Who is the idiot that chose to debut the paint on RAW? Really, such a dumb decision. Sure we've seen it in NXT, but for the fans that never seen NXT they should have seen it for the first time AT summerslam. They blew it.
"Demon King" is already overplayed thanks to Seth saying it 8 times every sentence.
Finn getting the upper hand on Raw and the fact that the intimidation factor was blown on Raw leads me to believe Seth is winning. If the Demon was kept off screen until Summerslam I would have guaranteed Finn winning.

when you think about it, the Demon entrances are on the Network, on WWE.com and youtube. is there really that large a fan base that both, has never seen it and will watch Summerslam?

The Demon King name sounds ridiculous, but I guess it's because they don't want 2 people with the exact same moniker, the other being Kane.

I really hope since he's the "Demon King" now, they can finally stop saying DEMONKANE because it almost sounds the exact same and to be honest both names blow.
Finn Balor should have the Demon nickname when he's doing that stuff, and Kane's nicknames can be the Big Red Machine and/or the Big Red Monster.

I think WWE's execution has been somewhat poor. It just seems like the Demon King is nothing more than Balor with body paint on and an over the top entrance that equals a huge marketing ploy for money. Its a FANTASTIC marketing strategy...dont get me wrong. Balor masks, face paint, arm bands...etc. All of that is money. But from a creative stand point it just seems its not be utilized.

"Demon King" is stupid.
They blew their wad having him come out on Raw. It should only be for special things, SS or WM.
Love the paint, but the other stuff makes him look like an idiot. He is wearing old freakin belts on his head along with crap found on kids toys and hats. And how he crawls around on the floor, Steph could turn him into a gay character that she wants.

Thinking about it though Kane and The Undertaker have been WWE's true Demons for 20 years so how can Finn Balor rock up out of nowhere and declare himself the Demon King? He needs to earn that title.

It's cool and it's corny. It's a perfect blend of the two infact, it'll sell merch. As I've seen in some of my casual viewer friends lately, upon first glance of the paint the thought Balor was cool as hell.
That's simply based on 3 people who don't regularly follow WWE who were very intrigued by it. That's a good sign I find.
The more hardcore fans like us, we are used to it. So we find it corny when it's put through the WWE Marketing Machine.

I like it. It's cool. But I like Balor just as much without it. The Demon paint may bring in new fans and kids will surely eat it up. I do wish he'd steal a page from Stardust/Cody and change up his move-set a lil when he is the Demon King. And maybe spit red mist out like Muta/Tajiri. I've always thought the Red Mist would suit Demon Balor, it would be a nice touch. I agree with the move set thing, he oughta follow up the mannerisms he was doing on RAW with something fresh out of the bag at SummerSlam. The Mist would be perfect.

Always room for critique, but I thought this was too soon to bring out. I know WWE wants to hype the Summerslam match, but I think it would have been worth it to have Finn just be his normal self, get himself awareness for the audience and casual fans, and then building up to the "demon" reveal at WrestleMania. By having him only be the Demon for PPV's, it devalues him as a person when he is not the "demon" (unless they plan for him to be the "demon" each night). WWE is so shortsided about these things that could have been something important and special.

I like supernatural or comic book gimmicks. Finn B alor is awesome with his demon king alter ego. Eventually guys like Kane and The undertaker will have to retire and it would be a bummer if they were the last of the supernatural gimmicks.
BTW, whatever happened to the Wyatts being able to steal powers?

Thought this would be interesting discussion. I like the whole "dark part of his character" but surely the moves should be different? Would like to see a more split personality He could at least have different moves for each personality. Good Lord his finish is bad. I would like this..... a little different move set for Finn and the Demon. It would make it a little more believable for Finn to have one set and a few different maybe more extreme type of moves for the Demon. Like said above, this would be a thing that could be used to help explain the difference in characters to some extent or the difference in mindset if they are going with same character just Demon a little more hype

I'm Meh on the paint. Changes nothing about the way he wrestles and his gimmick changes to Normal the next night. It's just kinda pointless.

I like it. Haven't had a character with a alter ego in a long time. Foley, Taker.... Hopefully he'll grow into a star that they were.

I've been over the paint since Brooklyn last year. i wouldn't have a problem with it if he acted different. maybe throw in a few different moves? have different finishers than when he doesn't have it? make me believe that it actually intimidates people. if you aren't going to do that just call him Finn Balor cause "demon king" isn't doing anything different.
