I don't even watch UFC, but I know a little about it. Rousey is kind of a jerk, but sad little people that hate her on the internet are WAY worse.

Fantastic boxing from Amanda tonight. I've been talking with my co-worker about this one and I predicted a Nunes retention. It's insane that Ronda even decided to stand and trade. Amanda was throwing some HEAVY leather, lots of weight behind those. I love it. Glad I made it home for this one.

Just... wow. I know there are a lot of Ronda haters, but I thought it was quite sad to see.

For my good mate SteveHulk - I don't hate Rousey...and am astonished at the amount of anti-Rousey memes and general hate for her no matter what she does... Did anyone see Ariel Helwani's tweet to Nunes? He said to her to 'forget about Rousey - she's gonna do movies and retire'. Bit ing blunt, eh? |

She called PVZ a "fair-weather bitch" all because she congratulated Holly Holm after Holly beat Rousey. |

Big fan of Rousey, but for the life of me why did she try to strike with Nunes that's not your wheelhouse. I think she probably wanted to show her toughness and wanted to win standing up.

^ It looked as though Ronda tried to go for the clinch a couple of times, but Nunes was having none of it. Kind of surprised they didn't have a "goodbye" moment for Goldberg... no mention of it being his last show at all.  |

Rush in with striking, get the clinch, take Nunes down with her judo, and try to get the armbar. Unfortunately, Nunes' striking stunned Ronda and she was a sitting duck once she felt Amanda's power. Funny how the streak of Women's Bantamweight Champions losing on their first defense since Holm took the title from Ronda ended with Nunes successfully defending against Ronda. Edit: I agree that Goldberg should have got a sendoff after the years that he's been with the UFC. I guess WME-IMG don't care about thanking him for his contributions. |

Just to one. My buddy was all over Ronda for this fight. Up until this week....so was I. But her body language and behavior was so uncharacteristic of the confident killer than Rondy used to be. She is completely broken akin to Tiger Woods following his "sex addict" incident with his wife. I've sung the praises of Cody Garbrandt for so damn long....tonight was nothing more than sweet personal vindication for myself. It was great to hear the Vegas crowd chanting for Cody and the bar I was at....place was going nuts for Cody. That fight was the only one that got people jumping up and down, high fiving and cheering. I figured most people wouldnt even know who Cody was tonight. Now the WORLD knows. |
