Why is it so expensive though? The 40th series retails in TRU for £25 - so it means you're paying 20 quid for a display stand. What's it made of anyway?

Its 40 bucks in America. 31 quid ...typical - we always seem to pay more/be screwed over on prices here though. Why is it so expensive though? The 40th series retails in TRU for £25 - so it means you're paying 20 quid for a display stand. What's it made of anyway? It's basically just a plastic base with a thick card background... it's pretty big though - and all comes in a nice display box. I think it's worth it for an extra £20, but I suppose it's up to the individual.

Bought Qui Gon Jinn and Lando from FP in London!
Got such a shock and did an internal markout when I saw them.

Bought the new 6" Luke, Rey, Kylo Ren, Thrawn, Hera for £24.99 at TRU Oldbury - and the TRU exclusive Comm. Gree at £27.99 (...a bit pricey, but it's a cool figure). They also had lots of Darth Vader and Stormtrooper, but I'm pretty sure they're straight re-packs.

I passed up on Comm Gree for now but will likely pick it up more toward the films release.

I was near the back of the queue, but still managed to get everything I wanted (aside from the 3 3/4" Luke... I knew he wouldn't last, lol).

The storm trooper is a repack but the Vader is the new rogue one / a new hope release that has only been sold as a part of the 40th anniversary collection with the big display stand!

I really like these figures! Does anyone have any recommendations for the best place to find the earlier Waves of these? Also, is TRU, Smyths etc the best place to get the current Wave or are there better alternatives online? I've had a brief search, which shows a few places.
Many thanks in advance.

I think TRU is the only main retailer to have the new Last Jedi wave. Asda only just got the main Rogue One guys in and everywhere else is unreliable. Except Forbidden Planet which is usually up to date (ish) but a bit pricier. As for older waves Forbidden Planet has had some older stuff in like Vader and Luke (Return of the Jedi attire.) eBay is probably the only place to get harder to find stuff but it can get expensive (I paid about £40 each for Yoda and Palpatine and £57 for Boba Fett a year or two ago.) While I'm here, I bought a Chewbacca soft toy from the Disney store for my nephew for his first birthday this week. It's about as tall as he is. I'm gonna be making sure he gets into Star Wars. I spied three Last Jedi posters behind the tills (Leia, Kylo, Finn) and they turned out to be free so I got those for myself. Disappointed they didn't have Rey or Luke. Maybe other stores will have them.

I went to the Disney Store in Sunderland since I was in the area and I caved for the Elite Rey. They had Rey posters there along with Luke and Poe. I was only given a Rey poster the stingey sods lol.

I'm sure your nephew will look back with gratitude, when he's older, at the pictures of him with his 'life sized' Chewbacca! Good stuff. Congrats on the free posters, too!

Dammit, I'm not going to Sunderland for them. Well, only if I absolutely must. Gonna check the one in Newcastle first this week to see if they have them. I would love to have the full set.

I must've had a better server because she gave me two of each one (three are for my mother since she can't really get down to Sunderland.) Gonna find frames for all six posters soon.

Eventually got around to going to IKEA and found frames for my posters. They're a little bigger than I'd like but for some bizarre reason it's almost impossible to find frames that will actually accommodate an A3 sized poster. They're all either slightly too big or slightly too small. Also picked up a Rey bobble head Pop Vinyl from HMV as it was down to 5.99. The one based on her final scene in Force Awakens, holding out the lightsabre.
