WWF Prime Time Wrestling February 22nd, 1988 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanMean Gene interview with Hulk Hogan: Gene: It's been a difficult time for you these past few weeks ever since you were cheated out of the World Heavyweight Championship and now the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase is the Champion of the World. Hogan: Of course it's been a hard time Mean Gene, twin referees, payoffs and controversy is spilled over my so-called title loss man, I was screwed but I'm not losing sleep because of Ted Dibiase man...I'm losing sleep over how a WWF President could make such a decision brother to strip me of the World title! Gene: As much as I agree that it was filled with controversy, Jack Tunney is firm in his decision and has allowed you to get back your title at Saturday Night's Main Event. Hogan: It's not about the World title anymore man, it's more than that it's about justice and revenge man, I Andre the Giant you sell out, you couldn't beat me and you let that referee cheat to win a match. Think about it Andre, your whole sixteen year legacy down the drain brother. All that you've achieve, your World title reign, all gone for what? A few dirty dollars man. And that's what I want man, I want a match with you Andre, I want to go head to head to teach you a thing or two, like to taught me all those years ago, about what this is all about. Gorilla: Well folks there is talk about a Hulk vs. Andre III match up for Wrestlemania IV. Of course Hulk Hogan could in fact win the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event on March 12th, that could change things around with Andre the Giant getting a shot for the World title if that's the case. Heenan: Even if Hulk Hogan wins back the title, he's go no chance against Andre, it'll be the shortest reign ever. He should just give it up now. Gorilla: As for the WWF World Heavyweight Champion the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase will definitely be at Wrestlemania IV, and Dibiase has in fact accepted a challenge from the Macho Man Randy Savage in a match. Heenan: Now that'll be something, but knowing Ted Dibiase who might I had has beaten the Macho Man before, he'll walk out the victor and I have no doubt about it. Gorilla: We'll be letting everyone know more about Wrestlemania IV in the weeks leading to the event. It's going to be a big one.

WWF Prime Time Wrestling March 7th, 1989 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanGorilla: Folks negotiations are underway and Hulk vs. Andre III is definitely going to happen, that's right Hulk Hogan will take on Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania IV and more details about the match will be available soon. Heenan: This is going to be the big one, by the record books and I mean that loosly, Hulk Hogan had the first match won, Andre the Giant won the second confrontation and now we'll finally see just who will come out as the victor the third and perhaps final battle between these two. This is Ali vs. Frazier III, this is bigger than the Main Event and Wrestlemania III combined. Gorilla: Not only that it could be for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, that is if the current champion the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase loses the title this Saturday and he had this to say... Ted Dibiase promo: So the Macho Man Randy Savage wants a match at Wrestlemania IV, well I'm definitely for it and I'm also for defending my WWF World Heavyweight Championship, because not only will I defend my World title at Saturday Night's Main Event up against Hulk Hogan, as a generous man I will place the World title on the line at Wrestlemania IV. However I don't just want any match with you Randy Savage, because at Wrestlemania I want you to put the managerial services of Miss Elizabeth on the line as well because after I'm done beating you for the one two three, I'll have the gold and the girl and the whole world will agree that everyone's got a price for the Million Dollar Man.Matches:Hercules (w/Heenan) def. Saturday Night's Main Event March 12th, 1988 Nashville Municipal Auditorium, Tennessee Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" VenturaVince announces that The Main Event got over 37 Million Viewers (33 Million originally) on NBC. Brutus Beefcake def. Greg Valentine (w/Jimmy Hart)___________________________________________ Miss Elizabeth interview with Mean Gene: Gene: I'm here at this time with the manager of the Macho Man Randy Savage, the lovely Elizabeth and Elizabeth I've been meaning to ask you about how you feel about tonight's big match between Randy Savage taking on the One Man Gang? Liz: It'll be hard, it'll be tough, but the Macho Man is more than ready. Gene: That's great to hear of course Randy Savage is preparing for his match as we speak, but I got to know how he's feeling about Wrestlemania IV, where he will be taking on the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, and for all we know it could even be for the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship. Liz: Well first of all I want to wish Hulk Hogan the best of luck in his title match, but title or no title, Randy wants this match with Mr. Dibiase... Suddenly a flower delivery guy asks for Elizabeth and hands it over. They look over an envelope and it reads from the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, "hope you reconsider my offer for becoming my valet" and in it is a cheque.Gene: Wait is that...whoa that's a cheque for $100,000 my goodness what is this for? Liz: (shakes head) I can't take this (hands over the flowers to Gene). Gene: It's definitely a lot of money. It says on this card here that it's an advance for Wrestlemania IV...wow. Randy: (comes in) What is this...what is going on here? Gene: Well these flowers came in umm... Randy: Flowers hmmm you got an admirer there Gene? Gene: Umm no actually... Randy: You're probably wondering if I'm ready I'm ready more than ever because the One Man Gang is going to be feeling a bit of the Madness ya! I'm going to go in to beat the big man! (leaves with Liz) Gene: Back to you Vince! ___________________________________________ Randy "Macho Man" Savage (w/Elizabeth) def. One Man Gang (w/Slick) via pinfall.
Randy managed to clothesline Gang from the top rope and land the elbow drop finisher for the pin and win. Vince calls it a big win. Jesse downplays it as a fluke, just like the Flukster who won't win the World title tonight. ___________________________________________ Hulk Hogan interview with Mean Gene (Dibiase, Andre and Virgil are one their way out to the ring): Gene: I'm here at this time with the one and only Hulk Hogan, Hulk Hogan you are about to face off against the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase and here is your chance to reclaim for a third time the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Hogan: That's right Mean Gene baby, I got all my little Hulksters by my side, I got the whole world watching this one, because tonight Ted Dibiase's going to lose what he loves the most and that's a lot of money man. He spent a whole lot to get it and will surely lose it. Sure he's never been pinned, never submitted, but that doesn't matter because tonight I will prove that he can be beaten with the training and prayers and vitamins and everything we stand for Multi-Million Dollar Man, you're done for brother! Gene: Hulk Hogan if you win the Heavyweight Championship of the World that means that at Wrestlemania IV, you'll have to once again defend that title against the eighth-wonder of the World, Andre the Giant who just happens to be by the side of Ted Dibiase tonight. Hogan: It won't matter Mean Gene, because it'll take more than giants to bring me down man and after I win the title tonight, we'll be flying to Trump Plaza and Andre you better be ready brother because once and for all that the controversial three count at Wrestlemania III will be put to rest and so wha'cha gonna do when the largest arms in the world wins back the championship belt once again (poses)! ___________________________________________ Ted Dibiase (w/Virgil and Andre the Giant) (c) vs. Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Heavyweight ChampionshipNote: This match was supposed to actually happen as it was announced the night after The Main Event, but Ted Dibiase was replaced with Harley Race and because of the table incident, Race suffered a near career ending injury that left him out for almost a year. Since that match doesn't happen in this timeline, Race can still continue on till WMIV.Hulk Hogan comes out to a big pop with Dibiase waiting in the ring. Hogan locks up with Dibiase. Dibaise gets a few holds, while Hogan reverses them and he gets a chinlock till they both hit the ropes and Hogan lands a massive clothesline. Hogan bodyslams Dibiase and bodyslams him a second time. Hogan gets the fans riled up. Dibiase regroups with Andre and Virgil. He gets back in and counters Hogan as he lands punches and kicks and goes for Hogan's knees. Dibiase lands a neckbreaker and goes for the pin to two. Dibiase bodyslams Hogan and climbs the second rope to the top for a knee drop. Dibiase gets a chinlock till Hogan starts to Hulk up and tosses Dibiase on the outside. Hogan points at Andre as Andre invites Hogan to come outside. Jesse calls Hulk a coward. Dibiase gets back in and they lock up, Hogan whips Dibiase to the drops for a hip toss and two elbow drops. Hogan whips Dibiase to a corner for the clothesline and ten punch from the top. Dibiase is dazed and falls flat on his face on the mat. Hogan gets Dibiase up for a bearhug, but Dibiase elbows Hogan and goes for the Million Dollar Dream. Hogan is outcold as he struggles to get to the ropes. Hogan is down, but he manages to get to a rope. Ted Dibiase doesn't let go of the hold and Vince says he probably wants the DQ and that Dibiase is a coward. Dibiase continues the hold till Hogan is finally outcold. The referee forcibly breaks the hold and Dibiase is arguing with the ref. Suddenly Hogan starts to Hulk up and his on his knees. Dibiase can't believe it and lands a punch. Hogan is up, Dibiase punches till Hogan blocks and lands the three punch and the big boot. Hogan goes for the legdrop, but Andre hangs onto Hogan's legs and drags him to the outside. Hogan manages to rake Andre's eyes and punch out Virgil. He gets back in the ring till Dibiase starts to land punches but Hogan is hulking up again and lands a punch on Dibiase as he falls down flat on the mat. Hogan bodyslams him and goes for a legdrop again, but Virgil on the outside gets in the ring. Hogan notices and knocks him out. Hogan lands the legdrop and goes for the pin, but Andre is already in the ring and he grabs Hogan's hair breaking the pinfall and the referee calls for the bell. Winner: Hulk Hogan via DQ. Ted Dibiase retains the WWF World title.Andre headbutts Hogan and starts to choke him out. Vince says that Hogan was cheated once again. Dibiase starts to attack Hogan and Virgil also gets a few cheap shots in. Suddenly Randy Savage runs out to a massive pop. Randy has the flowers in his hands that was given to Elizabeth and runs in and punches out Virgil and Dibiase and even stuffs the flowers in Dibiase's mouth. Andre pushes Hogan aside to the mat. Randy is watching in fear of the awesome size of Andre as their face to face. Randy however jumps on top of Andre as the fans are going wild. Randy lands several punches, but Andre manages to push him out of the ring. Andre steps on Hogan's back till Randy gets a chair and finally Andre leaves the ring. Randy tosses the chair on the mat to check up on Hogan. Hogan is finally up and their face to face. Randy has his hand out and Hogan shakes it as Vince reminds everyone that the Mega Powers are back and they'll need to be ready for Wrestlemania IV. ___________________________________________ Strike Force (c) def. The Killer Bees via pinfall to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships. The tag team champions shook hands with the Killer Bees in this friendly match up. Martel got the crossbody pin over Blair. Man you're still doing this diary, I really love what you've been doing, I think putting Dibiase in as World Champion is smart. Because Dibiase should've stayed World Champion, no offense and no disrespect to the WrestleMania 4 Tournament, but I do think Dibiase could've not been stripped of the championship and he should've stayed champion until losing the belt to Savage. That's my opinion on it, but I'm real excited to see what you're going to do for WrestleMania 4. And I need help on my diary getting commented on, it's my WWF 1993-1996 Diary, and would you mind if you looked at my diary and saw it please as a little plug.

WWF Prime Time Wrestling March 14th, 1988 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanOfficial Statement of WWF President Jack Tunney: It has come to my attention that at Saturday Night's Main Event, the WWF World Heavyweight Championship match between Ted Dibiase and Hulk Hogan resulted in a disqualification when Andre the Giant clearly interfered to ensure that Dibiase would not lose the World title. With all the controversies and actions taken by Ted Dibiase and Andre the Giant in the weeks prior, I have decided to give Hulk Hogan a chance once more to regain the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania IV in a World Championship Challenge. This challenge will be as follows:
Hulk vs. Andre III: Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania IV for a shot for the WWF Championship in the Main Event of Wrestlemania IV.
If Hulk Hogan or Andre the Giant win, they'll get a shot at Championship gold the same night. At the same time the first World title match at Wrestlemania IV will also be taken place as follows:
Ted Dibiase (c) vs. Randy "Macho Man" Savage (w/Elizabeth) for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship AND for the Managerial Services of Miss Elizabeth.

Heenan: When Andre the Giant defeats Hulk Hogan and he will, and after Ted Dibiase retains his title, I have a feeling that Andre will forfeit the Main Event match. Dibiase has no worries at all he should look at this as an opportunity. Gorilla: And what if Hulk Hogan wins? Or even Randy Savage? Heenan: We'll just have to see about that, but my money is on Andre. Gorilla: Of course it would be. Well folks Miss Elizabeth has decided to take the $100,000 cheque that was offered as a cash advance for the World title match at Wrestlemania IV and although one could say there are doubts, shes done the most wonderful thing Brain... Heenan: Spend it right? I'm glad she's realizing that Dibiase is going to win the match... Gorilla: The lovely Elizabeth has decided to cash in $100,000 and has donated it for a charity event at Wrestlemania IV. WWF Prime Time Wrestling March 21st, 1988 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanTed Dibiase promo: Well well well, President Jack Tunney of the WWF wants to give me a hard time keeping my belt, but he keeps forgetting who I am and what I'm about and that everyone's got a price. So Hulk Hogan if you think you're going to beat Andre, you're in for a treat and even if you could try, it won't matter. The Million Dollar Man will make sure you won't make it to the main event and as for you Randy Savage, it won't matter Macho Man, it won't matter what you'll do because guess what, I'll have Andre the Giant by my side to watch my back and you won't even stand a chance in the ring with me. I've beaten you before so I consider it a bye in the World Championship Challenge (laughs)...
And as for you Miss Elizabeth, charity? So you decided to take the money I gave you and give it to charity? Fair enough, but like any transaction I've got an insurance policy in my man Virgil who'll be in your so-called Charity Battle Royal. Wrestlemania IV
PART 2 of 3Hulk Hogan promo with Mean Gene: Gene: It's been tough the last two months getting used to trying not to say World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion beside this man and now tonight, you could be on your way to Championship glory. Hulk: Fee Fie Foe Fum Andre the Giant, you seem to forget fairy tales man, the bigger they are, the harder they fall and Andre, you aren't just meeting your fate because today man, at Wrestlemania IV, we're going to wipe the floors off of speculation and controversy, we're going to put an end to all the questions once and for all. See tonight, as you're fresh as a daisy, with the whole world watching, I'm gonna prove that I can beat you. Oh yeah Andre I know and my Hulkamaniacs know that I can beat you! Gene: Millions of Hulkamaniacs from around the world are watching this one Hulk, the pressure is high and the wager oh my! Hulk: Oh yes Mean Gene, for one long year I have seen the fear in all those little Hulkamaniacs, even as I arrive here at Atlantic City, I see the fear all over the place and they know we've been through this road before. But when I get Andre in clinched up in the launch position (Gene shouts whoa!), when I slam him through the Trump Plaza brother! From New York, down to Tampa, Florida the fault lines are gonna break off! And as Andre falls into the ocean, as I hold on to the World Wrestling Federation Championship, so will Donald Trump man and all the Hulkamaniacs! But as Donald Trump hangs on top of the Trump Plaza, with his family holding on to him, as they sink to the bottom of the sea, Thank God Donald Trump's a Hulkamaniac! He'll know enough to let go of his material posessions, hang on to the wife and kids, dog paddle all the way to safety! But Donald, if something happens, if you run outta gas, and all those Hulkamaniacs too, just hang on to the largest back in the world and I'll dog paddle us and backstroke all of us to safety! Ted: Andre is a busy man and I'm not concerned about that at all, but as for the Macho Man he should be shaking in his boots right now because he's going to pay, his woman is going to pay by being my valet because I paid big money for her and I get what I want and I will get her and if not...ha well you'll just have to see.
