I've been dieting for a full year now. Lost 4 stone in the first 6 months and been maintaining that weight since.
Been in the gym since January, trying to gain muscle. It's a long slow process, but I'm enjoying it. Been going 5 days a week for the last month.

At the beginning of January, I also said that I would have a much healthier and more active lifestyle. It just didn't work that way; although I set out to do it, I didn't start. I went to the gym two months ago, and it was damn hard; I wanted to give up. But I didn't do it because I'm aware that if I don't do this for myself, for my health, no one will. I want to be proud of what I have achieved when I will get to my smart body weight scale. So, I started this journey already, and I won't give up easily!

Only drink coffee and water now. Been on a bulk for most of this year and gained 8lbs. Do light weights 4 sets of 10 reps.

Man 3 bot accounts in a row lol.
To keep this relevant when they all get cleared, the running deck on my treadmill broke, so that's kind of annoying. Wood is expensive so it isn't the cheapest fix. Same grade of wood that I used to make an olympic lifting platform cost me 180% as much for a 4x8 sheet as it did when I built the platform 5 years ago. Ouch.. We've cut the piece to size now just need to put a coating on it to protect it from the belt and drill the holes to screw it back in. Oh well, still cheaper than a new treadmill.

I really don't believe much in working out. Heath, yes. Working out... I feel like we should do more things that require us to push our bodies to the limit, even if it's an inconvenience in another way. For example: biking a mile to the 7-11 or Walgreens instead of taking a car there. It's good exercise and you wouldn't be surprised what it can do for you if you do it enough. I can't think of what else is doing it for me, but at age 33, I am having a full-body metamorphis. I was fat in my early teens. 14-17 maybe. Lost a ton of weight around there. It was related to puberty and medication that wasn't working. Anyway, from there I did try to get into working out but even after working my way up to 20-25lb free weights and being able to bench press a decent amount (for my size and limits), I was not gaining any muscle. I really stopped working out entirely outside of organized baseball for a bit in there. I've recently begun biking again, and the bike is fit perfectly for me and my forearms flex when I hold the handlebars, making a tense muscle as I grip them. While I pedal, my legs get work. From the position I am in by default, my abs seem to get a workout. I rid 1-4 miles on average every day. depending on what I do, and sometimes more. I cannot think of anything else that has changed. I am eating less fast food (or basically none) but my metabolism has always been fast; losing weight these days is not a problem. I fit my BMI and had just accepted I was really skinny, not toned, and had to wear multiple layers if it was cold enough to just look a little bit more what I thought I should. I also have ARFID, an eating disorder, but do force myself to eat or get down nutrients and calories even if it kills me. In a nutshell, this is a photo from 2014-2015ish.... I would have been 25 approximately. If you notice. my arm basically looks like a frail pin cushion (and it probably was back than): Flash forward to right now, just over the last 2 months probably. I have gained more muscle mass than I thought possible...at age 33 (well, it started at 32; I just turned 33): really don't believe much in working out. Heath, yes. Working out... It's my calves, abs, and pretty much anything with a muscle on my body. It's not even that they're big--because they aren't...but I have an athletic build and have always had a solid frame. The muscle growth is what astonishes me. I still am not entirely sure what has prompted it, but biking and slightly better diet is the only change in my life. It's kind of crazy. I have the beach body I have wanted my entire life. I would usually never post in this, but I thought some people might find this fascinating. I basically went form flat cornbread to AMX Ed Norton overnight. In closing... you don't have to even try if your genetics are good enough, I guess. It's not just my arms. That's 6 weeks I've been on a diet and that's a stone lost! My goal weight for the end of the year was 13 stone 11/193 pounds as that was what I weighed 4 years ago according to a Facebook Memory so I wanted to get back to that. I'm currently at 197 pounds so only 4 to go! Trying after that to get to 180 and I'll be happy but that's next years goal weight. I feel I could do it as I'm feeling so good and so healthy with my diet and exercise routine right now that it's very achievable by the middle of next year.

big chest day today, heading into gym now - I’ve been watching a guy who’s into biophysics on IG and applied some of his suggestions to different exercises and it’s really helped isolate the proper muscle that is being focused on. can find him under ben_yanes for anyone interested.

Took a while, but settled in a very sustainable rhythm. After nearly a full year without touching a weight healing up some injuries, etc, been able to get back into it again. Got myself into a nice rotation:
M-Incline bench, deadlifts, 10 more sets of back exercises T-threshold run W-rest R-military press, squats, 6 more back sets 3 more shoulder sets F-recovery run S-Olympic lifting and 10-12 sets of arms Su-long run
Mix in about 5-6 rounds of disc golf and daily walks with the dogs in there.
It's nice how much of a boost getting the lifting back into that routine instead of just five runs a week has given me on the mental health front. I enjoyed the extra runs but it's nice to have the weights outlet too. Will have to get the heavy bag back in there once I get the garage a bit more cleared up its just inaccessible right now.

This is about fourth month I'm on a diet. Can't say it's strict but I try to eat healthy and exercise regularly.

High fat, low carbs helped me lose a lot of weight. I was never fat but it worked a lot more for me. Also canning stocks and passata guarantees that I always have cooking staples ready without having to pay $18 for stocks that I can make better (stocks are similar to broths but a lot of people don't know the difference) or paying $6 for a quart of Italian passata. American passata isn't as good and isn't really a base. It isn't passata if anything is added to it. Italian law makes that so as well

I finally started working on my body. I used to go to the gym but often missed it, especially when felt tired (or whatever reasons I found). I ended up addressing thane direct usa customer service for more info and buying one of their orbitreks. Since I have it at home, there are no more excuses. I train every second day. Also, I'm on a Keto diet right now. I've already lost a few pounds, but I understand that there is a long road ahead.

Got a NordicTrack treadmill with iFit in August and been hitting it pretty hard. 115 workouts in. I jump around the programs but have finished a few. A personal goal is to always get to 1000 calories and 10k steps during a workout, usually takes 90-120 minutes. I'm not into heavy lifting or anything because that seems to really set off my vertigo.

been very consistent with gym and diet now for a few weeks, getting back into the old lifestyle and so far so good.
currently doing a small trim up cut before looking to do a bulk. pulled the exercise bike out, upped my steps per day, cut the carbs back a tad and already seeing proper results.
