Heenan: I'm just glad it's over, that Ric Flair didn't get that title back and Hulk Hogan made sure he wouldn't. Gorilla: Speaking of Ric Flair he had this to say right after The Wrestling Classic went off the air: ___________________________________ Ric Flair Post-Wrestling Classic Interview: Gene: With me at this time was the finalist in the Undisputed WWF Championship tournament, in which Rowdy Roddy Piper successfully became the new WWF World Heavyweight Champion (Ric Flair walks in). Flair: Hulk Hogan don't even get me started! He can't be back no no he can't! It's not possible. I broke his legs! Gene: Well it looks like he has miraculously recovered from his injuries might I add it was dealt by you at Wrestlemania V. Flair: Wooo!! WWF Superstars of Wrestling June 24th, 1989 Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" Ventura
Piper's Pit with Rowdy Roddy Piper: Piper: (comes out to a huge pop with the WWF Championship belt) My goodness I never thought the day would come that I'd get a hold of this belt and call it mine ha, The Wrestling Classic III will be no doubt the greatest day in my life I mean I went in to make sure that that low-life Ric Flair wouldn't get a shot ha and look at me now I'm the Undisputed WWF Heavyweight Champion of the World (gets a pop)! Now I gotta start rethinking my life I mean there I was in hollywood filming movies and now I got to make a decision should I go back (fans chant no)? Ha I figured I shouldn't I mean sure I've had some good times ha but let's be honest it doesn't get any better than this! Incredible Hulk Hogan comes out to a mixed reactionPiper: Well who do we got here ha it's been a while hasn't it? Hogan: If you think for one minute that I did what I did at The Wrestling Classic was for you you're mistaken brother. Piper: Ha I never did ha Hogan: If the world thinks for a minute that I did, they're wrong because the only thing I wanted to do was make that guy Ric Flair suffer for all that he did to me. I was stripped from the title, that belt you hold in your hands is actually mine. I was bedridden for days and the only joy I found was from sponge baths from the nurses brother, but let's be honest he deserved it trying to take over my ring, trying to take over my spotlight (Bobby Heenan walks out) Piper: What are you doing here? Heenan: I'm here because I want to make the announcement official, The Incredible Hulk Hogan is now part of the Heenan family (fans boo)! Piper: Wow Hulk Hogan ha I can remember it was what over two years ago when you were crying about how Andre joined with the weasal, ha I can remember how heartbroken you were and now this? Really Hogan you are with the likes of this guy who for years wanted you gone and even after you turn on your fans this is the guy who still hated you... Hogan: Shut your mouth Piper. Bobby Heenan is the greatest manager of all time. He's worked hard and long to rip apart Hulkamania and you gotta respect a guy like him. Heenan: That's right the Incredible One and I have never seen eye to eye, but we know we need each other more than ever if we're to rid of the cancer that is the Four Horsemen. But before we do that we're out here for one reason, tell him Hulkster. Hogan: I'm out here to challenge you Rowdy Roddy Piper for my World title brother... Piper: (shakes his head) ha you want to challenge me, ha you know I remember our battles and wars our alliances and you know it makes me wonder if I should've ever left in the first place ha I love hollywood (gets angry) but I was wrong ha I was wrong about everything about you about everything ha (takes off his shirt) You want a piece of me ha you want to fight me for the title well I say give it your best shot because I'll kick you (bleep) all the way to the ring right now right here let's go! Heenan: (grabs the mic) This is now how it's done, it's done with a contract and so let's settle it let's get a contract signing going for a match at SummerSlam for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Piper: You got it!!!! (fans cheer as Hogan and Heenan leave) Man I'm all fired up I'm ready for Hulk Hogan! Suddenly Hulk Hogan from behind gets a hold of Piper's painting and smashes it over Piper's back and spits on him. Hogan and Heenan leave laughing.

Brown gets a nerve hold in and Piper counters him with elbows and lands punches. Brown lands a headbutt again, but Piper gets fired up and rakes the eyes and lands rights and lefts with jabs as Brown is in a corner. Piper whips him, but Brown reverses it for a ghettoblaster. Brown starts taunting the fans and says it's all over he goes for the pin but Piper's foot was on the rope as the ref makes the pin. Brown starts celebrating thinking he won, but the ref tries to tell him he didn't. Piper is up and jumps at Brown landing chops and jabs and whipping him to the ropes for the sleeperhold finisher. Brown starts fading away struggling to get to the ropes to break the hold. Piper keeps it locked on and Brown is on his knees, but manages to finally get to a rope for the break, but Piper kicks his arm and tightens his hold for Brown to be knocked out cold. WWF Prime Time Wrestling July 17th, 1989 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanHeenan: Look at this floozy (Elizabeth), I mean give me a break. She had Hulk Hogan as a client, what a big loss that she joins up with the likes of a Nature Boy. Look at these photos my PI sent to me, look at the kind of scandal she's getting herself involved with being in a hot tub with a guy like Flair... Gorilla: Are you trying to get Randy Savage to explode? To get to Ric Flair? Heenan: Flair is a cancer in the WWF, him and his Four Henchmen goons. They need to go so....don't worry about it Monsoon. Gorilla: Well we do have this exclusive interview with Miss Elizabeth take a look. Exclusive interview with Miss Elizabeth and Vince McMahon:Vince: Thank you for having me Miss Elizabeth and we would like to clear out the confusion that has been going on. So I'm going to get down to it, are you now managing Ric Flair? Liz: People need to understand that Ric Flair has been nice to me, he saved me from Hulk Hogan, so I owe him that and now that Hulk Hogan is with Bobby Heenan, I'm now free to be Ric Flair's manager. He asked me and I accepted to be a co-manager with Mr. Dillon. Vince: But what about Randy Savage, I mean everyone knows the both of you have had a long relationship both in the ring and I must say outside of the ring. Liz: (shakes head) I know Randy you're watching at home, I will always care for you, and I beg you not to hurt Ric Flair. He has treated me well, invited me at his lovely mansion and this has nothing to do with you (gets emotional)...I...(gets a tissue to wipe a tear) Vince: It's okay it's alright. But I think Randy Savage wants to challenge Ric Flair at SummerSlam. If Ric Flair accepts, how will you cope or take sides in such a match? Liz: (has her hands over her mouth and brings them down) I don't know...I mean...yes I will be in Ric Flair's corner it's just...yes I will be I'm his manager and I will be there. Saturday Night's Main Event July 29th, 1989 Worcester Centrum, Massachusetts Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" Ventura Randy "Macho Man" Savage vs. Barry Windham (w/J.J Dillon) in Singles competition Windham walks out all with Dillon with Randy upnext. They lock up and Windham tries to overpower Savage, but Savage continues to counter his every move. Later in the match, the Nature Boy walks out to watch and gets to ringside. Randy goes for the elbow drop finisher, but Flair slips Randy as Randy lands on the turnbuckle. The referee tells Flair to leave as Windham is up and goes for a Superplex finisher. However Randy reverses it as Windham goes down for the pin. Winner: Randy "Macho Man" Savage via pinfall
Flair can't believe it and calls out the Brainbusters. The Four Horsemen are in the ring and they attack Randy. The Brainbusters get a hold of him as Flair and Windham land cheapshots. Elizabeth runs in and begs Flair to stop. Flair forcibly kisses Liz across the lips infront of Randy even though she doesn't want it as Randy struggles to get to Flair. Tunney: Alright gentlemen, we would like the contract here to be signed. Mr. Hulk Hogan as the challenger you may proceed first. Hogan: Before I sign I gotta say something. The world needs to recognize that I am the true Undisputed Champion of the World. I want to be called a champion when I enter that ring... Tunney: It doesn't work like this Mr. Hogan, we can however say Former World Heavyweight Champion. Hogan: Fine. Heenan: This is an outrage. Jack you're the one who stripped Hulk Hogan from the World title, we shouldn't even be sitting right here for this. Hulk Hogan won the World title fair and square at Wrestlemania V. Piper: (is laid back has his feet on the table) Why don't you two just shut up ha and sign the damn contract. Hogan: O ya brother you'd love that after all the battles and wars we've fought, it's time to send you back to hollywood where you really belong (signs it) Piper: It's about time I've got a date with Jodie Foster and Geena Davis ha. Let me look at the contract (signs it and tosses it into Hogan's face) Hogan: (gets up in anger) hey now you better watch yourself! Piper: (gets up) What are you going to do? Tunney: Gentlemen please leave it for the ring. Piper: Ha you know I've been coming down this cold (coughs and spits out into Hogan's face) Piper jumps over the table takes Hogan's shirt hockey style and brings it over his head and leaves in laughter.Heenan: What disrespect! SummerSlam '89: Feel the Heat August 28th, 1989 (Live on PPV) Meadowlands Arena, East Rutherford, NJ (20,000 sell out) Hosts: Tony Schiavone and Jesse "the Body" Ventura
PART 1 of 2Jesse: What a card we've got here tonight Tony, and I've got to say as much as I despise the Macho Man, I want to see Ric Flair put in his place tonight. Tony: No question about that and of course we've got titles on the line such as the WWF World Heavyweight Championship between Roddy Piper and the Incredible Hulk Hogan, and also the Tag Team Champions the Brainbusters will be taking on Demolition and don't forget about Barry Windham who is going for the Intercontinental Championship up against Jake Roberts. Jesse: I don't want a Four Horsemen takeover here, and I hope the Brainbusters lose that title soon enough. ______________________________________ Brutus Beefcake vs. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka in a Barber MatchHoward Finkel explains the rules that by pinfall, submission, countout or even disqualification, the loser must have their hair cut. Beefcake and Snuka get in the ring and they go at it. The match ends with Superfly going for the superfly splash finisher and missing it giving Beefcake the chances to land the sleeper hold and ending the match. Winner: Brutus Beefcake via submissionBrutus grabs his scissors and cuts Snuka's hair with the help of the referee in the middle of the ring. ______________________________________ The Ultimate Warrior vs. Rick Rude (w/Heenan) in a Steel Cage Match
The steel cage is set up. For a long time Bobby Heenan has been wanting to get rid of the Ultimate Warrior with their lengthy feud and Rude promises he will. Warrior does his usual flying shoulderblocks and clotheslines. Rude struggles to keep up with the Warrior as Warrior climbs up the cage only for Rude to land a german suplex from the top rope to a big pop. Fans weren't expecting that. Rude makes for the cage door, Warrior is up practically no selling as much as he could and he starts to pull Rude in. Warrior lands an elbow smash and goes for the cage door till Heenan smashes the door into Warrior's face for Rude to jump over Warrior's back to make the climb over. Warrior follows him and manages to pull his hair to get him back in, but Rude slips and falls for the win. Winner: Rick Rude via over the cage. Tony calls it a huge win as Heenan celebrates with Rude as Warrior is upset shaking the cages because of his loss. ______________________________________ Mean Gene interview with the Four Horsemen Gene: With me at this time are the Four Horsemen and their manager J.J Dillon though I don't see Elizabeth around. Ric: Wooo! Tonight history will be made when I pin the Macho Man for the one two three and they didn't tell you about what our contract signing was all about wooo!! Gene: Wait a minute what are you talking about? Rick: Wooo! If the Macho Man loses the match he could never have Elizabeth has his manager! Macho didn't bother to read Woo!!! Gene: This is upsetting no doubt and sad to say the least. After all the years she's been on the side of the Macho Man... Arn: Don't you worry about the Macho Man boy, the Demolition ha, they call them the greatest WWF tag team, well I say their just a bunch of yella belly clowns in face paint, they ain't got anything on us right Tully (Tully nods and laughs) Dillion: Tonight history is going to be made when Barry Windham, the fourth horsemen gets a hold of the WWF Intercontinental Championship belt and it'll just be one step to glory, one step to four title belts heck all we need after that is a King's crown (they all laugh). Gene: Well that match is up next here we go! ______________________________________ Ted Dibiase (w/Virgil & Sherri) vs. "Dragon King" Ricky Steamboat for the King's CrownHighlights of the feud and promos with Mean Gene happen before the match so that the cage could be taken off. Ricky Steamboat gets in the ring first followed by Ted Dibiase. Dibiase and Steamboat put on a good technical match with Dibiase getting the upperhand for most of the match. Late in the match Dibiase finally gets the Million Dollar Dream on Ricky and suddenly Bad News Brown shows up from the back. He runs in and starts to beat up both Ted Dibiase and Steamboat. Winner: No Contest
Virgil and Sherri run in and Bad News gets a mic telling Sherri to leave. Virgil is in the ring and tries to help Dibiase up. Brown: I can't believe this, I can't believe how the WWF has treated me and the black man, I'm sick of it. How many black men do you see around here or has a match, how many are going for championships (Jesse says that Akeem claims to be from Africa)? That's right professional wrestlers and promoters are afraid of what the black man has done to other sports out there like boxing and even now basketball, their afraid that if they give us more opportunities we'll dominate and take over. Like those idiots in the back called the Four Horsemen, they're more afraid of us. Virgil helps Dibiase up and confronts Brown. Brown: Look at Virgil, look at you man, look at how you've been treated by a white rich boy like Dibiase. You know it's true. How many matches have you had? You could be the best instead you acting all like a servant instead of a bodyguard. I've seen how you gave oil massages and how to bow down to that rich boy. They don't want us around man, they don't want us around boy. So do you duty for the black man, for all the black men who never made it from the Rocky Johnsons and Mr. USA, all of us who've been pushed back each time. I mean look you and I don't even have a match tonight. So do your duty, and show Mr. Dibiase what we're all about. Virgil looks away and starts to think. Dibiase gets on the mic. Dibiase: Why don't you just shut it! You cost me my crown! Suddenly Virgil attacks Dibiase and gets the Million Dollar Dream on him making him fall asleep quickly and both Virgil and Bad News Brown leave. ______________________________________ Andre the Giant & Jim Duggan vs. The Twin Towers (w/Slick) in a Tag team matchAndre and Duggan get in the ring first together. The Twin Towers come out next. Andre and Akeem go after it first, thereafter Duggan and Bossman are next. The match continues till Andre the Giant gets double teamed and hurt in the match. Andre struggles to make the tag till he does and Duggan finally runs in and beats up on the Twin Towers. Duggan manages to get the Old Glory in on Bossman for the pin and win. Winner: Andre the Giant & Jim Duggan via pinfallAkeem and Big Boss Man argue with each other till Slick leaves them both in the ring fed up. ______________________________________ Jake "the Snake" Roberts (c) vs. Barry Windham (w/J.J Dillon) for the WWF Intercontinental ChampionshipWindham is in the ring as Jake makes is way out. Suddenly the Brainbusters are out beating up on Jake Roberts. WWF Officials try to stop them but Roberts unleashes Damien and they run off. Roberts backs up Damien into the back as Windham makes his way out and attacks Roberts. The match goes on in the ring with Windham getting the upperhand for most of the match. Later on Jake lands a DDT. Jake Roberts is sick of the Four Horsemen that he drapes Damien over Windham and goes for the pin at the same time. The referee stops the match instead of going for the pin. Winner: Barry Windham via DQ.
______________________________________ Rick Martel vs. Tito Santana in Singles competition
Slick decides not to be on the side of Rick Martel in a prematch promo. It starts off fast-paced and is an anticipated mid-card match. Later in the match, Tito Santana hits the ropes for the crossbody only for Martel to reverse it and get the pinfall. Winner: Rick Martel via pinfallAfter the match in a post-match interview Martel says he doesn't need Slick anymore as he's the best around and he proved that tonight. ______________________________________ TO BE CONTINUED

Summerslam '89PART 2 of 2The Brainbusters (w/J.J Dillion) (c) vs. Demolition for the WWF Tag Team ChampionshipsDemolition get a huge pop as they come into the ring. The Brainbusters are out next as they hold up the World Tag titles up high. The Brainbusters are overpowered for most of the match. Arn Anderson gets frustrated and enters the ring when it was Tully and Smash, and when Smash hits the ropes, Arn gets for a spinebuster right away. He attacks Ax as the referee tries to stop them. Tully goes for the pin, but the referee isn't looking. Tully gets a hold of the ref, but Smash suddenly gets a roll up on Tully for the pin and win. Winner: Demolition via pinfall and NEW WWF Tag Team ChampionsThe crowd erupts with the win. Tully, Arn and Dillon are going nuts in the ring as they argue with one another. Jesse Ventura says this is the greatest moment in professional wrestling history as none of the darn Horsemen are champions any longer and their takeover will surely end. ______________________________________ Mean Gene: With me at this time is the leader of the Four Horsemen, Ric Flair you're moments away for the match of your life. Flair: That was a steel! Tully had him pinned down for the count! (Brainbusters walk in with Dillon) This is a travesty we'll take it up to Tunney and get that referee fired. Arn: You don't need to worry about that Ric, Tully and I will get back on our feet. A steel yes, but we're going to get those tag titles back and you'll see how it's done. Dillion: It ain't over for the Horsemen till it's all over for everyone else in the ring, and the Nature Boy, will prove tonight why the Horsemen as the best ever, and he will walk away with the lovely Elizabeth and a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship (Flair Woos). ______________________________________ The Hart Foundation (w/Owen Hart) vs. Rhythm and Blues (w/Jimmy Hart) in a Tag team matchAn anticipated Tag team match, the Hart Foundation get the early advantage with Owen Hart helping them out from the outside as their manager. Owen wears the same gear as Bret and Anvil. Later in the match, as Anvil is knocked out on the outside and when the referee is distracted by Jimmy Hart, Owen runs in and manages to get a pinfall over Greg without the referee noticing it was Owen. Owen rolls out and tries to hide. The referee is a bit confused but Bret and Anvil have their hands up on the outside and the match is declared by the referee. Winner: The Hart Foundation via pinfallIn a post-match interview Jimmy Hart goes off on the Hart Foundation and how Owen Hart gave them the win when he wasn't even in the match to begin with. He promises to take it up to Tunney. ______________________________________ Mean Gene with Randy Savage: Gene: We are just seconds away from your match... Randy: Ooooo ya don't you worry about my match ya because I've got a plan B ya... Gene: Wait wait what do you mean? Randy: O I know the kind of dirty player the Nature Boy is ya I know! And he'll find out that the Madness ain't all that different ya, because here in the WWF I'm the real deal ya I'm the dirtiest playa there is ya and tonight when Elizabeth walks up the aisle with me I'm going to be the happiest man alive ya! (leaves) Gene: Here we go! ______________________________________ Randy "Macho Man" Savage vs. The "Nature Boy" Ric Flair (w/Elizabeth) for the Managerial Services of Elizabeth. Ric Flair gets out first with the lovely Elizabeth. Savage runs out even before Flair can get into the ring and starts to pummel him down. Elizabeth runs to ringside. Savage whips Flair to the railings and smashes his head to the apron and tosses him into the ring. Randy gets the upper hand with a few holds till Flair backdrops him over the top rope to take a breather. Elizabeth looks concerned. Randy is back in and Flair lands multiple chops and bodyslams to wear him out. Savage counters a punch and starts to land punches and whips him to a corner as Flair falls right outside. Savage runs to the corner climbs it and jumps for a double axe handle. Randy smashes Flair's head into the railing and Flair starts to bleed. J.J Dillon walks out to help. Randy gets Flair in the ring and tries to open up that wound more. Flair pushes him aside and Dillon hands over a foreign object as Flair knocks down Randy with it and goes for the pin. Randy kicks out at two and Flair can't believe it. The referee starts asking Flair what is going on and Flair tries to hide the object till Randy high knee kicks him and the ref gets knocked out. Flair blocks Randy and knocks him down, throwing away the object. Dillon tosses a steel chair in the ring for Flair to smash it over Randy's legs twice. Suddenly from the crowd it's DUSTY RHODES. Jesse says he can't believe that Ric Flair's biggest rival is at ringside. Rhodes taps on Dillon's shoulder scaring him and Rhodes knocks him down. Flair locks the figure-four leglock as Rhodes gets in grabs the chair and looks over to Flair who lets go of the hold and shouts in fear. Flair runs to the corner but Rhodes swings the chair over Flair's bloodied face. He positions him for Randy to get back up. Randy struggles to a corner and doesn't know what happened. He gets to the top rope and lands his elbow drop finisher for the pin and win. Winner: Randy "Macho Man" Savage via pinfall and Elizabeth is now his manager.Elizabeth runs into the ring and embraces Randy Savage to much applause. They happily leave together as Jesse says as much as that was a total steal, he's glad Ric Flair lost the match. ______________________________________ Mean Gene with World Champion Rowdy Roddy Piper: Gene: What a match that was and now Roddy Piper you are in the match of your career as you have to defend that World Heavyweight title against the Incredible Hulk Hogan. Piper: You know ha, I've been around the world ha, beat up a lot of guys and I mean a lot, but Hulk Hogan has always been my achilles heels man ha you know why? Gene: Why is that? Piper: Because I've never beaten him and he's never beaten me man, we could never pin or make each other submit. And tonight it's time to change that. It's time to show that the Rowdy One has what it takes to beat you Hogan ha man look at you you threw away the fans, you threw away your career and now you're going to be humilated after I rip you apart (gets angry) and beat you up so bad they'll make a movie about us ha the end is nigh ha I think I'm high on adrenaline let's go Hogan let's go! ______________________________________ Mean Gene with the Incredible Hulk Hogan and Bobby Heenan: Gene: Roddy Piper is gearing up for the World title match, and Hulk Hogan we are just minutes away from your World title match... Heenan: How many times do we have to tell you it's "Incredible" Hulk Hogan. He's the Incredible One, the greatest of all time, he's got the largest arms in the world and tonight he's going to walk away as the four-time World Champion. Hogan: That's right Mean Gene brother, the future is all set, everything is going as planned, and with the Brain by my side, we're going to new heights and places. I've even got Hollywood producers begging me to come down and shoot movies because they know for a fact that I'm the real Mr. Hollywood, not that phony Piper who can probably sell more hot dogs at a newspaper stand than movie tickets brother. I'm the man that put professional wrestling on the map, I'm the man who brough the most brutual arena of human competition, the squared circle into the homes of millions around the world man. All those millions of fans pushing the walls down, barnstorming the doors to see me man, I'm more famous than all ya combined, so Roddy Piper tonight when it's all set and done, when I drag you into the danger zone brother, when I put you in the launch position and legdrop you into the depths of hell brother, the Incredible Hulk Hogan will rise once more as the new WWF Champion let's go! ______________________________________ Rowdy Roddy Piper (c) vs. The "Incredible" Hulk Hogan (w/Heenan) for the WWF World Heavyweight ChampionshipRowdy Piper comes out first with the World title belt and with several individuals out playing bagpipes. Piper is in the ring holding the title belt up high awaiting for the Hulkster. Hulk Hogan comes out to his Big Time theme and he's got a cape on, similar to how his Rocky character Thunderlips was. Heenan is by his side as they get into the ring. Piper goes on the offensive. He takes off Hogan's cape and wraps it around his neck. Hogan gets out of the hold as Piper takes off his belt from his belt and starts using it on Hogan. The referee takes it away. Hogan lands punches and whips Piper to a corner hard as he falls flat on the mat. Hogan lands a big elbow smash and starts landing punches on Piper on the mat. Piper retaliates and turns Hogan over to start landing punches. It's a brawl and they take it to the outside. Piper eye rakes and chops, whips Hogan to the ring post and tosses him back in the ring. Piper gets to the second rope to the top for a dropkick and Hogan falls. Piper goes for a piledriver, but Hogan backdrops him. Hogan lands two elbow drops for the pin. Hogan gets Piper up, but Piper eye rakes and whips Hogan to the ropes for an elbow as Hogan falls. Piper lifts Hogan for a bodyslam and pin to two. Piper gets the sleeperhold locked in, but Hogan reverses it and does a sleeper hold on. Piper struggles as Hogan is actually choking Piper. The referee breaks the hold. Hogan argues and starts on the offensive on Piper. Piper is back up and gets fired up landing jabs and punches and kicks. He tosses Hogan to the outside and follows him. However Hogan clotheslines him to the mat. Hogan lifts Piper up and smashes him on the announce table face first (a regular table). Piper is outcold. Hogan breaks the count and lifts Piper up and rolls him in the ring. Hogan gets in the ring laughing and bodyslams Piper. He hits the ropes for the legdrop and misses as Piper is up and goes for the figure-four leglock. Hogan is struggling as he tries to reverse it but Piper doesn't let go. Hogan tries to get to the ropes but passes out. The ref calls for the bell. Winner: Rowdy Roddy Piper via submission to retain the WWF World Heavyweight ChampionshipHeenan gets in the ring and argues with the referee that Hogan never tapped out. But the ref makes the decision regardless as Piper celebrates his title win. Hogan is taken out on a stretcher. Tony says this is a huge victory for Piper as Hulk Hogan has never submitted in his career, but Jesse argues that Hogan never tapped out and that his legs likely never truly healed.

MTV's The Fight to Get Even September 17th, 1989 Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Canada (sell out) Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred HayesNote: Obviously this event didn't happen, but I wanted since the beginning of this diary, to continue the "Rock n' Wrestling era" with the focus on more wrestling.Figure-Four: The Wrestling Album 3 is announced at the beginning of the show and is heavily advertised and will be available at record stores on September 21st. Songs (pretty gimmicky) from the Nature Boy, Honky Tonk Man, a Bad News "Rap" and Rowdy's new song "Mr. Hollywood" are available on tape. Gorilla: Welcome to this MTV Special I'm World Wrestling Federation commentator Gorilla Monsoon and with me is Lord Alfred Hayes and what an exclusive event we have for you folks. Hayes: What an event this is I mean imagine it it was just a few years ago when these big names of professional wrestling, Rowdy Roddy Piper and the Incredible Hulk Hogan battled it out live on MTV, but this time it's more personal. One man a World Champion who is calling himself Mr. Hollywood, while another is the former three-time Champion, the Incredible One. Gorilla: That's right we've got Mean Gene standing by right as we speak! Gene: (backstage) What a momentous occasion this is as there is much commotion going on in the back for this match. Hulk Hogan believes that he never lost at SummerSlam a few weeks back and (in walks Hogan) here he is with Bobby "the Brain" Heenan. Hogan: The Hulkster's never been pinned and has never submitted brother. Gene: Now the record books... Heenan: Don't you dare talk about record books, you know how many times this man gave title shots to Roddy Piper and what he doesn't want to do the match? Gene: Wait what do you mean is that what all the commotion was going on back here about Piper? Hogan: Piper is a scared man, he knows that if he got in the ring with me it'll all be over tonight. So Piper I'm going to go out there and if you refuse to come out brother, you have no choice but to forfeit the WWF Championship belt to me. Let's go Brain. Gorilla: (on commentary) I refuse to believe that Roddy Piper doesn't want to wrestling here tonight. Hayes: It's appalling to think...(Piper's music is on first) Gorilla: Wait just a minute it's Roddy Piper! Instead of Piper, Hulk Hogan walks out in a kilt and Piper's Hot Rod shirt. Hayes: I cant believe this, what disrespect for Roddy Piper. ______________________________________ Rowdy Roddy Piper (c) vs. The "Incredible" Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Heavyweight ChampionshipHogan takes off the kilt and rips the Hot rod shirt in the ring. Roddy Piper is shown in the back arguing with WWF Officials and he pushes many aside as he runs down the aisle and gets in the ring. The referee holds him back and Hogan goes after him landing punches, but Piper backfires and lands jabs and punches and hits the ropes for an elbow to the face. Hogan is hurt as Piper clotheslines him to the mat. Piper grabs his belt and starts to choke out Hogan. The ref stops him and tosses the belt aside. Piper lands chops and jabs and rakes the eyes. Piper gets the crowd riled up. Hogan is on the outside talking to Heenan. Piper grabs his own kilt and wraps it over Hogan's head, swinging him around to the ringpost, railings and steel steps. Piper tosses him back in as the fans are going wild. Hogan counters jabs and lands chops and whips Piper to the ropes for a desperate Axe Bomber. Both are on the mat. Hogan gradually goes for the pin to two. Hogan is up and lifts Piper for a bodyslam, but Piper lands a lowblow. The referee warns him as Piper laughs it out. Hogan is in the corner in pain as Piper does a knee kick and stomps him consistently. He grabs Hogan's hair and rams him on the turnbuckle five times and whips him to another corner hard as Hogan falls on his knees. Piper lifts him for a bodyslam and pin to two. Piper drags him to the middle of the ring for the figure-four, but Hogan kicks him hard as Piper lands on the outside. Hogan rolls out and starts pounding on Piper. Piper gets angry and it's an all out brawl. Piper doesn't stop and pounds away getting Hogan back in the ring. Piper follows till Hogan lifts him for a reverse atomic drop. Hogan hits the ropes for a clothesline but Piper ducks and turns around to get Hogan into the sleeperhold. Hogan struggles as he tries to get to the ropes. Heenan gets on the apron and gets a hold of Hogan's hands for the break. Piper gets angry and knocks down Heenan from the apron only for Hogan to land a low blow and smallpackage, but the referee calls the bell. Winner: Rowdy Roddy Piper via DQ. Hayes: Why would the referee call for the bell, clearly Hogan got the pin. Gorilla: Isn't it obvious Alfred, not only did Heenan interfere but Hogan used an illegal move! Hayes: Well didn't Piper do the same? Gorilla: Well he went off with a warning... Hogan starts to flip and goes nuts as Piper runs into the crowd as they all cheer for him and he walks up the steps. Gene: (backstage) I can't believe what a night this has been and it looks like (Hogan enters with Heenan) Hulk Hogan has once again lost his chance to get the gold... Heenan: We were robbed! That referee should've disqualified Piper first. Hogan got him for the pin he had him right in the middle! Hogan: That's right Bobby Heenan, because the fact of the matter is I proved tonight that I'm more than ready to be back in the ring. That referee is a cheat and when we are in the ring again Piper, you're going to lose a lot more than the World title brother (Heenan and Piper leave). Gorilla and Alfred Hayes discuss the match as Gene once again is standing by.Gene: I'm here now with the World Heavyweight Champion, Rowdy Roddy Piper.
Piper: (laughs) man who would've thought it would go into a DQ, ha I thought it'd all be over tonight but it's never going to be over ha I'm shaking I've got goosebumps my hair is raising in my legs ha what intensity what excitement this has been and what a match ha because Hulk Hogan man haha Incredible Pukester has a lot of nerve to try to pull a fast one him and that weasel ha and it really looks like it ain't over look into my eyes Hogan (camera pans) look into my eyes ha! It ain't over Hogan I'll put the belt on the line ha I'll put my shirt on the line ha because I wanna kick your rear from stadium to stadium until you learn your place.

WWF Prime Time Wrestling September 25th, 1989 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanDusty Rhodes Promo: You know daddy it was Randy Savage who asked me to come to the WWF. It was the Macho Man who needed me to watch his back at SummerSlam and I got his back against you Horsemen. I'm here to teach the Four Horsemen that you don't go around claiming to be number one until you end the careers of everyone in your path until you really dominate and yet here I am still standing with invitation and pride I'm still here. Now y'all don't got no championships, you got nothing and not even Elizabeth. You can't take over the WWF it'll never happen daddy; not on my watch.
Ric Flair, wow you're still a loudmouth son of a gun. We've had our clashes and wars in the past, but fate is catching up on you. You still don't know anything, you don't get it what it's really like for the regular joe trying to make it day in and day out in the wrestling world or even in the real world out there. You got ya fancy cars and jets, you got all your money and yet you couldn't hold on to the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. I'm Dusty Rhodes, I'm the American Dream, the very embodiment of it.
Many of you know how I really feel about Ric Flair, he's a guy whose got no honor or respect, a man who came here under false pretense, a guy who can't man up and it's time he finds out what the real American Dream is, he doesn't know squat about hard work and dedication because he's never worked out there a day in his life. I still got to admit that professional wrestling is both in our blood, it's in our sweat and tears and even my lovehandles know it, but that don't matter because you need to realize what it means to be good Ric Flair. You tried to be good, you tried to play favorite with the crowd, but they saw right through you. So I'm here to hurt you Ric Flair, I'm here to stop y'all from making an embarrasment out of the WWF. You don't deserve to be here, none of ya do. And if it takes a day a month or a year, the American Dream is gonna run all over ya'll. Heenan: I can't...I (calms down) you know what he's the Champion of the World...he can do whatever he wants but if he wants me to take him to newer heights he's gotta stop this.

WWF Prime Time Wrestling December 11th, 1989 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan
The episode focuses on the careers of the Macho Man and Hulk Hogan with classic matches. Then they talk about the long rivalry. Gorilla: Well it all started during Saturday Night's Main Event back in October of 1987, the Mega Powers were born. Hulk Hogan would later lose the World title a second time during last year's Main Event NBC program, leading to Randy Savage defeating both Ted Dibiase and Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania IV to become the WWF World Heavyweight Champion. However Hulk Hogan became jealous and couldn't handle it. So he used Miss Elizabeth and betrayed the Macho Man at SummerSlam 1988 costing the Macho Man the World title. Let's take a look back as to why the Hulkster did what he did: Flashback to Prime Time Wrestling September 13, 1988: Hulk Hogan: First of all the truth is I did this all for the money. The truth is I've never cared for the little Hulksters and you kids who are listening to me right now, could never be as big as me, never, no training or vitamins are going to make you as big as me. Not even your prayers will be answered because they weren't answered when I lost my World title back in February. I don't need to pray anymore because money is everything man. Money cures the sick, money puts food on your table, money is what makes the world go round brother and I've seen the light man. I did all this for me, so I could make a living, and make more money than anyone ever has...Randy Savage is a guy who would stoop to any level to get what he wants. You got a guy who made sure I would not win the World title again. He's a guy who never asked me if I wanted my title shot, I'm the obvious number one contender! He's a guy who gets to have a championship and at the same gets the girl? Heenan: Hulk Hogan is right, you got to give it to him. Gorilla: O give me a break, and then just when we thought the Macho Man would get his revenge at the Survivor Series 1988, Hogan doesn't even show up till late in the match and pins the Macho Man as a fresh man (clips shown) Heenan: (laughs) That's hilarious. Gorilla: So it came down to the Royal Rumble earlier in the year, the final confrontation and Hulk Hogan was ruthless in that match that the referee had to call the bell! Heenan: It was a forfeit! Gorilla: True but Elizabeth did it to save her man. Heenan: And in return for a while, Elizabeth became Hogan's woman based on the stipulation of that match! Gorilla: That's right folks and boy did the Hulkster torture the lovely Elizabeth. Take a look at these past highlights (reel shown) Heenan: Torture? Are you kidding me the Nature Boy did more damage to her than anyone. And besides they had another match during the Main Event in a steel cage... Gorilla: In which Bad News Brown who is the founder of the Bad News Gang, interfered in that match, though Randy Savage at Wrestlemania V would get his revenge. And now it comes to this, Hulk Hogan who forfeited his Survivor Series team because he was too afraid of facing the Macho Man is might I add once again the World Heavyweight Champion and the Macho Man wants a shot at the World title. Heenan: It ain't gonna happen the Macho Man is a lunatic and there are other contenders who want a shot I can tell you that.
