WWF Tuesday Night Titans May 21st, 1986 Hosts: Vince McMahon and Lord Alfred HayesBobby Heenan is brought in at the beginning of the show. Heenan: I've got a big announcement to make. Vince: And what's that? Heenan: I've just signed on two top stars, two of some of the best in the world and I would like to bring them out. Hercules and Harley Race come out. Heenan: That's right Hercules and "Handsome" Harley Race have joined the Heenan Family. Vince: What a family you have there now Brain. Heenan: Big John Studd, the Magnificent Muraco, King Kong Bundy and now these two. This is going to be the best family in WWF. Eat your heart out Jimmy Hart, Mr. Fuji, Freddie Blassie it doesn't matter who you are, I may have respect for them but we will always be in competition with each other and I got the best. Vince: Well I have to ask, Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff, who was once part of the Heenan family has gotten himself farther than most people. Heenan: Paul Orndorff is exactly as Adrian Adonis makes him out to be. He's Hulk Junior. He aspires to be Hulk Hogan, he's a wannabe. And what's with the same entrance music? He really is Hulk Junior. Vince: Well he did gain a huge victory over King Kong Bundy at MSG let's take a look (highlights shown) Heenan: He clearly had his legs on the ropes in that match, he cheated to win and the idiot referee couldn't notice. But I have to be honest, why wasn't Hogan out there for the match? Hulk Hogan is for Hulk Hogan, he only cares about himself and if Mr. Wonderful thinks he can become just as popular, he's mistaken. Matches: Ricky Steamboat def. jobber via pinfall
Paul Roma and SD Jones def. jobbers via pinfall

WWF Championship Wrestling June 21st, 1986 Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" VenturaSegments:The Flowershop (taped after MSG event came to a close and quickly ready for broadcast) with Bobby Heenan Adonis: Bobby you are a genius no doubt (fans chant weasal), he's the Brain! Jimmy Hart: Bobby Heenan I got to give it to you, I have to admit you have the strongest family in the WWF in all of professional wrestling. Heenan: Thank you Jimmy Hart. The Heenan Family will be going to new places, we have Big John Studd, King Kong Bundy, Handsome Harley Race, Hercules and the Magnificent Muraco...the strongest family and to celebrate this special occasion of being the best, I am introducing the inaugral "Heenan Family Gauntlet" for $100,000. That's right $100,000 the highest I've ever paid for a contest. Adonis: Wow!! That is amazing but what is this Gauntlet you speak of? Heenan: What this is, is one WWF Superstar, just one has to go through this gauntlet. This means that each of my guys will have three minutes to pin that one WWF Superstar and if they are unable too...the cash is yours. Adonis: So I can come in to the ring, and I would have to either let the time limit pass or eliminate them through pinfall or submission am I getting that right? Heenan: That's correct. So for this grand prize, just who...just who in the back who in the back has the guts to take on this $100,000 challenge. Jimmy: That's a lot of money baby! When does it take place? Heenan: At Saturday Night's Main Event on July 3rd that's right! Is there anyone anyone in the back? Anyone? it's $100,000 to take on the Heenan Family and each of my wrestlers will just have three minutes with you. If you could last or beat them all, the money is yours! Real American music plays and out comes Mr. Wonderful to a big pop. Paul: I want to take this challenge...I want a chance for the big money...I've beaten Bundy and I will sure has heck last through all of your guys. I will not be beaten! Adonis: As much as I would love to see Hulk Junior get beaten up in the ring by the Heenan Family...I just don't know if he gots what it takes you know, he's still praying and training the Hulkamania way (laughs) Paul: (gets angry) What did you call me? Real American plays once again and out comes Hulk Hogan Hogan: First of all I've come out here to tell you Mr. Wonderful that I will always have your back (Wonderful shakes his head)...but I have to tell you I don't think you are a 100% ready after that beating you took last week. You're neck's been given you problems and I know you need to be 100% brother. Paul: What do you mean I'm not ready? Hogan: I'm saying that I'll do it for you brother...I'll go through this Gauntlet and beat your guys Heenan and I'll hand that money over to Mr. Wonderful. Paul: I don't want a hand out Hulk.... Hogan: It's not a handout because the Hulkamania way is to win and take that money and give it to charity so all those little Hulkamaniacs who love the Hulkster and Mr. Wonderful... they'll get some help. Heenan: No no no Mr. Wonderful came out here first and...wait now...fine fine if you want to enter this Gauntlet Hulkster, if you want it than you have to sacrifice something. Hogan: What's that? Heenan: If you lose! Put it this way I want you to put your WWF World Heavyweight Championship belt on the line! Gene: I have a feeling their will be retribution to pay and we have to get some word from WWF Officials regarding the legality... Heenan: There is no need because Paul Orndorff signed on with me...that's right I'm his manager now and he belongs in the Heenan family so therefore the match counted! I'm managing the new World Heavyweight Champion! Gene: (they all leave the area) I can't believe this back to you Vince. Vince: (on commentary) I can't believe what we just saw (Hogan holds on to his neck as he is being taken to the back by other babyfaces) Jesse: It's about time McMahon, Hulk Hogan had held that World title for far too long and got what he deserved. Majority of heels are celebrating the victory in a banquet-like setting. Heenan makes a toast to Mr. Wonderful who gets up on the podium. Paul: First of all I wanted to say something to the Hulkster because I know he'll be listening to this. I told you Hulk Hogan, I told you to back out of the challenge. What kind of idiot would put the World title on the line from a challenge like that? I tried to warn you, this was my challenge, mine! But no you wanted my spotlight, you knew that Mr. Wonderful was bigger than Hulkamania. You felt threatened that I had the guts to do the Gauntlet, that I was the first to accept the challenge before you and that all your Hulkamaniacs were going to turn to me.
Look at this poster of Hulk Hogan (which was at the stage and he tears it apart) For two long years he held this title! Hulkamania is done! Wonderfulmania is going to take the world by storm. (everyone cheers Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!)
Now for all you out there look at this piece of gold (displays the title belt) for I am the WWF World Heavyweight Champion and there is nothing bigger or better than this! (everyone cheers as they break out wine/champagne bottles for the party). Heenan comes up and announces another great victory in that Andre the Giant is suspended from the WWF for no-showing at an event and the heels cheer on. Flowershop with the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith. Smith calls out Kid for the next flowershop because he wants to make amends and end this anomisity with each other. Hulk Hogan is at a gym with Vince McMahon for an interview.Vince: Hulk Hogan there is no doubt in my mind that you are a true heavyweight champion of the world and I must know how you feel after WWF President Jack Tunney following the match at Saturday Night's Main Event, declared that the match was legal and that Mr. Wonderful is indeed the new World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion. Hulk: (soft voice) You know Vince, I've been working out every day man...don't have time to go home...I'm hurt man...but in our darkest hour brother...we need faith we need to continue training, continue taking our vitamins and prayers...that's what keeps us up that's what makes us strong brother. Vince: Many are saying that you took this more personally than professionally... Hulk: (gets angry) He was like my brother man...he was following in my footsteps doing everything the Hulkamania way but maybe it was for the fame man...maybe that's what he wanted to get in my head and rip Hulkamania apart from the inside man. But Mr. Wonderful if you're listening man...I'm not going to let you take the best of me...because when I do get back in the ring with you...you're going to wish you never met Hulk Hogan man...you're going to wish you never wrestled in your life. Vince: Hulk Hogan the world wants to know when you'll get back and claim your rematch... Hulk: I've been thinking long and hard. I learned a hard lesson Vince...a very hard lesson that for one minute you could be on top of the world, and the next thrown in the bottom of a well man...cause that's how I feel with Paul Ornodorff man...(gets really angry) Orndorff... if you think for one minute man for one minute you got a chance to face me in the ring...you're mistaken. WWF Tuesday Night Titans July 14th, 1986 Hosts: Mene Gene and Lord Alfred HayesGuests: Tito Santana and the Foreign Legion Bobby "the Brain" Heenan and Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff (they come out to "Real American" music as a mockery and Paul does the Hulk hand-ear gesture to the audience) Gene: Welcome to the show, Bobby "the Brain" Heenan at Saturday Night's Main Event you scored one of the biggest victories in professional wrestling history, when your man Mr. Wonderful pinned Hulk Hogan to become the new WWF World Heavyweight Champion. Heenan: I've been saying it time and time again, Hulk Hogan is only for Hulk Hogan. Paul: I warned him, I told him not to do the challenge the day of, but too bad because he lost his precious title to me. Gene: So tell me how did this happen was this pre-planned the whole time? Heenan: Well first of all I expected Hulk Hogan to take on the challenge first, no offense to Mr. Wonderful, I did and I didn't think he could win and secondly I didn't think he was foolish enough to put up his World title up for grabs, I was wrong (laughs). But I noticed the truth, I noticed all this time how Mr. Wonderful the new Champion of the World, was being treated by that selfish Hulk Hogan. I noticed how everyone was calling him Hulk Junior... Gene: Now wait a minute you were calling him... Heenan: Now now let me continue...so after the way the Hulkster treated him and tried to take away the spotlight from Paul Orndorff, I then called Paul the night before the big match and he agreed to sign a contract with me. He signed as a member of the Heenan family before the match took place. Gene: Now hold on a moment because when the Gauntlet challenge was set up this happened before you signed on Mr. Wonderful...that would mean that he couldn't have... Heenan: You are a loud mouth aren't you Gene? Gene: I bet your pardon? Heenan: Look heres the deal, the referee made the decision and WWF President Jack Tunney had accepted the outcome. So there is nothing anyone can do about it Mr. Wonderful is the official World champion. Paul: That's right, I am the World champion (gets up and does the hand-ear gesture to mostly heat, but some fans shout "Wonderful!") Gene: Now Mr. Wonderful I'm sure Hulk Hogan will be wanting a rematch soon. Paul: The answer is no (laughs) Heenan: That's right Hulk Hogan doesn't deserve a title shot. Gene: Are you saying you won't offer him a World title shot, for crying out loud... Heenan: He has to prove himself, prove it that he can take on Mr. Wonderful. Gene: If you say so, but in order to continue on as World champion he has to defend the world title... Heenan: O he will be defending the World title soon and his first title defense will be against Sifi Avi soon. Matches: King Kong Bundy def. Tony Atlas via pinfall

Paul starts to make the hand-ear gestures to the fans as a mockery of Hulk Hogan and gets close to the ropes. Afi hits the ropes and lands a dropkick for Paul to fall on the outside. Afi gets on the outside and starts landing punches, but Orndorff blocks and smashes his head to a ringpost. He tosses him in the ring and hits a clothesline and a running elbow drop. Paul bodyslams Afi, but Afi counters with a roll up and pin to two. Afi hits several chops and whips Paul to a corner for a back splash and lands it. Hulk Hogan shoot interview in 2012 Interviewer: You were the World champion since '84 and all of a sudden you lose the World title to Mr. Wonderful two years later. I'm wondering how did they all go down because from what I heard it wasn't supposed to happen. Hogan: Well Vince called me in one day and told me about an idea of dropping the belt to Orndorff. I didn't know if that was a good idea I mean it was a huge risk. Why put a stop to something so good you know? I almost took it personally I mean Hulkamania was running wild and we were making big money already. Interviewer: Did you anticipate how hot the feud would get? Hogan: O man we sold out everywhere to the point that we needed bigger venues you know...we even oversold tickets had people stand without seats even if that resulted in a few hundred refunds there was just so much demand and comp(limentary) tickets they didn't even exist because it was in huge demand...but yah I didn't want to go through with it at first till Vince figured out a really good finish with that whole Gauntlet challenge and I was convinced this would be big money. Interviewer: How were you convinced? Hogan: Well think about it a heel champion who betrayed the top guy, cheating his way to the title plus mimicking everything the top guy did...who wouldn't want to pay for that feud...it was really hot. Paul wasn't meant to be a babyface, he was always good as a heel... Interviewer: Was the " Great Betrayal" planned from the start or... Hogan: O ya Vince wanted Orndorff to turn heel, which is why he was partnered up with me and this was a great way to do so. Interviewer: Despite being a heel Mr. Wonderful was still cheered by many too. Hogan: Yeah he was, people still loved him but I think they loved him as a heel more than a baby face (laughs).
