I took the promo as Heyman being snide, condescending, and exaggerating just to shoot Roman down again. However, the heat from the crowd still seemed to be on Roman and it's been a really strange situation. I don't know if it was a failed attempt at getting the heat off of Roman and onto Heyman/Lesnar or if this is all leading to a Reigns heel turn, but either way things seem off and I'm interested to see what happens.

The moment they kepp pushing Reigns year after year and you all hate him, will any of you start cheering for John Cena against him? No clue what this means but Cena is miles above Reigns so I would cheer him no matter what. He can say he hates me straight to my face and I'd cheer for him over reigns right now

Anyone defending that segment or the "Roman Empire" is straight up deluded.

Kind of like JBL on commentary a few months back saying that The Shield were as great as the Four Horsemen, Freebirds and NWO.....honestly I guess it's best to just turn Reighns heel very soon...I've never seen a guy get turned on this quick. This is one for the record books. His push has been horribly botched.

Also, before someone comes in here and says something along the lines of "don't like it then don't watch" I'm already one step ahead of you. I watch the 90 minute Hulu Plus edition of Raw and even that is usually just on for background noise while I do other things. Honestly, if it wasn't for NXT then I'm not sure I'd be watching at all and as a 18 year wrestling fan it makes me sad and I don't want it to be that way at all. This isn't Roman Reigns' fault either. At all. It makes me feel bad for him, to be honest. Agreed. It's not Roman's fault he got pushed. I feel so sorry for the guys on the roster who are ready to be in his position, who have the talent clear for all to see, and could take the ball and run for miles with it.

WWE always over-sells their stuff. To the point that it's become genuinely insulting to literally PRETEND like things didn't exist the way they did. They have been hell bent on making sure Reigns was talked about like the greatest, most powerful superstar in history. The problem is, who are they selling to? Kids will buy into that crapall day, kids weren't even born when Austin was at his peak. So why bring him up? Because it's a you to the adult fans who are booing him. Vince isn't deaf. He isn't blind. He may be busy working out and running a massive company, but he LOVES negativity. Because any kind of talk is talk. Any kind of trend is a trend. Telling us Reigns is better than Austin is no different from them calling Cena the greatest champion of all time. Except that it is, because they have actually done right by Cena all these years. Cena worked his way up through the mid-card, winning titles and finding an entertaining character people loved. He climbed to the top of the mountain and has held there for a long time. Reigns hasn't done a ing thing besides winning the tag titles once and defending them like 4 times. His character is flawed, boring and completely over-sold. Just like his career. Of his fault or not, this company wants Reigns to be their new guy. So you, you will like it. And there's nothing we can do about it

I can't believe WWE had the audacity to insult the fans' intelligence by having Ryback claim that Rybaxel were the greatest team in WWE history. Even though that's not what they were doing I'm gonna act like they were anyway.

Lol. It's pretty funny to get upset at what was obviously Paul Heyman hyperbolically buttering up Reigns to shoot him down with Lesnar. But any reason to complain, right? I don't care if the purpose of the promo was for Heyman to shoot Reigns down with Lesnar. Reigns' name has no business being mentioned alongside the likes of Bruno, Hogan, Austin and Rock and the fact that WWE even attempted to instill that thought into the viewers' minds is appalling. I'm with you.

I'm so glad that two pages in, we haven't had any of the "you're just a butthurt fan" comments from the usuals. Onto the subject matter, I get that Paul Heyman needs to put over Roman Reigns leading into WrestleMania. That's fine, he has mentioned on Steve Austin's podcast that he knows he has to build up both guys to make you order the Pay-Per-View. But to go as far as he did last night was insulting. Even as a casual viewer, Roman hasn't done a damn thing to make anyone in their right mind believe that he would be the smart money against Stone Cold, John Cena, The Rock, Bruno, etc. I get the idea behind it, but it came off as way too forced. Daniel Bryan endorsing him as someone that has earned his respect was perfect. That was what I figured was the point of the Fast Lane match. The rest of the segment was another poor piece in a really bad episode of Raw. This is why I wished we got Roman Reigns/Triple H (which was rumored to happen) over Roman Reigns/Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2014. The way he has been booked, I feel sorry for Reigns. I sure hope he has a pair of goggles and a oxygen tank. Reigns is going to be in for one hell of a swim. Let's see what happens when he is placed into the proverbial water. Them waters are choppy and can force you to sink in a moments notice.

Not sure if he was told to say this. It wouldn't surprise me if Heyman can more less say what he wants at this point. Heyman like Roman, and wants to put him over as a legit threat. Did he get carried away? Yeah but it's Heyman, he sells. It's what he does.

Match at Fast Lane? Awesome. Exactly what he needed.
Bryan on RAW? Fine. Acceptable enough for Bryan to be like "You won, bro."
Heyman? -- Set Reigns back to before the match.
Letting Reigns talk so much? Set him two steps back.
I'm incredibly disappointed with what they did with him, last night.

Match at Fast Lane? Awesome. Exactly what he needed. I dont think it was acceptable for Reigns to be the first guy ever to kick out of the running knee only for Bryan to take one spear (the most over used finisher of all time) and be pinned.

I appreciate that a Roman Reigns can look at last night and agree that it wasn't a good move. Thank you for being logical instead of responding with the typical things we've come to see from some people. I salute you.
