Who has already seen this magnificent 8 episode gem on Netflix?
My buddy texted me and said this show had me written all over and I had to watch it. I started watching it yesterday around noon, and ended up watching it straight through to the end. It's like Spielberg meets Stephen King, meets Silent Hill. And the music is absolutely amazing. Goonies, Super 8, IT, The Mist, The Thing, ET... it feels like this amazing amalgamation of all of these awesome movies spread out over 8 episodes. It's homage done right imo.
I highly recommend everyone watch this show. Especially if you're in your 30s or older, or just a lover of 80s films. The 80s setting is fantastic and everything was done with care.

I'll be 25 in about a month, but I'll definatley check it out! Been looking for something new to watch on Netflix for a while now. It's not age restrictive. There are just a ton of elements from the 80s wrapped into the show that work as nods and nuances that really give a wink to 80s kids. I really think anyone can love this show. It's a really fun ride.

I've seen it, but haven't checked it out yet. I'm sure I will one day that I have an entire day with nothing to do, and I'll just binge it haha

I've seen ads for it and it seems like something I'd be into.

Got through the first 4 episodes.
Had it not been for the WWE draft tonight I'd have kept going.
It's incredible. A true love letter to the 80's. I'll definitely be researching the whole series multiple times.

I'm on the fifth episode. I must say, it's pretty rad. I really like the chief of police. He's old school and is incredibly quick to punch someone in the face lol. He's a badass.
The only problem I have so far is the black kid. And before anyone jumps down my throat , it's not a race thing. Its just the way he's written. He's just been a little bitch the past five episodes.
But this show is awesome if you're into Stephen King, "The Goonies ", "ET", and "The X Files".
Idk how it ends just yet but I'm already hoping for a second season.

He kind of irons himself out towards the end, but I had a bit of the same issue. I was like "why is this kid so pissy?" I just chalk it up to the kids needing inner turmoil within the group as a plot point. The group movies seem to always have a " you guys, this is a terrible idea" character. That was what Lucas brought to the table in the early episodes, it seems.

That was what Lucas brought to the table in the early episodes, it seems. That's good because I want to like all the kids on there. At this point in episode 5, I just ain't feeling it. But nonetheless, it is a really cool show that, to me, kinda came out of nowhere.

I loved it. Netflix has been killing it for years now with original content.

Should have figured there was a personalize thread for Stranger Things. Great mini season with no filler episodes!
