I bought a CD last week, and it was a Waylon Jennings CD too so that pretty much tells you how behind the times I am. Behind the times with Waylon Jennings? I buy Elvis CDs... I'd say we both have some catching up to do, though in my case it's not likely to ever happen.

Furby Tickle Me Elmo Action Figures I can afford, easily yoyo's Troll dolls Board Games Chickenfoot Dominos Pass the Pigs Trivial Pursuit Nu Metal Most new shows that last on tv more than a season While these things all still exist, they are not the mass craze they once were. I don't put physical media, renting movies, and magazines there, and certain tv shows, because there are many whom feel these to be things that should stay around, and that are possibly, IMO, superior to anything digital; some classic shows are getting reunions and continuations... come on Dawson Given time, I see a world where both exist peacefully, one never defeating the other. It is nice to know that we can expose the younger generation to the awesomeness we lived in, giving everything a chance for a comeback. I mean, nothing like this really dies, it just lays dormant for a while. Bring on the ECW, WCW, and all our "defunct" orgs back again. The future could be grand... VPV

Speaking of disposable cameras. We've got a tradition that whenever we meet we take a group picture with a disposable camera so when we develop it we've got many pictures of ourselves that we've never seen before that should give us some great memories. I think that's a very cool idea.

hah... my generation as a young kid in the 70's:
-NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, and some local UHF channels. No cable, no FOX or WB. -Only one late night show, the Tonight's Show with Johnny Carson. -VCR? What's that? We were stuck watching what was on and that was that. -Color TV? Man we couldn't afford such a luxury yet. The 19" Black and White TV was so groovy! -Oh and remote control, my dad had one of those, it was called Jay. Yes me. "GET UP AND CHANGE THE CHANNEL JAY!" "GET UP AND RAISE THE VOLUME JAY" Heck and I didn't even require batteries! -Oh Car air conditioning? Another luxury my parents couldn't afford at the time. Auto Windows in a car? I think only Cadillac had those fancy things as an option. -Records, 8 track tapes... 'nuff said! -Computers? Sure maybe if you consider the $400 'pocket' calculator a computer. Although they did go down in price in the mid to late 70's. It was cool to make our fancy computer... er rather calculator say "SHELL OIL" or "HELLO" with numbers and turning it upside down. -Cell Phones? Smart Phones? It was cool once they went from Rotary Dial to Touch Tone Dial! That was a smart phone to us... until the cord stretch out too much and was one long floppy thing. -Microwave Ovens? They just came out and were large and heavy and very expensive. No way could we have one of those pricy things. -Video Games? They were lines and squares! Sure that was fun, but it was more fun to go to this place that is widely unknown now a days... called "Outside".
Man I could go on and on!

Good cartoons. Seriously have you seen some of the crap that kids have to watch on TV today? Even the modern Scooby Doo is bollocks. Also, good Saturday night TV. Compared to the 90's when we had stuff like Gladiators, Stars In Their Eyes, Blind Date, Crystal Maze, Beadle's About and so much more there is just nothing as entertaining these days. Sure, the modern TV dramas/comedies throughout the rest of the week (mainly US imports) are good but Saturday just has nothing fun anymore. Some other stuff: Buying games magazines to find out what's coming out, reviews and playable demos on a disc. Walking into a store and being surprised to see the latest wave of WWE figures. Before the internet I had no idea who or what was coming out. Having to decide which one CD/cassette you wanted to take out with you to listen to today on your walkman. Buying comics for next to nothing. In 1994 the main two weekly UK comics were 20p each. They're now £1.50.
