I'd take Darren Young over any one of those guys. Two of them are racist hatemongers. I'd very much enjoy a black, gay man getting a spot over them. Will never happen "Never say never in the WWE!"

"Never say never in the WWE!" I would suggest it safe to say that all 3 of those mentioned will get another figure before Young does

I'm sure Mattel saw how fast those Hall of Fame figs flew off the shelves, so they looked into putting more retro guys in regular lineups. I'm fine with it.
I think the only guys it might have hurt getting elites are guys that would have shelf-warmed in the first place.
I'm sure we will see 4 current guys in a set soon since so many NXT guys are now getting due for elites.

I'm not sure what your problem with me is that you feel the need to argue with me in every thread. Just cause I don't like Warrior?

I feel for the current fans but it makes sense
Flashbacks are from eras when the wwe had all time high ratings Current wrestling has hit lows of 2 m - 3 m watchers. Makes sense that people would rather buy a figure of macho man over the miz
Look at how many of the big name stars the wwe has now that shelf warm or have shelf warmed. Alberto. Henry. Sheamus. Rey
Its wwes fault for not being able to put on a good show and make interesting characters

Who would want Darren Young over say someone like Warrior, Hogan or Macho Man? I'd take Darren Young over any one of those guys. Two of them are racist hatemongers. Would you enjoy Darren Young over him as well for that remark?

I understand, but my interest in the current product pales in comparison to my nostalgia, I know back when I was collecting Classic Superstars, I had no idea who the current wrestlers were(besides the lifers). Mattel is kind of a different beast though, even a Ted Dibiase Jr., Heath Slater, Cody Rhodes, R Truth, or Yoshi Tatsu is worth buying because you might miss a quintessential accessory or attire.

As a matter of fact, I would prefer a Darren Young over another Booker T since I already have one of him. I'm not sure why it's always the classic fans who can't let anybody like what they want. Earlier in this thread, I laid out my proposal: 8 figures per wave, 3-4 Flashbacks, 3-4 Modern, 1-2 NXT. It's simple and satisfies everybody. But apparently if every set isn't Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, Sting, and HBK, that's upsetting to some people.

I see both sides of this...
Id rather have sseth rollins or dean ambrose over warrior or jyd or earthquake or ddp
Id rather have xpac or dlo brown than miz or cena or barrett.
It all comes down to who it is

It sounds like you are implying that because Darren Young is a black gay man, that he is automatically void of any character flaws and should be placed on a pedestal above the other people you mentioned. You know, the “hatemongers.” One of those guys said he was sorry. Where is your forgiveness for that guy? Are we too high and mighty to forgive those that have made mistakes? LOL. As far as figures go, I don't think there is anything wrong with your proposal. You were making decisions about specific figures based on your perception of their character, and then posting them here on a public message board. Of course there would be a response to that.

Legends need their own line so the elite series can stay current like it used to be.

Legends need their own line so the elite series can stay current like it used to be. Ya know, I've thought about that before as well. I figured one of the reasons the first Mattel Legends line wasn't as successful as it could have been is because it wasn't too long after the Jakks line with extensive amounts of Legends. I wonder how it would have done later, or now?

I remember being overwhelmed at times with the Jakks line. I didn't always feel like I could keep up that fast lol.

If there's two lines there'd be an overwhelming amount of Darren Young figures
