Damn...sucks he couldn't go out on his own terms. Imo he shouldn't of took those powerbombs in the 1st place. I think Sting went into that match to prove he could hang with the young guys despite his age. He was doing great until he got knocked silly. Class act really does best describe Sting, absolutely great human being.

Awful news.
Still, hell of a career. Just a huge bummer of an ending. One of the all time greats. Can't take that away from him.

Seth Rollins should declare himself the man who ended Sting when he returns. It would fit his heel character.

Not only did Sting say he himself was at fault, but also that Seth was the greatest worker he has dealt with. I assumed the latter is exaggerated, but I doubt Sting would have put him over that much if Seth was at fault. That's just how much of a classy guy Sting is. Then explain to me how it was Rollins's fault. Rollins has used the Turnbuckle Powerbomb as a staple of his moveset for the majority of his career, a career that includes at least 1069 matches. Sting is the only person to get injured by the move, but Rollins is at fault? Go back and watch the match, Rollins preformed the move like he always has. That was Sting's third match in 20 months. Think about it.

He's definitely going to receive massive face pops. Seth is a natural heel. If he gets a face pop he needs to immediately shoot down the audience.
They could even bring him back by screwing Ambrose out of the title as the refs about to count 3. He would receive heat for that.

Rollins is an internet darling so fans will obviously forgive him and pass it as an accident.
I myself don't blame Rollins but when it comes to wrestling accidents happen, it's a dangerous sport so no one should be blamed if someone gets injured in the ring.

Think about it. Owen Hart performed a tombstone many times too. It only took one to injure Austin. Rollins ing threw Sting at the turnbuckle, there's absolutely no way Sting can land well if he was thrown to land awkwardly, which he was. Freak accidents happen, but the blame of the move not coming off as it should have are 100% on Rollins.

Rollins does the Turnbuckle Powerbomb in nearly every match. Did you rewatch the match? It was preformed the same way it always has. The move is literally throwing the opponent into the Turnbuckle out of a Powerbomb position. The first time, Sting had trouble getting himself all the way into position, Once he was arched over Rollins's head, Rollins sent him Sting into the Turnbuckle, but Sting didn't tuck his chin and landed right on his neck instead of his shoulders. Sting then agree to take the move a second time, this time taken from the top of the opposite corner. He again was arched over Rollins's head, but forgot to tuck in his chin, again. Why would Sting take it a second time in the same match if it was Rollins's fault?

I kinda knew he was done after his NOC match. It sucks that his WWE run was crappy compared to his time in WCW

I guess it's too much to ask for people to take this time to appreciate Sting's career. No not on Wfigs, we'll turn Sting's retirement into an argument instead.
