I'm so glad that two pages in, we haven't had any of the "you're just a butthurt fan" comments from the usuals. Onto the subject matter, I get that Paul Heyman needs to put over Roman Reigns leading into WrestleMania. That's fine, he has mentioned on Steve Austin's podcast that he knows he has to build up both guys to make you order the Pay-Per-View. But to go as far as he did last night was insulting. Even as a casual viewer, Roman hasn't done a damn thing to make anyone in their right mind believe that he would be the smart money against Stone Cold, John Cena, The Rock, Bruno, etc. I get the idea behind it, but it came off as way too forced. Daniel Bryan endorsing him as someone that has earned his respect was perfect. That was what I figured was the point of the Fast Lane match. The rest of the segment was another poor piece in a really bad episode of Raw.

That segment last night was by far one of the most forced and cringeworthy things i've ever watched on WWE TV. They are trying SO HARD to make Reigns into something he clearly isnt. Paul Heyman saying he has his money on Reigns against all the top stars was laughable as hell. The guy had count out victory against Kane, Lost to Big Show the other week, Beat Fandango and had a PPV match with Orton and is a 1 time tag team champion. What threat is this guy? Why cant they just let Reigns get over organically? Is it really that hard? Cena got over organically, Austin got over organically, Rock got over organically. They never shoved any of those guys down our throat during their rise to the top. They all had midcard title runs and built their way up. Fans LOVED them. The guy who barely beat Orton, barely beat Bryan. Didn't even pin Kane, and lost to Big Show is supposed to be bought as a threat to the guy destroyed Undetaker and ended a 21 year streak, destroyed Cena 3 times, has been in some of the best brawls with guys like Triple H and CM Punk since he came back, and is just an absolute animal. Ridiculous |

I can't be the only one who thinks this may be GENIUS booking actually. And I say that because I've got the impression that, since Brock Lesnar may be leaving the WWE soon, they're working on something for Paul Heyman to do after that. I mean... think about it. Paul Heyman has been praising Roman Reigns ever since he won the Royal Rumble, saying he respects him and that he think Roman's the Next Big Thing. All the praise from last night from Heyman might very well be more work in that direction. And if that's what they're going with then I must say that I'm ALL for a Roman Reigns being Paul Heyman's new client. I think they're a great match. And if Lesnar really is leaving WWE then Heyman is left alone where he can concentrate in managing a new client without having to constantly praise the other one(Cof Cof Cesaro Situation Cof Cof). Reigns's  ing Awesome when he's just the silent badass just like he was in The Shield. No matter what people say now... the guy proved last night that he can go in the ring. And with Heyman doing the talking I we may have some magic happening. Edit: Of course this might be me just dreaming. But it's one idea that I got... As much as I like this idea I hate the fact to think it might end up as another Curtis axel  |

I interpreted that promo way differently to you guys evidently; judging by Reigns' facial expression while Heyman was making those bold claims, it came across to me that Heyman was being purposely outrageous, talking Reigns up, his real aim all the while being to to further talk Lesnar up. I honestly doubt the purpose of that promo was to make the point that Roman Reigns is better than Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold.

Lol. It's pretty funny to get upset at what was obviously Paul Heyman hyperbolically buttering up Reigns to shoot him down with Lesnar. But any reason to complain, right? I don't care if the purpose of the promo was for Heyman to shoot Reigns down with Lesnar. Reigns' name has no business being mentioned alongside the likes of Bruno, Hogan, Austin and Rock and the fact that WWE even attempted to instill that thought into the viewers' minds is appalling. |

Why are people reading so much into this promo? I took it for the typical Heyman promo where he tells Brock's opponents how great they are, but they still no chance against Brock. That is all that promo was. Which was Heyman basically saying Brock is better than all the past guys mentioned.

Some of the same guys who are constantly talking about how Reigns isn't ready for a WrestleMania main event, just four years ago were talking about how great The Miz was in the lead up to WrestleMania. That is all that promo was. Having it immediately follow Bryan's promo didn't help. Although I do find it slightly funny that Heyman cut the promo and Reigns is getting the heat. Where's the Heyman hate?!?   |
