The money man was great. I can't imagine anyone playing it better. He had a great run in the company, usually at the top of the card. Also, the million $ belt was amazing.

He was always one of my favorites and I’d have to say I can’t remember a match I routed against him. (Maybe a match or two when he was in Money inc..) One of my favorite things was when he would stick a hundred dollar bill in the opponents mouth after he beat himAlways got a kick out of Bobby/Jesse saying something along the lines of ''Well at least he gets to go out to a nice dinner''

Million Dollar Man is quite possibly the greatest heel gimmick of all time. The evil, rich guy has always been often imitated but never duplicated. It was obvious Vince McMahon created the gimmick and based it on himself.

MDM was one of those great all round gimmicks. There have been several threads about who never held the big belt, but should have. I would say Dibiase was one wrestler that never needed the Heavyweight belt as he was over enough already. A great talent who used his gimmick to the fullest to draw heat.
I loved the storyline with Razor Ramon that led to their SSlam 93 match. Was also a fan of Money INC.
Embarrassingly so, when I first got in to wrestling, I gave myself the nickname “The Million Dollar Scot” (I’m from Scotland) and even made a key ring in technical subjects at school with the moniker on it. Thankfully, it never caught on (and might explain why I used to get beaten up ha ha).
Thanks for the review Brain.
Can I vote for Well Dunn/ Southern Rockers next?

A fantastic idea for a thread. Love that it covers all gimmicks, not just the popular ones!
3 years old Brain, well done! And speaking of Well Dunn…… 😁

Well Dunn
This bow tie wearing team consisting of Timothy Well and Steven Dunn debuted in the Federation during the Summer of 93 flanked by Harvey Wippleman. As always they would have a strong beginning by defeating ham n eggers on Superstars and Challenge but when they would face teams like Smokin' Gunns, MOM etc they would end up with the losing share of the money. They would challenge for the SMW belts late in the year on All American against champs RNR Express but in the end would fail to win the gold.In early 94 they would jump over to SMW to feud with the Thrillseekers in a short feud but beyond that not much else.Back to the WWF scene that Spring they would try their hand in taking the belts from newly turned babyface Headshrinkers but would come up short in that endeavor. It was during this time in camp Wippleman in which Adam Bomb would break away and turn babyface with him feuding with Kwang which would lead to a six man tag that Summer on Superstars with Bomb teaming with the Gunns to face Kwang and Well Dunn. A losing effort would follow. By early 95 the team would be on their last legs as they would partake in the tag title tournament but would lose to eventual winners Bob Holly and the 123 Kid. Their only PPV appearance would come as participants in the Rumble that year but both wouldnt last long at all in the match.IIRC Tim Well was in there for like 30 seconds tops.Following this they would continue to be jobbers pretty much until departing the company that Spring. Overall...Not a bad team work rate wise but a terrible gimmick. I always thought Cornette wouldve been better suited as their manager than Wippleman. But no doubt when I think of New Gen teams this is one of the teams that comes to mind first. They fit the zany over the top feel of the era for sure. What are your memories of Well Dunn? Share them below!

Liked them in the ring and would have been great to have seen them at least trade the belts with the Rock and Roll express. Agree that Cornett would have been a much better fit. Wippleman always struck me as a loser and did very little for his charges.
Struggling to think of who the top heel teams were at this time, but would have liked to have seen WD get a couple of high profile wins to give the impression they were a threat. It’s the Beverly Brothers all over again. A talented team that no one took seriously.
Thanks for the review Brain

I always thought Well Dunn in the WWF felt a little redundant. They were a poor man's version of the Heavenly Bodies, but the WWF already had the actual Heavenly Bodies on the roster at the same time. They were better used in WCW as Rex King and Steve Doll, which is one of the coolest real names for a wrestler, LOL.

There is a funny moment during the 1995 Royal Rumble match where Timothy Well comes out and gets a HUGE pop. It was really confusing because these guys were at the bottom of the totem pole - saying a lot when you look at the WWF roster in early '95 - so to hear one of them get this big reaction was the craziest thing. Turns out the fans were reacting to the British Bulldog eliminating Owen Hart which happened off screen for some reason. In a way, finding this out was kind of a bummer as part of me just wanted to believe that Timothy Well had this massive following in Tampa that most people were unaware of.
As for the Well Dunn team in general, they didn't do much for me. They felt like a dollar store version of the Heavenly Bodies who weren't exactly on top of the WWF tag team scene themselves. Their whole gigolo gimmick was lame with the bowties and the cheesy singlets that made it look like they were wearing g-strings might be up there with some of the worst pro wrestling attires of all-time.
