WWF Houston Wrestling November 6th, 1987 Hosts: Bruce Pritchard, Mike McGuirk, Bobby "the Brain" Heenan and Pete Doherty.Bruce interviews the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase with Virgil Bruce: There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the mysterious diamond necklace and I want to ask you Million Dollar Man, is it true that you were the one who send it to Miss Elizabeth? Dibiase: Do you think the folks at home couldn't figure it out themselves? Of course I did. I needed a valet, and there is no one more elegant than Miss Elizabeth in the WWF. And trust me I've had offers, Missy, Donna, Sherri even Moolah, but it doesn't matter because I need someone who screams envy and wealth whom I'm willing to pay a hefty salary. Bruce: And what kind of salary is that? Dibiase: Listen up Miss Elizabeth, I'm offering you $100,000 a year, no make that $200,000 a year to work for me as my person valet. Bruce: I have my doubts to be honest with you because the Macho Man doesn't look happy about your gift. Dibiase: He'll just have to deal with it. Bruce: And what about the World Heavyweight Championship, last month right here in Houston you defeated Hulk Hogan... Dibiase: It was a countout victory, and so tonight I'm going to make Hulk Hogan an offer he can't refuse... Bruce: What kind of offer are you talking about? Dibiase: An offer of a lifetime, where he will have to relinquish the WWF World Heavyweight Championship belt to me and just watch...just watch how everyone even Hulk Hogan has a price for the Million Dollar Man (laughs and leaves) Televised Matches: Mr. Wonderful (w/Bob Orton Jr) def. Ravishing Rick Rude (w/Heenan) via DQ.
Jim Duggan def. King Harley Race (w/Heenan) via pinfall, however Race retains the King's Crown as it was "non-title"
Strike Force def. The Hart Foundation (Kid & Bret) (w/Jimmy Hart & Jim Neidhart) (c) via pinfall to become the NEW WWF Tag Team Champions. Bret and Kid get into an argument and Neidhart stops them from fighting as he promises they'll get the titles back. Randy "Macho Man" Savage (w/Elizabeth) def. WWF Prime Time Wrestling November 12th, 1987 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" Heenan Gorilla: Alright ladies and gentlemen, WWF World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan has accepted Andre the Giant's challenge and has formed his team so the main event of Survivor Series on November 26th will be: Hulkamaniacs: Hulk Hogan, Bam Bam Bigelow, Hillbilly Jim, Ken Petera and Outback Jack VERSUS The Giants: Andre the Giant, One Man Gang, King Kong Bundy, Kamala and Black Jack Mulligan. Heenan: I can't believe Hulk Hogan chose the worst of them all...there is no way he's going to win this one. The Giants are going to win I mean look at the tale of the tape, Andre is 7 foot 5 520lbs, One Man Gang is 6 foot 9 450lbs, King Kong Bundy is 458lbs, then you got the nearly four-hundred pound Ugandan Giant Kamala and Black Jack Mulligan is 6 foot 9 340lbs. I don't even think the ring can hold all these giants. Gorilla: Well Hulk Hogan is the World Heavyweight Champion at 6 foot 8 302lbs and Bam Bam Bigelow is also nearly 400 pounds, Hillbilly Jim is 6 foot 7, then you got the 330 pound Ken Patera and Outback Jack is a 300 pounder himself. So if you speak of the tale of the tape, the Hulkamaniacs aren't so bad. Heenan: Hogan is a fool, he should accept Ted Dibiase's offer and from what I've heard it's the kind of money you can't even count. Gorilla: Won't Andre the Giant want the World title again? Heenan: Of course he does, but I know Hogan and he's an arrogant dummy. He won't accept it and Andre will be get his World title back. Matches: The Honkytonk Man def. Hillbilly Jim via pinfall
Outback Jack def. jobber via pinfall
Bam Bam Bigelow (w/Oliver) def. Nikolai Volkoff (w/Slick) via pinfall
The "Natural" Butch Reed (w/Slick) def. Omar Atlas via pinfall The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase (w/Virgil) vs. The Junkyard Dog (w/Albano) in Singles competition. Ted Dibiase enters the ring and offers JYD one dollar to forfeit the match and JYD is insulted and beats up both Dibiase and Virgil. He grabs a hold of a large sum of cash from Dibiase's pockets and goes on the outside to throw it to the crowd. Dibiase follows him outside and Virgil attacks JYD from behind. Later in the match, when JYD got a nearfall, Dibiase counters a clothesline for the Million Dollar Dream on JYD for the win. Winner: Ted Dibiase via sleeperBob Orton Jr. def. Scott Casey via pinfall.

WWF Prime Time Wrestling December 7th, 1987 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanHulk Hogan interview with Craig deGeorge Craig: Hulk Hogan it's great to see you out here. Hogan: Well you know brother I've been stylin and smilin going day in and day out defending the World Heavyweight Championship...but I got to say I never knew someone would would be pilin up his cash to make me an offer of a lifetime for my World title... Craig: That's right the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase is asking you to hand over the WWF World Heavyweight Championship belt for an unknown sum and I got to ask what was the offer? Hogan: Well you know something (grabs a hold of the belt from his waist), I keep looking at this belt and how hard I've fought for it, but I also thought about the Multi-Million Dollar Man's offer man...(shakes head) I couldn't believe what he offered...I couldn't even believe that such money could exist man...I could retire right here and right now never having to worry about money man I can buy estates and cars and heck even an island because that's the kind of money Ted Dibiase is offering man... Craig: Will you accept Ted Dibiase's offer? Hogan: That's the problem man I kept thinking about how with all the money I could help thousands of little Hulkamaniacs, I could start my own charity man...but the more I think about it the more I think about the kind of dirty money that I would be using...the kind of money coming from the likes of the Multimillion Dollar Man...and when I look at this belt in my hands I think about how hard it was for all the Hulkamaniacs when it was stolen from me, how hard it was to get it back I had to beat Andre the Giant to regain the World title man...so the answer is....the answer is no! (crowd cheer) Craig: There you have it folks! Hulk Hogan has declined Ted Dibiase's offer to relinquish the WWF Heavyweight Championship. Hogan: That's right, so if you want this belt Ted Dibiase, if you want it so bad, you're going to have to take it from me in the ring brother. WWF Prime Time Wrestling December 21st, 1987 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanTed Dibiase interview with Craig DeGeorge: Craig: You definitely made a big mark here in the World Wrestling Federation, but I got to ask, I know you're motto is that everyone's got a price for you, but both Miss Elizabeth and Hulk Hogan have rejected your offers! Dibiase: You're wrong in so many ways everyone does have a price and to prove that everyone does have a price I have made a huge deal from Bobby "the Brain" Heenan that he couldn't refuse. Craig: Wait what kind of deal are we talking about here and for what reason? Dibiase: I saw what Hulk Hogan has done to this man, a man so determined he'll make sure no one gets the title... Craig: What are you talking about? Dibiase: I'm talking about a man who will help me win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, a man who I will match my offer to Hulk Hogan too...a giant of a man that's right I'm talking about Andre the Giant! (Andre comes out) Craig: I can't believe what is happening here, Andre the Giant you're going to be working for this man? Andre: Money talks and I couldn't believe the offer Dibiase made me. The WWF World Heavyweight Championship means more to Million Dollar Man than anyone...so I have accepted your offer Mr. Dibiase and I will get that World title for you. Craig: I can't believe it! (Dibiase laughs and they leave) Folks it looks like Andre does have a price after all. Back to Studio:Gorilla: What in the world? No wonder you're wearing that fancy suit and flashing that Rolex on the camera Bobby Heenan did you just sell off Andre the Giant to Ted Dibiase? Heenan: I got it for Christmas. No other comment. Gorilla: Well we just saw it Andre is with Ted Dibiase! Heenan: Let me put it this way, it's a temporary situation for a price and what a price, Andre is still a member of the Heenan family but for now Ted Dibiase can have him. Gorilla: I can't believe you would sell him off like that he was your World Champion, and Andre could still be the next World Champion. Heenan: Maybe maybe not? Gorilla: You honestly think that Andre will just hand over the World title to Dibiase? I doubt the WWF will accept that. Heenan: You'll see.

End of 1987 Comments: A lot has happened during the year, Hulk Hogan won the World title for a second time from Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania III. Randy Savage got his IC title back (which was what was supposed to happen, and he was supposed to get it from Butch Reed). Ted Dibiase makes his debut and in this timeline he's meant to be one of the best wrestlers around so much that Hulk Hogan has yet to pin him. If there was a big enough of a heel since Roddy Piper, then it was definitely Ted Dibiase. Dibiase is being set for what he was promised...so stay tuned for a hot 1988.

WWF Prime Time Wrestling January 18th, 1988 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanGorilla: Well it looks like the Royal Rumble is being shaped up to be the biggest wrestling extraveganza since the Survivor Series. The main event Battle Royal will now determine who will be the true King of the WWF. Royal Rumble January 24th, 1988 (Live on USA Network) Copps Coliseum, Hamilton, Canada Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" Ventura Guest Host: Superstar Billy Graham Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat def. Rick Rude (w/Heenan) via DQ. Sensational Sherri (c) def. Velvet McIntyre via pinfall to retain the WWF Ladies World ChampionshipDino Bravo Weighlifting with Jesse Ventura segment. _____________________________________________________ Contract Signing of Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant: Ted Dibiase and Virgil are already in the ring with Andre. Mean Gene calls out Hulk Hogan who comes in with his Real American music with a big pop. Jesse says that his song is "Real American" and this is Canada and he doesn't get why Canadians are cheering for him. Hogan enters the ring and looks almost frightened. Gene: I would like to introduce to you the esteemed President of the World Wrestling Federation, Jack Tunney. Tunney: Gentlemen please have a seat (has a seat and brings out the contract, Hulk sits first) Gene: Andre the Giant please have a seat. (Andre just stares at Hogan hanging on the ropes) Tunney: Andre please sit. (Vince says this is ridiculous) Gene: As a reminder this contract is for a rematch for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship for February 5th, at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis for The Main Event, live on NBC. Please Andre have a seat. Tunney: I'm not going to ask again, have a seat or I will not continue with the signing. (Dibiase starts whispering to Andre, fans are chanting Hogan and Andre finally sits down) Thank you. As part of this signing, the contract has a special stipulation that has never been done before in WWF history. The stipulation is that if Andre the Giant wins the match by pinfall or submission, the WWF World Heavyweight Championship will change hands and will be delivered to the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase. This is the first time ever that such a contract has been written and it'll be the last of its kind and through rigorous negotiations the WWF board has agreed to this. Mr. Hogan take a look at the contract please and sign on the dotted lines. Hogan: (Hulk shakes his head) What is this? A title can't change hands like that? Why doesn't Dibiase get in the ring with me and win it like he is supposed too? Tunney: Mr. Hogan you don't have to sign this if you do not wish to do so. It is an unusual contract, but we have made this one exception. Dibiase: (gets a hold of the mic) Go ahead Hogan sign it why don't you (laughs) or are you too scared? Why are you hestitating, why are you nervous? What you can't take on Andre the Giant? So you're admitting you're a coward? Is that what Hulkamania is all about? Or maybe you know the truth, that Andre the Giant did in fact pin you at Wrestlemania III in under three minutes! (Hogan signs the contract) You just signed away your career Hogan, because this man Andre the Giant will have all the money he's ever wanted on February the 5th and the World Heavyweight Championship belt will be around my waist (laughs) Gene: Hulk Hogan has signed the contract and now it's up to Andre the Giant to sign the contract both for the match and for relinquishing the World title if he wins by pinfall or submission on February 5th (Andre reads it over) Come on now... Dibiase: This man has almost waited a year, he's ready and wants to make sure the contract is all in order. (It's a staredown and Andre finally signs) Gene: Alright Andre the Giant has signed the contract. Dibiase: Now that you've signed the contract Andre, put your official stamp of approval on it. Andre gets up as does Hulk. Hulk tries to grab Dibiase, but Andre smashes Hogan's head on the table and flips it over along with Hogan who has the table over him on the mat. Andre and the rest leave. Hogan struggles to get up and looks disappointed. _____________________________________________________ 30 Man Battle Royal to determine the true King of the WWF. Participants are: Bret Hart, Dynamite Kid, Jim Neidhart, Danny Davis, Jim Brunzell, B. Brian Blair, Tito Santana, Rick Martel, Jake Roberts, Harley Race, Jim Duggan, Butch Reed, Sam Houston, Boris Zhukov, Nikolai Volkoff, Don Muraco, Ron Bass, The Ultimate Warrior, Junkyard Dog, Davey Boy Smith, One Man Gang, Hillbilly Jim, Paul Roma, Jim Powers, King Kong Bundy, Hercules, Haku, Tama, Ax, and Smash.Bret Hart and Dynamite Kid happen to be the first participants. They start to argue and actually fight each other. Jake Roberts is Number 30 and as soon as he comes in he unleashes his python Damien as six WWF Superstars in the ring jump out with the exception of Harley Race and Jim Duggan who are still fighting. Roberts gets a huge pop and DDT chants and packs up Damien as the referees demanded it. Race manages to toss Duggan who was a fan favorite as well to the outside. Race and Roberts are the last ones remaining and it's a five minute match. Roberts hits the DDT on Race and tosses him over the ropes to win. Winner: Jake "the Snake" Roberts and NEW King of the WWFHarley Race and Bobby Heenan are angry on the outside and they steel the Crown, Scepter and Cape and run to the back. Jake Roberts laughs it out and celebrates in the ring to end the night.

Randy says tonight the Million Dollar Man will go down and Hulk Hogan will defeat Andre and highlights of their feud is shown. Ted Dibiase introduces himself with Andre the Giant and says that Randy Savage is a liar and Miss Elizabeth deserves a better man. He says with him is Andre the Giant who will help him win the World Heavyweight Championship and Andre says he can't wait to squeeze Hogan's neck again and again. Hogan introduces himself and says that tonight all the prayers and thoughts of the Hulkamaniacs will stand with him and go in the ring with him and that Hulkamania will never die. Like a TV show, The Main Event opens with wrestlers as the "starring cast". _______________________________________________ Vince: Welcome to the Main Event, I'm Vince McMahon and with me at this time is Jesse the Body Ventura Jesse: You can skip the introductions because the world knows who I am, and tonight we have two big title matches especially the biggest rematch in history and I can't wait to see what happens when the Million Dollar Man walks away with two championships McMahon. Vince: And here he is! (Ted Dibiase's theme is on and he starts to walk down the aisle with Virgil) Jesse: That's right the next World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion! Vince: I have my doubts about that Jesse: Are you kidding me has anyone ever pinned or make Dibiase submit? Nobody not even Hogan. Vince: Well no, but if he's so great why have Andre wrestle for him? And this doesn't mean he'll walk out with two titles, which has never happened before! Let's take you back stage with Gene Okerlund standing by. Gene: (backstage) Thank you Vince and with me at this time is the WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion, the Macho Man Randy Savage and his manager Miss Elizabeth. Randy: Ooo ya the Macho Man is ready ya everyone knows that tonight after I take care of Dibiase I'll walk out with the Intercontinental Championship belt after I beat you down for the count ya! Gene: Well I want to ask you Elizabeth, Ted Dibiase has said that tonight you'll see the light and join his side as his new valet. Liz: No sir... Randy: No sir-ree no way that Elizabeth would join the likes of Dibiase because she doesn't have a price ya because tonight he enters the danger zone ya and she's got nothing to worry about but the Million Dollar Man has everything to worry about ya that's right! Gene: Ted Dibiase claims that you've mistreated Elizabeth... Randy: It's just adding fuel to the fire ya and no diamond rings will convince her and no money will buy me ya I'm coming for you as everyone watches Macho Madness tonight as the Madness prevails bet on me man all the way! Elizabeth walk down that aisle! Gene: Alright here we go! _______________________________________________ Randy "Macho Man" Savage (w/Elizabeth) (c) vs. Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase (w/Virgil) for the WWF Intercontinental ChampionshipRandy gets into the ring and locks up with Dibiase. Dibiase gets a chin lock and Randy reverses with some holds till he gets the atomic drop. Randy lands a clothesline and a back elbow to a corner. He whips Dibiase to another corner for a running knee kick. Virgil gets on the apron and Randy knocks him down. Dibiase does a legsweep and starts landing punches on Randy who is on the mat. Randy counters and knocks Dibiase down with a punch. He clotheslines him, hip toss and backbreaker for the pin to two. Dibiase gets the upperhand and runs with a back elbow to the corner on Randy. He does a jumping stomp and gutwrench suplex and powerslam for the pin to two. Randy struggles to get back up and manages to lift Dibiase over his back so he can fall on the outside. Virgil helps out Dibiase as Randy goes to the top rope and lands a double axe handle on Dibiase. Virgil starts attacking Randy from behind. Elizabeth slaps Virgil hard. Virgil gets angry and pushes Elizabeth to the ground. Randy gets extremely angry and beats on Virgil whipping him to the steel steps as Dibiase gets back in. Randy checks on Elizabeth who says she's okay but hurt. Randy climbs the ropes and goes for another double axe handle on Dibiase, but Dibiase punches his gut on the way down. Dibiase goes for the Million Dollar Dream. Randy hangs on to the ropes for the break and pushes Dibiase into the referee who is knocked out. He jumps at Dibiase and lands several punches. Virgil is back up and starts to chase after Elizabeth. Elizabeth gets in the ring as Virgil runs in and Randy clotheslines him to the outside and he's outcold. Randy grabs a hold of Dibiase and asks Elizabeth to slap Dibiase. Instead she grabs her right high heel she swings it hard and fast as Dibiase ducks and she knocks Randy right into the eye with her high heel. He shouts really loud and is in a lot of pain as Elizabeth has her hands over her mouth in shock. The referee starts to get up and Dibiase gets a small package for the win. Winner: Ted Dibiase via pinfall and NEW WWF Intercontinental ChampionTed Dibiase celebrates in the ring with the IC title. Elizabeth tends to Randy Savage as WWF Officials and a medic run out to help him out. Dibiase says on the mic: Dibiase: I'm sorry for what Virgil did to you I'll fire him if you join me for a price. Elizabeth is in tears and tells him to shut it as she sticks to Randy's side. Dibiase leaves the ring with the IC title up high leaving Virgil behind to get up himself. _______________________________________________ Mean Gene with Ted Dibiase: Gene: I can't believe what has transpired here Randy is being checked on by doctors in the back and we'll get more on his condition. Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase you have won the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Dibiase: This is the greatest night of my life, but the icing on the cake is when Andre the Giant wins the title for me and I will walk out the greatest champion of all time. Gene: And you're offer to Elizabeth I don't think... Dibiase: You don't need to think of it at all because I believe she meant to hurt Randy that's right she did it herself and cost him the Intercontinental title. She wants to be with me Gene. Gene: And what about Virgil? Dibiase: I'll keep him around for now until Elizabeth joins with me. He shouldn't have done what he did. For now I got to get ready for the biggest rematch in history and everyone's got a price for the Million Dollar Man (laughs and leaves) Vince: (on commentary) I can't believe what has happened here tonight! Jesse: I think Dibiase is right about that I have a feeling that Elizabeth wanted to hit Randy. Vince: I don't believe that at all Dibiase got out of the way, it was an accident! TO BE CONTINUED

The Main Event
Part 2 of 2Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant feud highlights from early 1987, Wrestlemania III and onwards up until the contract signing is shown. Hulk Hogan workout montage is shown readying for his match. _______________________________________________________ Mean Gene Okerlund with Dibiase, Andre and Virgil: Gene: Well ladies and gentlemen tonight you have the chance Ted Dibiase to win a second piece of gold, the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, but instead of you challenging the Hulkster, you have Andre the Giant doing it for you! Dibiase: (Virgil holds unto the IC title belt for Dibiase) A chance? Was it a chance that I would walk out the Intercontinental Champion? Obviously it would be unfair if I would have to do two Championship matches in one night, so Andre is doing this for me because he knows that he was cheated out of the World Heavyweight Championship when he clearly pinned the Pukester at Wrestlemania III, but the referee cheated, the referee cheated for Hogan and after a year Hogan's been running form Andre and tonight he gets his chance at revenge. Gene: Obviously you're overconfident going into this, but is Andre the Giant ready? Dibiase: Of course he's ready, he's got the finest training and facilities money can buy, everyone knows that money makes the man and it takes big money to match up the big man like this. That's why Andre is with me he knows if he wins tonight he'll get a lot more than he could've ever imagined. While Hulk Hogan is hanging around with the nickel and dime Hulkamaniacs, he's small change, his account is overdrawn and Andre will clsoe it. Gene: Andre? Andre: Once I get my hands on you I'll never stop never! I'm going to squeeze and twist and squeeze again and squeeze I'll never stop! Dibiase: Let's go! (they leave for the ring) Howard Finkle (in the ring): Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is for the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship. It's scheduled for one fall with a special stipulation that if Andre the Giant wins by pinfall or submission he will relinquish the Championship of the World to the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase....(Andre, Virgil and Dibiase are walking out for the match, Andre is billed at 550lbs) _______________________________________________________ Mean Gene with Hulk Hogan: Gene: Well it looks like Andre the Giant has millions of reasons you take your title away. Hogan: (has the old belt) Well with all the controversy Mean Gene from Wrestlemania III, I tried to keep an open mind man, I've viewed the film a thousand times and Andre the Giant you only had me down for the two count. I slammed you and beat you one two three. With the prayers, vitamins and training, it's a small chance for you Multi-Million Dollar Man and I've invested my three assets in a lifelong profit sharing plan with all my little Hulksters brother and we'll all be watching you man. Then Andre the Giant, one on one, with the whole world watching, I'm going to prove to you I can beat you and Hulkamania will live forever! Gene: Alright ladies and gentlemen Hulk Hogan is on his way out! _______________________________________________________ Hulk vs. Andre II: Hulk Hogan (c) vs. Andre the Giant (w/Ted Dibiase & Virgil) for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. If Andre wins, Ted Dibiase is awarded the World title. Hulk Hogan walks out with the "new" winged-eagle World title around his waist. Dibiase, Virgil (who holds unto the IC title belt) and Andre are in the ring. Dave Hebner is actually the referee but it's believed to be Earl Hebner. Hogan runs in and takes off the belt ready to attack Andre but "Earl" stops Hogan. The bell rings and Hogan goes after Andre landing numerous punches but Andre won't go down. Two clotheslines and Andre won't go down. Andre is wobbly and Hogan gets to the second rope to the top and hands a double axe handle and it's not enough. Andre lands a headbutt and Hogan blocks a punch and starts landing more punches till he goes to the second rope again and lands a clothesline from the top for Andre the fall hard on the mat. Hogan hits the ropes for the leg drop but Virgil grabs his legs. Andre is up and headbutts him. It's a roman knuckle lock and Andre has him down but Hogan hulks up and gets up and kicks Andre breaking the lock. Landing chops, Hogan clotheslines him to the corner and goes for a bodyslam, but Dibiase runs in with a chair and smashes it over Hogan's back. Andre starts to choke Hogan as the referee is "distracted" shouting at Virgil and didn't "see" the chair shot. Hogan is practically out of it till Andre lands his suplex finisher for the pin. The referee runs and counts to three as Hogan's arm was clearly up at two. The bell rings. Winner: Andre the Giant via pinfall. Ted Dibiase becomes the NEW WWF World Heavyweight ChampionHogan is up and argues with the referee. The ref goes on the outside and grabs a hold of the World title and hands it over to Andre the Giant. Mean Gene gets in the ring with a mic. Gene: Andre the Giant you have pinned Hulk Hogan and now you have to relinquish the championship belt. Andre: That's right now that I have this belt I am giving it to the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase! (hands over the belt as Dibiase celebrates as Virgil places it around his waist and Dibiase's theme song is played). Vince: (on commentary) I can't believe it! Jesse: I told you so McMahon and I told you that Dibiase was going to win both titles tonight! Vince: This is crazy the referee clearly made such a stupid decision! Suddenly the real Earl Hebner runs out and tells Mean Gene that he was "tied" up in the back and that his twin brother Dave was officiating. Hogan tries to go after the new champion and they all run off. Earl pushes Dave in the ring till Hogan looks at them all confused and knocks them both down and out of the ring in anger. _______________________________________________________ Mean Gene with Hulk Hogan post-match interview: Gene: It has been my pleasure all these years to interview him but I did not expect this man to be without the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship this evening. Hulk Hogan, you have lost the championship to Andre who has relinquished it to the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, I must know...the world must know just how you feel this night. Hulk: (in tears walking back and forth): What was the referee thinking brother! My god what was he thinking! Two referees! What the heck is going on Mean Gene! Ah man...Well you know something Mean Gene, I've been screwed before but this was a real steal. I had my shoulders up mean gene, I had my shoulders up at two. I heard the count man the fans saw it, all my little Hulksters know it that I kicked out at two! I kicked out at two! Gene: Well Hulk I'm sure we can get someone to review footage from the match, but the referee did make the three count and awarded your opponent the championship. Hulk: I want a rematch, I want a chance to meet with Andre the Giant again I want the Million Dollar Man I want my title back! I promise you Hulksters, I promise that when it's all over, I will slam that two-faced giant to the ends of the earth and take back my World title from the Multi-Million Dollar Man! Gene: I'm sure you'll get your shot soon! Hulk: This was a steal! Jack Tunney I hope you're listening you have to do something man! (leaves the dressing room) Vince: (on commentary) I can't believe it Hulk Hogan was clearly robbed this night I bet the referee was paid big money to help Andre win the match. Jesse: Like you heard Gene Okerlund, the referee counted to three and that's final, this ain't football with instant replays, this is professional wrestling. Vince: Hopefully we'll get more information in the coming weeks and a statement from WWF President Jack Tunney. Jesse: We should celebrate we got a new World's Champion and Intercontinental Champion that's right the Million Dollar Man or should I say Million Dollar Champion.

WWF Prime Time Wrestling February 11th, 1988 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanOfficial Statement from WWF President Jack Tunney: It has come to my attention that on February the 5th, at the Main Event, WWF World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan took on Andre the Giant who was wrestling on behalf of the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase. In what is no doubt the most controversial match in history and after careful review of the videotapes of the match, Hulk Hogan's shoulders were no doubt up at the two count. However despite the mix up of referees, where clear mischief was played, we have no choice but to agree with the referee based on WWF regulation that a referee's decision is always final. Therefore Hulk Hogan is not the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion any longer.
Despite Ted Dibiase's actions in and out of the ring, the unusual terms of the contract which has never been done before has forced me to take action to implement new rules and regulations to ensure that a title can only change hands by the challenger winning by pinfall or submission. There will not be anymore chances of relinquishing a title to another as WWF regulations did not specify such rulings in the past. Since a referee's decision is final we have no choice but to allow the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase to remain as the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion and he alone must continue to defend that title. As for Hulk Hogan a match for the World title is being set up for Saturday Night's Main Event on March 12th. Further details will be provided in the coming weeks.
On the other hand, since Ted Dibiase is officially the World title holder, he cannot continue on as an Intercontinental Champion due to rigorous scheduling and WWF regulations. Therefore we will officially strip Ted Dibiase of the Intercontinental Championship and at Wrestlemania IV on March 27th at Trump Plaza, a tournament will be held to determine who will be the Undisputed Intercontinental Champion. Further details will be provided in the coming weeks, thank you.Gorilla: Well there you have it folks Ted Dibiase is the WWF World Heavyweight Champion, however unfair this is, he must defend that title and boy oh boy will the Hulkster be ready for him at Saturday Night's Main Event unless he loses that title before the event. Heenan: O come on you make it sound like Dibiase is someone anyone can beat, he has not once lost a match by pinfall or submission, he's undefeated in this regard. Besides he has both Andre the Giant and Virgil by his side and to top it off soon Miss Elizabeth will be joining up with him just watch. Gorilla: Speaking of Miss Elizabeth, Randy Savage's condition is better and he'll be ready for action shortly. However I do believe he'll be wanting a shot at championship gold soon. Matches:Hillbilly Jim def. The One Man Gang (w/Slick) via Countout. The Wild Animals (Steele & Sika) def. jobbers via submissionThe Ultimate Warrior def. Hercules (w/Heenan) via DQ.
