ing joke. By hey, from a Sports Entertainer standpoint, Rikishi is a shoe-in.

He didn't have a HOF career, period. Honestly, they should really cut down on the number of inductions every year so we aren't getting filler. The HOF should be the "best of the best" and most elite superstars only. I could even see the argument being made for someone who was groundbreaking or changed the business in some way. Rikishi is none of the above. You're right. He doesn't belong.

I don't even hold the WWE Hall of Fame in high regard anymore to be honest so cool for him to get in I guess.
To me, the WWE should have went the same way as the Hockey Hall of Fame, induct four people a year who truly deserve it. They are going to start running out of people who deserve it soon.

And what did he do that warrant a Hall of Fame induction? I like Kish but come on. Whatevs, congrats to him. The WWE treats the HOF like a wrestling show. Rikishi is the mid-card draw for the HOF this year. They can't put all the main event guys in at one time, it would make the other HOF shows seem less spectacular. Pretty much. I think he is a worthy mid card guy so congrats to him. I was hoping the third inductee would be a woman like it has been for the last two years (Trish and Lita) so now that that mini-streak is over I hope we still get one because, despite what some people may say, there are many women worthy to be inducted...

Congrats to him but this is kinda out of no where. He's from the area so I guess him and Ray Stevens covers that
