I was happy when he got the Pink Slip. And then he came back as Odarg... I was beyond happy when he got fired. I'm all for new superstars, but there is nothing absolutely interesting about him. The character is God awful and needs to go back to whatever local English show he came from. Absolutely a waste of tv time. |

In ICW he's like the guy who people see as themselves. Not the best shape, looks kinda funny. In TNA he's a bumbling foreigner.

Grado is good, but Odarg is great. Best Indian wrestler I've ever seen.

I totally agree with the Discount Colt Cabana comment. Like that hits the nail right on the head imo. I think once you kind of understand that, he's much easier to tolerate. I said this in the weekly thread but he walks the finest line between terrible and hilarious, but TNA continues to keep him just a hair towards the hilarious side imo.
I think what a lot of fans don't like about Grado, and to a lesser extent Cabana, is that they remind you that wrestling doesn't need to be taken seriously all of the time, which is pretty counter culture to how the IWC views wrestling as a whole. It's why so many people hated Santino. I'll agree that Grado is a ball of goop to look at but it's not like he's unskilled. Could I take him or leave him? Yes, absolutely, but I do think there is a place for his act within the world of pro wrestling.
Eli Drake sucks.
