Back then bands actually made their records on tape. Nowadays there's only a few bands who still do that while the rest uses ProTools, Autotune and all the other sh*t.

Have to legitimately wait a week to find out what was happening on Raw or Smackdown.
Nowadays, you can't check the WWE board without some asshat posting about a rumour that so and so is in the area that Raw is in tonight, or this guy is rumoured to turn heel on this guy next month.

I feel like my generation (born in 88) was the last generation to grow up on hand drawn animated movies. I could be wrong, and If I am please let me know.. But when I think back to one of the last things my generation truly experienced, Disney animation comes to mind.. CGI slowly crept in after Toy Story into the late 90's.. But hand drawn animation was all but dead before I entered high school. Disney was still releasing hand drawn animated movies all throughout the 90s, they did their first cgi movie (Dinosaur) around 2000/2001, but for a few years continued with hand drawn films like Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis and Brother Bear in the early 00s.

Does anyone have Family Video in their area? When Blockbuster and Hollywood Video were around, it was the crapty rental place that no one wanted to go to but now they are thriving. They've opened dozens of stores in Missouri alone since Blockbuster went under. There are tons of them in Oklahoma. Theres 2 or 3 within 30 miles of my house.

Going to the grocery store and hoping they had the latest issue of WWF Magazine.....
I was hunting for those long before I was hunting for figures.... new generations will never know the joy of paging through the photos & stories about the superstars of the WWF....

I remembering watching a doc on one of those guys, a Mormon Family Video rental place, a while back...interesting stuff. I always thought they stayed out west, trippy to see these stores moving in other areas. It's been years since I've rented there -- before Blockbuster went under actually -- but I've never gotten an edited movie from them.

The name Family Video sounded close to some of their type stores. Good to see new video stores popping up. We have Hastings here, which rules. I hear there are some longstanding stores, some new openers (independent stores with more indy titles than big, and always the libraries of the world. So excited to see more exist. Nothing better than renting from a store. We actually used to rent at grocery stores and convenience stores, here. Physical media, knock on wood, will always be wanted. Nothing better than that media and all the artwork, menus, easter eggs, etc. VPV

Walkmen and CD players. I remember walking around with a CD player which stretched the hell out of the pocket it was in. My other pocket stretched as well since it held the CDs. Back then CDs were a rarity for me so I'd carry them around in the case. Kids these days don't know the struggle.
When I didn't have CDs, I'd listen to the radio waiting for a song I like to play. When it did, I'd frantically hit the 'record' button and record it onto a cassette tape. Back then, that was my iTunes Store.
Dial up internet. Even the discovery of the internet. Not knowing what to look up and immediately looking up adult material. Waiting 10 minutes for a single image of a nakey girl to load. I remember having Limewire and setting five or six songs to download overnight and being the happiest kid in the world because they'd be finished downloading (or nearly finished) by the morning.
I'll happily take today's technology over the above.

Remember the times when you'd hit the web browser button on your phone by accident and then start to panic? How times have changed ...

Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke are some of the best films I've ever seen. Too bad they've closed their company now .
