Thanks guys! Great report! I like reading your experiences. I'm glad Gotch finally shaved that mustache off. So are there still Toys R Us stores operating in Canada? Yep! Canadian TRU stores are still operating like usual!

One of the best threads in forum history and I've been here since the beginning. Love reading your signing reports.

A slow year so far for autograph signings, but that will change in a few months. Jazz, Mikey Whipwreck, and Tajiri were back in Toronto for Greektown Wrestling. Joining the trio would be Nunzio aka Little Guido. I needed Little Guido on an ECW figure, so I bought my ticket to the show which includes a meet and greet with the headliners. The meet and greet normally takes place at the Detroit Eatery – a restaurant nearby the wrestling venue. However, the eatery recently had a severe fire that destroyed much of it. Because of that, the meet and greet took place at the wrestling venue, which was a local church. I get there ten minutes before the 4pm start time and see only one person in line. I did not expect a high turnout for the meet and greet as most of us fans got them back in December. A few minutes before 4, one of the staff members say that they’re running behind and will start around 4:15. Not a surprise but the staff at this promotion are always cool. A few minutes later, the wrestlers show up and at about 4:15, we were let in. Only about ten people were there for the meet and greet. One of the local indy wrestlers who runs the show leads us to the area in the church where the meet and greet is. There is a table set up where you can get photos and/or pay for extra autographs. One of the handlers recognizes me and tells the wrestler that I always get a bunch of things signed. I tell them that today is no different and pay for my extra autographs. They tell me to wait a few more minutes because they did not equip the wrestlers with markers. I already had my own markers, including one paint pen which I begin to shake. A second handler notices, and smiles, as if to say that it’s not a surprise I have my own markers. Because I have my own markers, the handlers let me go ahead to meet the wrestlers. The first was Nunzio, who first shakes my hand. I first pull out a program with an ECW DVD cover inside it. He signs the program first, as Nunzio, then signs the DVD cover but before he does, he says “I’ll do Little Guido on this one”. As he signs, I tell him that I met him in Hamilton at Alpha-1 Wrestling. He repeats: “Alpha-1…” I was under the impression that he didn’t remember that appearance, but he was cool and appreciative about it. I then have him sign the ECW figure in blue paint. Before he signs, he asks me where I want it. There really only is room on the card so I ask him to sign there and personalize it. As he signs the figure, he says “this is an old one!”, and I tell him that I’ve had it for a long time. Once he finished signing my items, we take a picture, shake hands, and thank each other. I also give one of my regular blue sharpies to the indy wrestler that runs the show as he was one marker short lol. I then move over to the side to gather my stuff and make sure they dry. I then take my 8x10 photos out for Jazz to sign. I was initially going to ask her to sign using silver paint which I had tested last night. It was working perfectly last night, but I tested it again before the meet and greet, I found that it had dried. This was a blessing in disguise as the blue paint turned out really nice. I tell Jazz it is nice to see her again and she returns the same sentiment to me. Once she signs, I thank her and put the photos away. I then return to her for a photo, but she was preoccupied talking to Mikey. Once she notices me, she apologizes, and stands for the photo. The next wrestler was Mikey Whipwreck. Like Jazz, I tell him that it is nice to see him again and he thanks me. I have him sign an 8x10 of him with Tajiri. I also ask him how he likes Toronto, to which he says that he loves it here. After Mikey signs the photo, he passes the Sharpie and photo over to Tajiri and he signs it. In addition, I also had Tajiri sign a couple of 8x10s to round out the meet and greet. After they sign my stuff, I go behind them for a dual photo, which was great because I already have single photos with the two. I thank them again and the meet and greet is over. Also on the card was DJZ, who recently signed to NXT. I was going to stick around and meet him, but I needed to get some homework done, so I leave after I get my autographs from the main stars. Thanks for reading!

Ouch, sorry to hear about your accident man. Hope you recover soon.
Autographs and meet and greets aren't really my thing, but I love reading your stories. I like hearing when all the wrestlers you meet are cool too.

A bit late with posting this, but better late than never. This is an extremely quick report but with how slow this thread has been this year, it was needed! Psicosis was in Toronto a few days ago for CWE, a promotion that would be making their Toronto debut. Indy shows usually run on Sundays, so this promotion running a Toronto show on a Thursday was a change of pace. Furthermore, them bringing in a fresh name is always a plus. CWE had a 38-day tour to commemorate their anniversary and Psicosis would be their headliner. Toronto would be day 38 of 38. There was a scare on day 37 where a few wrestlers, including Psicosis, get into a car accident up north. I've been conversing with the promoter on Instagram who knew my intentions of attending the show would be meeting Psicosis - he notified me of the accident as soon as he knew, and told me that Psicosis wasn't able to make the particular show the day of the accident, and is not 100% sure if Psicosis will make the Toronto show, but will let me know if he hears anything. The day of the Toronto show, the promoter messages me again and tells me that Psicosis is on route to Toronto. I usually wouldn't do this, but because of how nice the promoters were to me, I will plug the GoFundMe they have running for one of the wrestlers who lost their car in the accident: www.gofundme.com/f/hotshot-danny-duggan-needs-a-new-carAnyways, fast forward to show time, I get there about half an hour before the show was supposed to start, pay my admission and get into the show. Honestly, it was a disappointing turnout (like 30ish people), but the show delivered and it was cool seeing Psicosis in action. About an hour into the show, intermission is announced and Psicosis makes his way to his table to sign autographs. Once I get to his table, I pay the handler for four autographs and a photo. I first have Psicosis sign a WWE program from 2006, which he inscribed Mexicool, as well as the WWE encyclopedia. I also had him sign the Rise and Fall of ECW and the ECW Blood Sport DVD covers. After he signed, I stepped behind the table for a photo. After which he thanked me and shook my hand. While I didn't say much to him, but he did appreciate the fans who came to meet him. This thread has been pretty slow lately, but this will be changing within the next couple of months... including a particular Deadman. Thanks for reading! As a little bonus, I also did the Impact tapings in Toronto. There isn't much of a story here. Just got autographs as they were leaving the venue. The only meet that stood out would be Rob Van Dam. I had asked him to sign an ECW magazine. I told him: "I met you at the Hamilton comic con back in October; you were the coolest guy there! Can you make this out to 'Alex'?". He asks: "is that you?", to which I say "yeah!". He continues: "did I tell you the significance of your name?". I tell him no, and he says "your name is my middle name.. and it's my dad's name!". RVD was cool, as usual. Here is my instagram posts of the autographs I got over the two nights of tapings: http://instagr.am/p/Bw5S6stgz1-

Great job as usual! I really enjoyed Psychosis back in the day. Even though that crash photo is horrific it's a show of the symbolism of the brotherhood of wrestling, the traveling and such. I'm glad there were no deaths.
It's cool RVD said that about your name. He is definitely a chill guy and for as good as he is he is always very grounded compared to some others his age and the time they came up in wrestling. He could have a show or an autograph signing for one person (because of a crappy turnout due to bad advertising) and he would make the most of it and still put on the best show he possibly could even for just that one fan. I'm sure he was a loyal guy too, staying with ECW for so long but he is one of the ECW guys who could have excelled so much, for much more money, in WWF or WCW and done so without a silly gimmick or a hardcore lifestyle.

5000th post! Another quick report - Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Billy Gunn, and Gangrel were in Mississauga, ON for Destiny: The only one I needed at this show was Jim Duggan. While I also do need Billy Gunn, he will be at another show next month at which I will get him. As for Gangrel, I had already met him before and didn't need anything else signed by him. Doors were to open at 7. At 10 minutes past 7, doors open and I head straight to the merch area and see Hacksaw already there signing autographs. I join the line of about 7-8 people and wait my turn. About 10 minutes later, it is my turn. I pay the handler (who I believe is his wife) for an autograph and shake Hacksaw's hand and tell him "nice to see you again!". He replies: "I knew you looked familiar! How have you been!". I tell him that I've been great and ask him to personalize the figure to myself. I also tell him: "you do come to the area pretty often, but I make sure to come and see you every time you do!", which he thanked me for. He then began to sign, and once he started, he immediately commented on how nice the marker on the figure looks and even showed his wife. He finished signing the figure then posed for a photo with him holding the figure up. After that, we thank each other again and his wife again comments on the marker choice. Really happy with the autograph and Hacksaw is always a pleasure to meet. That's pretty much the experience. Thanks for reading! As a little extra for any music fans, here is a report with my favourite singer: Frankie Valli Autograph Signing Report - 5/10/2019 I’ve mentioned before that the only music I really listen to are stuff from the 50’s and 60’s. My favourite group/singer of all-time is Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons who had several hits such as “Sherry”, "Walk Like a Man" and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. Prior to the date of the report, I had already seen Frankie Valli twice in-concert and once I heard that he was coming close to me again, I knew I had to go see him a third time (he's 85-years-old - I need to see him while I still can! lol), so I did and landed third row seats. I had brought along a vinyl in case I could get it signed. Frankie does not do formal sit-down autograph signings, but he does interact with fans during the encore, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to bring it along and try to get it signed as he sang during the encore. As Frankie sings the final song, he usually shakes the hands of people in the front row and I thought this might be a good opportunity. With this plan in mind, I go from my seat to the front of the stage during the second last song. Soon after, the last song begins, and as usual, he starts shaking hands of people in the front. He starts towards the right end of the stage, slowly making his way towards the left end (where I am). The song is about 75% done when he gets to me. Instead of a handshake, I present him a marker and the vinyl. As he sings, he sees my vinyl, nods and sticks out his index finger as to acknowledge that he’ll sign after. This made sense because he was using he dominant hand to hold the mic. Here’s the thing.. I’m off to the left side of the stage. Frankie still has one verse to sing (the chorus of “Let’s Hang On”, for anyone interested). For the last verse, he usually steps to the middle of the stage to end his concerts front and centre; however, he made sure to stay where I was and finished the song right in front of me. In other words, he stayed towards the left side of stage in order to accommodate me for the autograph. Once he sang the last note, he clenches his mic between his arm and side, then crouches down and signs for me. Once he signs, he gives me back the marker and thanks the audience to end his show. This might sound weird to you guys, but this has to be my favourite autograph in my collection. I listen to this guy literally everyday so to be able to say I got his autograph means a lot to me. If you read this report too, thanks again!

While his voice is understandably weaker, he actually sounds great, especially for his age. I'm sure he does use some sort of technological help (live autotune), especially during songs where he has to hit the high notes. At the same time, those songs, however, have been taken a few keys down/lower in order to compensate. Still though, the fact that he's still on the road at 85 is amazing. He seems to really enjoy what he does and it shows as his concerts are thoroughly entertaining. I'd totally go see him a fourth time given the opportunity.
