Why the slow burning heel turn on Mattel?
For the first five or six years, they could do no wrong.
Now, more than ever, everyone assumes Hasbro can do a better job.
These STILL are THE best wrestling action figures ever created, distribution issues aside.
Tis the holiday season of giving. Let us rejoice and spread goodwill among the men and women of Mattel...

I think that there are definitely some flaws with Mattel that are little aggravating, but I am in love with Mattel's WWE line. So I agree with you

Because of the all the QC errors for the past couple of years
but guess what? pretty much every company has QC Errors, I've bought figures for 200 dollars that have QC errors changing companys at this point, isn't going to do anything but cost collector's money

I'll turn baby face the day Mattel makes Dino Bravo. Until then I'll continue as a heel.

Some shoddy distribution and qc are main complaints but no company can be perfect; overall I think they make the best wrestling figures ever so its still a win

because the cost of these things is going up and the quality is going way down. figures are breaking left and right, paint apps are horrible, the "face" painting on these true FX is getting messed up, they continue to use the wrong parts all over the place for figures, they are making body parts with 2 different skin colors. its been going on for years but you can only do it so long without changing before people start to notice

Guys! The signs are ALL THERE! Mattel is losing the license! I know because...well I just know!

I don't hate Mattel, they're a business trying to make money and we don't know what goes on behind the scenes.
What I hate as a collector is:
The sublines The variants The exclusives The UK basically getting nothing anymore.
My dream would be going back to JUST waves of Elites, 6 figures each wave, a mixture of current and flashback. No exclusives or variants.
2018 has hurt my interest, its hurt my collection but its helped my wallet. (I've bought 3 figures since June)
I am not importing or paying £40 - £50 quid for a lump of plastic shaped like Brian Kendrick, Drew McIntyre, Harley Race or Alundra Blayze. If they were £20 online or in a shop I would buy them instantly.

i don't think people are "hating" there trying to push the product in a better direction. not everything is so black and white. We are here because we love the product and are passionate about our collections from Mattel.

I'm with ya, sir. Let's enjoy the little things that take our minds away from how hectic life can be.
It could be jakks. It could be beanie babies lol. Mattel does a fantastic job. And I enjoy all they put in for us as fans.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Standard operating procedure dictates a peak standard of expectations, to be raised whenever mass output and mass expectation fall within range of potential parity.

They’re just cutting corners more unfortunately yep. The QC going down the toilet and basics losing articulation. The new face printing thing seems to be hit or miss at the moment too. Mattel have made some great figures for us and still are. But their standards for some figures are slipping unfortunately.

I have no problem with Mattel....could be wayyy worse Are you kidding me ? Yeah it could be worse the figures could fall apart as soon as you take them out of the box and they could have a no refund/return policy. The quality has gone way down, the distribution has gotten even worse. They have all these exclusives that your lucky to find in store (flashback series 3). If i lived in the u.k. i would have given up years ago cause they have been pretty much abandoned. If you actually find new figures in a store its like your birthday and christmas combined because it happens so rarely. Yeah i think its time for a freaking change.

Im in the UK and I have no idea how I’m going to get that mitb Carmella for less than £50. Ridiculous. Mattel are poor with their distribution, that’s arguably their biggest failing.

Hasbro wouldn’t treat the line any better. Their distribution with Marvek Legends and Star Wars is a nightmare. I don’t want to see Hasbro take a money juggernaught like WWE and turn it into what they have with star wars.

i just hate all the different ways legends have to be released. eilte, tnf, hof, hoc, dm, eg, exclusives, retrofest, spotlight, etc, etc. Geez, just a straight legends or flashback line please!

My main beef with Mattel is distribution which is not necessarily their fault. At least not the ones in charge of social media presence.
QC issues are part and parcel for even premium figures so as much as they annoy me, water off my back.
