Hope you guys have been well. you too buddy! sounds like you've been killing it and have grown a ton mentally in the gym as of late. you nailed it, aesthetics and strength are two different things, and if you're going to totally focus on one you'll be in some way damaging the other, so finding that balance is the right approach with my back injury, I know that I'm never going to be the absolute strongest in the gym and that was never my intent. my two things are: increase longevity and function of my lower back through strength, but also to be as aesthetic as possible. so I train bodybuilder style for hypertrophy. I think you want to both be really strong and also aesthetic, and you're figuring out that balance I have friends who are naturally leaner than me, more vascular, etc. despite whatever their or my diet currently is. even at lower body fats (>10) I'm still not insanely vascular. it's genetics, and the reason you should only really compete with yourself. I hope you keep it up, that type of hard work leads to results.

And definitely we should always measure ourselves genetics are critical, ill always be more boxy wide and filled in its just my build and I think I’m okay with that now I’m sorry about your injury man what happened? But you sound like you’re thriving as well and improving and that’s the sh*t we like to hear

After realising I’ve been paying for Apple Fitness for nearly six months, I finally decided to give it a go last week.
It’s meh.
The workouts are far too easy with no difficulty filter. I stuck to the core, strength and high intensity interval workouts. It would take two, three, maybe even four separate workouts to hit the 500+ calorie mark, which I can do in a single DDP Yoga workout.
The exercises are time counted rather than rep counted. You usually get around 45 seconds to do as much reps as you feel comfortable doing rather than a set amount, which resulted in me doing different amounts on each side. The instructor isn’t counting either except maybe the last two, which if you’re doing an exercise where you can’t look at the screen, is a pain in the ass.
The HIIT workouts were a little bit harder because I wasn’t used to that type of workout. Not gonna lie, my legs were like sawdust afterwards and I collapsed twice and had to mentally prepare myself to stand back up again.
Apart from that little hiccup, I wouldn’t recommend Apple Fitness as a primary fitness source unless you don’t mind stacking several workouts in order to equal one good one.

So I cycled with creatine HCl I’ve had some really bad experiences with monohydrate And I’ve given creatine monohydrate multiple shots I believe I’ve had about five cycles; between early 2019 and last summer My primary issue is one actually feel like crapand two I bloat like I’m pregnant in my stomach area but my arms fill out pretty nice however my arms are already pretty big to begin with And I somewhat feel like it slows me down or at least makes my stamina little worse
But I saw creatine HCl and I wanted to try it so I got to my pre-jym Pre-workout That’s infused with BCAS Creatine and some other stuff
I believe am on week two i’m not as bloated but I’m still pretty bloated I feel bubbling in my stomach when I take it And honestly I’ve seen the best results with creatine with skinnier guys They just fill out and don’t really bloat
I did do some research but some people do you have like a intolerance And I have a feeling I meet the criteria And or it doesn’t go great with my physique/body type to begin with

so, hoping I just pulled my right lat and didn't outright tear it currently. did back three days ago, pain appeared yesterday, which is kinda strange as I'd did legs the day the pain occurred.
it's brutal right now. can't lay down properly, can't turn my neck. hoping it alleviates within next few days.

Back in April I had a really bad weekend of allergies and I didn't eat at all. Every since then I have only been eating like once a day because I don't feel like eating I guess. In April I was 207lbs. Now I'm 190lbs. I hate this because my goal was 225lbs before the end of the year, now that's f*cking ruined. TL;DR Big boy wants to get bigger but lost 20lbs in two months and is pissed.

You doing any better now dawg? yeah luckily I think it was just the worst muscle pull I've had in my life. that's what I get diving back into the heavy weights without properly adjusting the workout loads. thanks for the concern!

Last Tuesday I popped my back out real bad and it pinched a nerve, I was doing deadlifts and I was chuckling at a joke and then boom. My back is still a bit sore but I got my spine back in and I'm good. Happy to hear you're doing better.

Update: Ive been using 5 pound weights as thats all i have currently and I see a little bit of a diff not much tho still flabby arms lol I'm down to 225 pounds, so down 80 pounds since July. I will continue the push up life and try to do more as I have been slacking. Another update in a month or so. Thanks That's awesome progress bro! Be proud of that; f*** yeah! I've been doing pushups and started running, I'm down to 184 pounds. I still have the flabby under the arms and some in the belly as well, but still continuing to work out. I may have lost too much weight too fast honestly, but more important at this point is my health, which as all normal, so I'm proud of that. Thanks for the words of encouragement when I needed it. My goal is to get to 170, so I'm only about 14 pounds from that goal, down from 305 In August of 2020. I had to lock in hence my absence for the past couple of months, but I've been taking it a bit easy since 4th of July and trying to enjoy myself before refocusing on the final push. I can do about 20-25 pushups now up from about 2-3 a few months ago lol. Still cant do a pullup, but havent worked on it like I should. I will refocus on that as well. Love all you guys, anything is possible if your willing to put the work in. Blessings to all of you.

I honestly dont keep track, I know I probably should. Ive been more hungry since going to the gym, so Ive been eating more chicken lately. I would order these chicken sticks and eat 12 of them, or eat a whole rotisserie chicken, or a chicken terriyaki extra chicken from sarku, along with spring mix and red onions (i love red onions now idk why) I also eat a peanut butter sandwich for a late night snack [just 100% peanuts as the ingredient) I dont like cooking chicken, all my other meals are home cooked, steak, london broil, ground beef, and Id eat about a pound of that. My blood pressure, cholesterol, etc is all normal levels my doctor said, which is cool. [I've been doing keto]

I went to the doctor today and I got weighed. I lost 2 pounds. I guess I lost the weight from working again. Plus my new job is very physically demanding
