Daniel Bryan retorted to a statement made by the Miz on talking smack this past Tuesday and said it's not that he can't wrestle, but they won't let him. Then said we'll see what happens in a year and a half. There is allegedly more behind this statement than thought. Apparently Bryan really wants to wrestle again once his contract is up, feeling that he was forced to retire very quickly. He is actively going to doctors and is being tested on a regular basis. www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2017/0309/623967/more-on-daniel-bryan-returning-to-the-ring-when-his-wwe-contract/

Is anyone actually shocked?

I get his passion is wrestling, and it kills him to not be able to do it, but now that he and Brie are having a kid, he's got to look at the bigger picture. If there really is a higher then usual health risk, is it really worth it?

He has a wife and kid to think about now, he can't take the risk. Imagine if he wrestled again and got seriously messed up, or even worse - killed. I love Bryan as an in-ring performer, but it's done with - it has to be.

He has a family now so with his neck being the way it is it's not worth the risk.

Dude wants to die in the ring. I'll never understand, why he's so hell bent on risking his life for a few matches and on a lesser brand than say WrestleMania.

He should be worried about being a husband and a father than dying in the ring at some indy fed in front of 200 fans who are screaming "Yes!" to him.

He's the next Dynamite Kid probably.

I'm probably in the minority here, but the risk probably isn't as high as WWE's standards.
If Bryan can go out there and wrestle a less-risky style and more technical, he can probably still wrestle.

His stance will most likely change when Brie finally has the baby.

Does he want to end up in a wheelchair?

He has a passion for something that most people don't understand. Good for him. I hope he is able to fulfill his dream.

Not worth it IMO. He's had one of the greatest WM moments in the 33 years of the event. So walk away while you can.
Not to mention he's got a hot wife and a child on the way. You know, real world priorities.

If he's legitimately being cleared by everyone but WWE then I'm down. I just hope he knows what he's doing.

Nothing for him to prove. Had one of the greatest mania moments ever. Plus with a kid on the way I wouldn't risk it. I'm guessing if he does wrestle it would be for ROH?

I would think that loving your wife and your child and wanting to live for them would be a bigger priority than having a love to wrestle still. He has nothing left to prove, and I get his career was cut short, but his family should come first over anything now.

Wherever he goes, he's going to get a hero's welcome. I can't wait to see his return.
