Been in such a funk last few weeks. Dread going to the gym. Wake up later than usual. Zero ambition.Been involved in fitness for over 10 years and lately Im just not feeling it. Maybe I just needed a break but hopefully it doesnt linger too much longer. Try and motivate yourself. Maybe you should try a different type of weight training. If you have been doing say bodybuilding for 10 years then give that up and do cross fit classes instead.

I've lost 24 pounds so far since I started diet in September. I've been going the gym every other day too.

Still dieting and exercising and I'm 32 pounds lighter than I was in September. That's incredible. Are you doing cardio? lifting weights? both? or something else? It's all about commitment, aint it. I'm starting to work out again starting today. Will start with dumbell curls and hammer curls. I'm going to start yoga too, really wanted to try it, looks awesome.

Diet wise I eat a lot of healthy fats. Avocado, nuts and I cook food in olive oil. I don't do cardio as I find it makes me too hungry and I end up breaking my diet. At the moment the only exercise I do is weight lifting. Incline bench, Shoulder press, Pull ups and deadlifts. I find Mike Chang's old videos to be helpful. All you have to do is eat clean and train hard.

I'm gonna start eating avocados like you too. That's impressive to lose that much weight with just diet and weight lifting and no cardio.

Bought some yesterday and had one with my salmon sandwhich in the morning. I have to cut out biscuits. I had two sneaky ginger biscuits this morning. They are my weakness lol.

But don't have them laying about in the cupboard. If you get peckish you can snack on fruit, handful of nuts( almonds and walnuts are best) or almond butter sandwich (brown bread with almond butter which is similar to peanut butter). Also a big thing is that although measuring yourself on scale is good that isn't the only way to measure progress. Clothes feeling looser, looking at yourself in mirror and pinching love handles are other good ways. That means you won't get depressed if say you get heavier on scales one day. Hope this helps.

alanpartridge, I got the almond butter yesterday, really nice, I'm eating that now with some bread rather than biscuits. I've been doing some calf, hamstring and ITB stretches and am increasing in flexibility. Gonna finally add my dumbell curls to my workout again tonight too.

Ordered Peleton bike and getting delivered this Thursday.
I know it's very expensive but it seems to have an answer for every question or excuse I ever gave for not exercising in the past.
Very much looking forward to it and hoping to get into a good routine. Plenty of choice for anyone to go over with the bike.

I was eating around 50 slices of bread a week without realising, so instead of having toast every morning for breakfast now I have fat free greek yogurt and honey. I didn't need to lose weight but I have dropped a couple lbs and I generally feel less bloated.

I've started eating it again though and feel bloated again. Its crazy how much of an effect it has on your stomach.

Maybe you should have smaller portions of rice/bread and increase portions of meat and vegetables.

Alright, it's time to admit I got fat. Need to lose 30 pounds but it's tough to do when all you can afford are crappy ramen noodles.
Going to cut all the sugars at least. No more orange juice, milk, soda, etc. More vegs and fruit for smoothies. Pre cook and freeze meals so theyre ready to heat and eat
Problem is staying motivated, I dont have anyone in my life to look good for unfortunately haha
