If Batista ever did come back to the WWE again could Batista come back as a babyface realistically? Or could he come back as a heel? For me personally with The Animal if he were to ever come back he would obviously only be back as a part-time superstar like think The Rock since Rock is a movie star A list just like Batista has become or is becoming then Batista coming back as a babyface would make sense and if he did then realistically Batista as a babyface he could have so many feuds like feuding with the COO Triple H, Bray Wyatt, Rollins, Rusev, Sheamus, etc. but as a heel Batista could feud with Brock, Taker, Cena, Reigns, etc.

Personally I've never been a fan of Batista as a face. Heeltista is where it's at and where I feel he shines best.

I actually felt bad for Batista when he returned, his comeback flopping was because of circumstances out of his control. WWE had the idea, for whatever reason, that with GOTG coming out in summer 2014, he would have a huge babyface reaction upon return, and use that momentum to a title win, promoting the WWE Champion as someone in a major role in a huge summer blockbuster. On paper, it's a good idea and would be smart for business, however, things didn't work out like there supposed to. Daniel Bryan was so over at this time that fans weren't going to accept anyone other than him winning the 2014 Royal Rumble and winning the title at WrestleMania XXX. When he wasn't even in the Rumble, fans were livid, at WWE, not Batista, and indirectly and somewhat unfairly took out their anger on him. Turing Batista heel was the only option, which wasn't necessary a bad thing because Heeltista was always gold. He ended up not wining the main event of WrestleMania XXX, and didn't have many big wins during his 2014 run. He was promised things that didn't end up happening, but often times that happens in any aspect of life. If he doesn't return, it won't bother me, while he still wants to wrestle, he seems to be more interested in movies these days, but it wasn't fair that WWE lied to him, so I understand him being bitter about how things went for him in 2014.

I want Batista back. I don't think he will thought. He could face Lesnar, Ryback or Rusev. He is so much better than Cena. It was a shame to see him leave again.
In a podcast I heard he said where have the real men gone. He thinks WWE is losing it as they can't do what they used to do because of the PG rating.

IF he comes back to television he should be a heel. He shines best and seems more comfortable in that role.
IF he comes back it should be at one of the Big Four PPVs in a marquee match (not necessarily main event) against a face Lesnar. Then he'd go on to work in hard-hitting matches against the likes of Ambrose, Reigns, Rollins (assuming he turns face at some point), Cesaro, etc. But that all depends on whether or not he comes back.

He's not coming back. He's 46 and landed back to back HUGE movie roles. WWE totally screwed him in his last "run". He was supposed to win the title, but the fans turned on him because they thought he "stole" the spot from Daniel Bryan, who originally was NEVER supposed to be anywhere near the WWE title. People forget that WWE turned Daniel Bryan heel and put him in the Wyatt's for a few weeks and then when CM Punk walked out they pulled the plug on that and Daniel Bryan took Punk's spot.

Big Dave has always been a great heel and has to be that if he came back again.

He could be either if it was right now, the only reason he was Getting heat was because wwe were trying to ignore the fans outcry for Bryan to get the title. Rightly so.
He won't come back now though, too old and more money in Hollywood.

They had Bryan sub in for the match Punk was SUPPOSED to have with Triple H, and then they decided to go with the hot hand because Bryan was so over with the crowd and they added him to the main event and put the belt on him instead of Batista. If CM Punk doesn't walk out, Daniel Bryan is a heel and Batista is the WWE Champion.

If he did, I think the fans would back him. Guardians of the Galaxy did a lot for his career. I'm pretty sure he won over a lot of his detractors.

Yeah, and it really leaves me to wonder if guys like Cesaro and owens and Rollins would be doing without Bryan getting himself over the way he did. It really seems that because he organically got white hot as he did that it led to them trusting these "Indy" guys more than they did. Of course.. Shield was white hot, but no one would have predicted they would go with Rollins.

I'd be happy either way. I really wish we would get Batista vs Triple H as a retirement match for one of them.

He NEEDS to come back, he killed it on his last run once they let him be himself.
He should be like Brock IMO, no heel or face just a bad ass dude who has a goal and goes for it.
There are a few guys blurring the lines really works for. Batista is one of them.

It's funny, when he returned last time he should have 100% been heel because that's how the audience remembered him. Now that he's done Guardians, he should 100% return as a babyface because people would associate him with that role.
Not sure if he'll ever be back in a match capacity after everything that happened with his last run, but he doesn't need WWE at this point. It may get to the point where the wait is long enough that he comes back as a babyface by default, which tends to happen with guys.
I assume he wants like a retirement match of some kind. He went out with those Shield vs Evolution matches that were phenomenal though. I could see those being enough for him to hang his hat on. I would have liked to see him face Lesnar had the timing worked out.

People forget that WWE turned Daniel Bryan heel and put him in the Wyatt's for a few weeks and then when CM Punk walked out they pulled the plug on that and Daniel Bryan took Punk's spot. He didn't even take Punk's spot. Rumors at the time reported that Punk was booked to put HHH over at WM. Daniel himself has said in interviews that he was originally suppose to face Sheamus in a filler match. The WWE was so messed up at the time and Batista unfairly got stuck in the middle of it. The fans wanted Bryan to be the main star. The WWE, out of stubbornness or stupidity, refused. They had also booked Punk like crap for most of 2013. Had they simply brough Batista back and had him face HHH (away from the title) none of the backlash would have ever happened. I love Batista and would welcome him back. But I agree that he won't be back. Hes older than HHH. Hes becoming one of the next big action stars in Hollywood and is making far and away more money than he would in the WWE. Why would he go back to the WWE when he was lied to by those in charge and totally shat on by the fans. Not worth it.

He's a natural heel. I don't see him ever being a face again.
