Going on week 7 of regularly working out. I haven't drastically changed my diet either because I do have a fast metabolism and am on the skinnier side but I have cut out a lot of bad shit. Mainly ice cream and junk food. I still eat fast food a couple of times a week but nothing over the top.

Ran a 1h 38m 48s half marathon this morning. Absolutely smashed my previous personal best by nearly 4mins, buzzing!

Back on the weight loss wagon. I feel like I say "back on" a lot more frequently these days, but such is life. Primary attack is diet. I'm extremely limited with what I can do for workouts just based on the windows of time I have. Spent an hour on the treadmill yesterday walking at a decent clip on an incline. We'll see if I can find my DDP Yoga DVDs tonight when I get home.
'bout to see how far into the afternoon that 340 calorie lunch I just ate takes me.

I'm in my thirties and never worked out! there’s no way to target specific groups of fat, so ya just gotta do some cardio and tighten everything up. you must just genetically be prone to gut fat for your fat distribution which is very common.

Can you good examples of cardio? My dad told me to cut out the fast food but I love KFC LOL!

I did a lot of cardio years ago when I had my fitness for life class in college. I lost a lot of weight that way. I mainly rode the stationary bike. I need to loose the weight again though

My dad told me to cut out the fast food but I love KFC LOL! you don't have to totally cut out the kfc, but cutting it down if it's resulting in weight gain is definitely a good idea. stairs, walking, biking are all great cardio. even jiu jitsu, other martial arts, yoga...anything that gets that heart rate up.

I need to workout! I have a gut coming and I don't like it! I'm up to 185 now. How do you work out gut? I'm in my thirties and never worked out! If your primary target is weight loss, your two primary keys are diet and exercise, plain and simple. Everyone's body type is going to vary, and everyone's metabolism is going to behave different, but just speaking from experience, it is possible to enjoy the things you love while still maintaining a healthy intake. In 2012, I lost 60 pounds in just under 6 months on a diet of roughly 2000 calories a day and semi-regular cardio workouts. I was working at a mall, and so my diet routinely consisted of Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, McDonald's, Taco Bell and Subway. It's all about making the proper choices at those places and aligning your meal intake with your daily target so that you're not depriving yourself at any point throughout the day. Weighed myself this morning. 238. FACK. Not where I want to be, but considering how long I've been off the wagon, gaining back 8 pounds amid whatever progress I had made prior could be a lot worse.

The shoulder press is my favourite exercise at the moment. Since I have been doing it my lats have gone bigger.

Started exercising my hips more. Been using the resistance bands to do side steps and been on the abduction/adduction machines. It's made a noticeable difference to my running in the last few weeks.

i have a bad habit of working out 2 days in a row at a good level, but then being too burnt out on the third day and needing to rest before starting it over again. it doesn’t sound like a terrible system, but then you realize you’re missing 1/3 of your potential workout opportunities. so I’m working on that. reducing workouts slightly those other days to have energy for the third, and also just forcing myself to do it to build the stamina.
also, wide grip pull-ups are my enemy and a pride killer haha. considering two of my strongest areas at the gym are rows and lat pulldowns, you can imagine how unimpressed I was when I realized I couldn’t do more than 5 pull-ups at a given time. so I’m going to buy a proper bar for at home, and start doing them every other day to build the form.

Changed my workout routine up. Doing hour cardio every day and sets of push ups, pull ups and dips.

okay, it’s go time. summer is just around the corner! forcing myself back on the horse today because it’s going to be a personal disaster if i don’t put the time in haha. that near-30 metabolism is really taking some adjustment.
the benefit of it? easier gains of strength due to energy reservation. but I still gotta shed it.
starting with back today.

Worked out again last night for the first time in a little over a week. I fall off too easy and could feel myself making excuses so I’m gonna try and avoid going that long without it again. Working out has been really good for my mental health and without it I was feeling more prone to anxiety and being irritable.

I hear ya! it’s crazy the reasons we’ll make up to justify from having to workout again when there’s usually no excuse! i killed back yesterday! ate pizza later though but oh well. shoulders today! hopefully this long weekend doesn’t derail me too much.

I gave up eating Pizza for lent, and still haven't had any. I've been eating granola bars, fruits, raisins, hummus, wheat bread, grilled chicken salad regular and ceaser, 8 bottles of water a day, protein shakes. 3 times a week I'll have regular dinners with plenty of vegetables. I'm cutting back on sugar in my coffee as I drink it black,
