I was thinking the other day- I keep up with Mattel and WWE figures so much, almost more than I do the actual WWE product itself. I also don't have cable and only have the network so that may be a contributing factor. Does anyone else feel this way?

Kind of, because the actual wrestling now reminds me of the reason I stopped watching in the late 90s early 2000s, the attitude era was why I stopped watching, and currently I feel its going that way, so I dont really watch

I watched wrestling from 1985 until early 2000 and I haven’t watched since except the first three years of wwe network when I basically rewatched everything from those years. I pay absolutely zero attention to wwe. Just flashback action figures for me

I have almost zero interest in the actual product. I watch NXT pretty regularly, and watching main roster PPV's. But I have zero interest in the weekly show. I gave it a chance, but the seizure inducing camera cuts, hokey scripted promos, and lack of storyline consistency or character development isn't worth my time. I read recaps online and the pre-match video packages on PPV's are more than enough story to get caught up.
I mostly collect NXT and flashback figures, but I do have main roster figures of some of my favorites. So yeah, I probably do pay way more attention to the figures than the actual wrestling product (though I do watch a lot of non-WWE wrestling).

I mainly keep up through the recap videos unless it's a go home show to one of the Big 4 or otherwise special event. NXT is the sole exception.
Doesn't affect my collecting though.

I only collect flashbacks. I actually haven't watched wrestling in years.

I do. I don't have to so I just watch PPVs and we have Hulu now so I watched the last 3 weeks of smackdown.

I haven’t watched a full RAW in 15 years. I’d watched Seinfeld reruns before the current stale product. Live the figs tho!

100% man!
But i guarantee you we the peeps that feel the same are the 'older kind', keeping the Golden Era fans satisfied (to some extent)

So much product I just stopped trying to keep up. Have only Network and Hulu to watch. Watch Takeovers with great interest and monthly ppvs. Facebook recaps are aplenty on Mondays and Tuesdays...

I have definitely come to enjoy WWE figure collecting lately more than watching the actual WWE tv product.

I only watch the big PPVs, other than that it's figures and WWE 2K for me.
