Bad News Brown
This mean and tough individual would make his way onto the WWF scene in early 1988. A no nonsense type of dude as he would come out to no theme music and right away would jump his opponent before the announcer could finish introductions. He would then finish them off with his signature ''Ghetto Blaster'' which was a enzuigiri to the back of the head. His first big moment would come at WM IV in the opening battle royal in which in the end he would prevail after double crossing Bret Hart with him winning the big trophy in the process.Post match however Bret would get his revenge by breaking the trophy with him turning face in the process.Gorilla''Dont ever cross the Htiman!''. Following this a new feud was born with it also involving Bret's partner Anvil Neidhart with the two facing off against BNB on the house show circuit that Spring. His next PPV would come at the first SSlam at MSG in which he would defeat Ken Patera in short fashion.
That Fall at SSeries he would appear on team Honky Tonk Man as they battled Team Warrior. During the match Greg Valentine would accidently strike the Harlem native with him taking a walk in the process. Something we would see again the following year. Really fit his character to a tee as a loner. It was also around this time he would set his eyes on the WWF Title and Randy Savage with the two facing off on house shows in NY,Philly Boston etc. with BNB coming up short in getting the gold. This brief feud would end in early 89 as by that point the Mega Powers were almost at the breaking point. At WM V he would face Jim Duggan in a filler match that would end in a double DQ.For the remainder of the year he was just another heel on the roster doing nothing of note. This would change at the start of a new decade....
At the Rumble, he would be eliminated by Roddy Piper with him then heaving Hot Rod over as well. The two would brawl to the back and with this we would have BNBs most infamous feud in his WWF run here. At WM VI in Skydome the feud would climax with Piper coming down with his half his body white with the other half painted black. The match would end in a double countout with both guys just brawling it out. Piper even used a MJ glove at one point for reasons. The feud was teased to go past this match but it was scrapped right after. His last feud would come that Summer against Jake Roberts. A feud that would involve sewer rats of all things. They would face off at SSlam in Philly with the Big Boss Man as ref with Jake picking up the win by DQ with the sewer rats teased to be shown but in the end werent.Pointless to say the least.Definitely Jake's weakest feud of his WWF tenure. Following this BNB would leave the WWF over issues with Vince and management and with that we have the reached the end.
Overall...I like em in Stampede and I enjoyed his run here in the Federation for the most part.Thought he played the tough guy loner to a tee. Definitely a character ahead of its time.
