Did you completely enjoy the product from 2001(post wcw purchase) until this point? To me wwe has never been the same since killing the competition, but in the words of Conrad Thompson "what say you?"

There was definitely a lot bad stuff from those years but for the most part I was still invested in the product. For instance during the RA era Raw still had J.R and King on commentary. That alone made me tune into the show.
WWE will definitely not be the same again that's for sure. Not even close.

Next do No Mercy 2003. Curious to see what you think of the feud that almost killed my interest in wwe- Vince vs Stephanie.

To this day I have never checked that match out and I'd feel like a hypocrite if I did.

No Mercy 2003
Your hosts-Michael Cole and Taz
Rey Mysterio vs Tajiri for the WWE Cruiserweight Title- Very good opener here as was the norm in the division during these days. Tajiri busts out the Tarantula in always a cool looking spot. Tajiri with the win after a ''fan'' distracts Rey allowing the champ to hit the buzzsaw kick for the pin.
A-Train vs Chris Benoit- David vs Goliath match here and for the most part it worked. Scary looking part near the end where Train drops Benoit head first on to a chair. Nasty looking spot to say the least. Benoit with the win after tapping Train out with the sharpshooter.
Matt Hardy vs Zack Gowen- Gowen was the one legged wrestler who had a brief run during this year feuding with the likes of Vince Mcmahon and Brock Lesnar. This would be pretty much be his last hurrah as he was gone by early 2004. Gowen with the win after a nice looking moonsault in one of his very few wins he had in the WWE.
APA vs Basham Brothers-The Bashams had a ''dominatrix'' gimmick with Shaniqua as their manager. Yeah you could tell the tag team scene was on a downslide during this time. Bashams with the win after Danny hits Bradshaw with a club for the win. Where's Big Boss Man when you need em?
Vince McMahon vs Stephanie McMahon- Yep this really happened humanoids. I'm not surprised in the slightest with all the crazy angles Vince pulled off during the TV-14 days. Vince with the win after Linda McMahon throws in the towel for her daughter. This was 10 minutes of torture. Oh yeah you could tell Vince was on the juice here. Moving on...
Kurt Angle vs John Cena- Angle was his usual awesome self here. You could tell they were grooming Cena for the main event scene here as he looked like a star. Angle with the win after locking in the ankle lock submission. Pretty good here after the previous abomination of a match.
Eddie Guerreo vs Big Show for the WWE US Title- Another David vs Goliath match here. Eddie was over like rover here so it's not surprised he would win the top belt by early 2004. Latino Heat tried everything on the giant but in the end Big Show wins after a chokeslam to win his first US title. Decent outing.
Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title in a ''chain on a pole match''- Decent power man match here but it went wayyyyyy to long. On top of that the chain wasn't even used until the very end. Brock retains after Vince( like we really need to see him more of him on this night)crotches Taker on the ropes allowing Brock to hit em with the chain and F5 for the win. This would lead to Taker vs Vince the following month in a buried alive match. Vince really did dominate storylines in 2003 didn't he?
Final thoughts- There is some good stuff here but the bad really outweighs the good. The 2 top promoted matches were the battle of father/daughter and the WWE Title match and both undelivered big time. With that being said this event gets a thumbs down. Poor Baltimore gets another bad one.Verdict-Easy Skip
Until next time...Stay Classic Humanoids.

Great review. When used sparingly , the McMahon’s could really enhance a show. But unfortunately egomania was running wild at this period. No way did we need to see a match between Vince and his daughter.
If they really needed to be seen here, they could have thrown their respective weights behind two superstars and given them a rub, but instead ate up 10 minutes of PPV time. One of the many reasons my interest in wrestling at that time was declining fast.

Only good thing about the feud was how HOT Stephanie looked during this time. To quote Ron Simmons-DAMN!

In 2002 Brock and Taker had an awesome hell in a cell match. A year later they have a biker chain match??? Big step down! Yeah the McMahons did hog tv time in 2003 and by then seeing them on tv was tiresome! Hell after they made the invasion angle about them, they became tiresome. The Kane vs Shane feud sucked imo. Kane gives Linda McMahon the tombstone and she puts him on house arrest, but he is still in the arena competing lol! Shane drop kicks him in a dumpster filled with flames and a week later Kane comes back looking fine. I hated 2003 wwe!

My favourite of all time is 92 but not sure how you’d feel sitting through Heenan excellent commentary on the rumble match!!!
Seriously though that was the event that got me hooked on wrestling and would be great to see your opinion on it.

The 92 rumbles greatness will NEVER be replicated - everything aligned for that event. By far one of the best events ever - as Gorilla would say "it was a happening!!"
