I think a better debate might be the choice of current roster guys that we've been getting lately... I mean, do we really need another (fifth?) Elite Ziggler, a THIRD Elite Sandow (clogging shelves everywhere), a billionth Cena, a fourth Dean Ambrose and a new "love handles" Ryback (...that's already outdated, lol)? Personally, I'd much rather have had a new/first-time Elite than ANY of those guys... :-/

All of these should take precedence over all FB's not named Undertaker, HBK, Savage, Warrior, & JERICHO, because they should be presenting their current roster first, and then putting in Legends.

Hmmm... I don't think the ones in bold need updating or should take precedence: we've already had 3 Elite Bray Wyatts, 2 Luke Harpers and Rowan hasn't changed AT ALL, lol. Same for Jericho... he's pretty much the same (minus a tattoo?) as his last Elite. And Cesaro's last Elite rotted on the shelves forever (even with the awesome Andre The Giant trophy)... I'd rather have a new guy (or Flashback) than any of those.

I didn't think of this the other day when I posted, but I positively do love Flashbacks, I feel I have to stress that again and again, but.....

The OP isn't exactlt wrong and I had completely forgotten about how we never got Elite Rhodes Scholars because of a lack of slots. One of the best headscans ever made of Cody Rhodes never made it to an elite which could've been an all-time favorite for me.

I wish the Flashbacks were a second line and I wish the market could sustain them, but I'm afraid it wouldn't. Also, we are obliged due to kids and casual fans that outnumber us to have a Cena in every few sets which further deducts from the current roster slots.

The formula they are doing now is ok, because the window for getting a Flashback out could be smaller as we've seen deals expire or situations like Hogan's so they gotta crank those out while they can. But as far as current roster goes they should put a priority on first timers over repaints.

It takes roughly a year to get a figure to market. So if you're complaining about not having something that happened inside the last year, like that is somehow a figure you're not getting because of a Flashback figure, your complaints are completely unwarranted. Lots of the guys people are complaining about like Neville, New Day, and Owens, we're going to have very shortly. The Dudleyz came back full time at the end of August. AJ Styles? Yeah, that happened two weeks ago. Those are going to take time.

What elite line was it that had Flashbacks of JBL, Randy Savage, Undertaker and Triple H in it?? Elite 23 I believe it was.

So complaining about Elite lines having three flashbacks in a set when Elite 23 had four flashbacks in that one set seems a bit much.
