I think somewhere King Bálor (CM)™ is saying 'I told you so' to a bunch of people...! Just to one. My buddy was all over Ronda for this fight. Up until this week....so was I. But her body language and behavior was so uncharacteristic of the confident killer than Rondy used to be. She is completely broken akin to Tiger Woods following his "sex addict" incident with his wife. I've sung the praises of Cody Garbrandt for so damn long....tonight was nothing more than sweet personal vindication for myself. It was great to hear the Vegas crowd chanting for Cody and the bar I was at....place was going nuts for Cody. That fight was the only one that got people jumping up and down, high fiving and cheering. I figured most people wouldnt even know who Cody was tonight. Now the WORLD knows. Good man. Watching the post-fight presser now...Cody's up to bat right now. Cruz did his part standing up with sunnies on...I enjoyed that...

Cody hates TJ for what the lying and deception, not to mention how he turned his back on Urijah who made him.

I'll admit I doubted No Love and boy did he prove why I never will again. Such a well deserved win. And that main event, I knew Nunes would win, but I didn't think it would be a lopsided 48 second victory. Hell of a memorable last show for Goldberg to leave to.
My favorite fight this year was Wonderboy and Tyron. Can't wait for that rematch in 2017. Also very much looking forward to a Dillashaw/No Love fight for the title. 2017 is gonna be fun

Really disappointing that Rousey didn't show for the post-fight presser.

Well Ronda just put over Amanda Nunes and collected a paycheck. She's off to Hollywood. Ronda should put over Stephanie McMahon at Wrestlemania, but I dont think the WWE can match the $3 million + PPV points + Endorsements she got for that 48 second asswhooping.

Very happy for Cody. I thought he was something special, but I didn't know if he'd be able to fully handle the style Cruz has. I'm sure this isn't the last time we'll see those 2 match up either.
I'm in awe of Rondas sudden crash landing back to earth. We've seen dominant stars on the wrong end of a beating suddenly, or watched their aura slowly start to diminish over the course of a few rough fights. But with Ronda, she's smashed violently into a brick wall suddenly. Her losses haven't looked like simple unfortunate setbacks, or that her opposition is the next big thing either. She's simply looked like an incomplete rookie in these beatings.
I really do hope she immediately moves on from the sport if even a single bit of her isn't interested in fighting. Move on to Hollywood, consider wrestling, start a family, whatever. If those reports of her depression after the 1st loss are true, then I'd hate to see this girl keep doing this to herself out of pride.

I doubt she'll get over $3 million from WWE but if they really want her they can afford to pay her whatever she's asking.

He did try a few take downs and Cody prevented them and was able to quickly get away. I preached that Cody's speed is VERY deceptive and he showed just how much speed he had in there by avoiding Cruz. I think Cruz failed to play his game and instead attempted to stand with Cody. That, I was very shocked by. Cruz has no power these days. His best chance to win was to continue to stay patient and play to his strong suit and Cody's weakest part of his game. Get him down to the mat and lock in a submission, out grapple Cody. My favorite moment of the night.

BTW...I think tonight solidified Cody's nod for fighter of the year. I personally believe that either Conor for winning the second belt or Amanda Nunez for brutally KOing Meisha and Rhonda in the same year would be fighter of the year. But Cody did have a standout year as well. Looking forward to seeing what he does next. I think a fight between him and Dillashaw would be better than his fight with Cruz.

I've watched that Cody clip a couple dozen times at least on Instagram and Twitter. Good stuff.

I hope Ronda gets ed up again. Would be the best Christmas gift Amen to that! I've got Nunes and Garbrandt by KO/TKO, and Dillashaw by decision. Sucks about Mike Goldberg leaving. Stupid reasoning too, he's great. Luckily I got to meet him ringside before Rousey got her head kicked off. Damn I'm doing good with the underdog picks at the moment. Won $100 betting on 207 for Nunes, Cody and Dillashaw winning. I think I've rewatched Rousey vs Nunes about 10 times now.

She brutally knocked out the two previous faces of the women's division. Cody defiantly had more of a busy year but he failed to finish Cruz and he a few chances to where his ego prevented him from it I think. He wanted the red to stop it when he dropped him a couple times but he should have swarmed him and took him out.

He wanted the red to stop it when he dropped him a couple times but he should have swarmed him and took him out. I agree that Cody did not take advantage a few times, but he DOMINATED Cruz like NO ONE. Cruz was 22-1 before Cody. He had beaten the BEST of the Bantamweights. Cody also KOed Almeida who was 21-0 at the time. A TKO to Mizurgaki. He started the year unranked and finished as Champion. Not sure how you can have a more impressive year. Nunez was impressive. But she had 2 fights. And honestly, its not to take away from Nunez....but Rousey beat herself. She wasnt ready mentally and got destroyed. Would Nunez have beaten her if Ronda was ready? Maybe....maybe not. But Im not willing to put a lot of stock in her defeat of Rousey. Connor had an amazing year and because of who he is, he will get consideration. But as far as I am concerned, the loss to Diaz makes his year great..just not better than Cody's. I would be pretty surprised if Cody does not get fighter of the year.

What Bleacher MMA and countless other MMA sites must think I feel when it comes to 'articles' about Ronda Rousey I'm over it...reckon most are too.
