Finishers mean nothing. Yay! They haven’t since 2013 Sad but true. I'm old enough to remember when you didn't kick out of Hogan's leg drop or Jake's DDT. Nowadays you need a shotgun blast to the face to put someone down. |

Wow! I am a huge fan of both guys, but I admit I was hoping Black would get his title back. That being said, that match was great. Both men looked good.

Finishers mean nothing. Yay! That’s wrestling now. Name one company that protects finishers. And don’t say New Japan because the ONLY one with a protected finisher is Omega. People kick out of finishers on big shows all the time. I didn't say it was solely a problem of NXT. It bugs me when I see it on any wrestling show. You can tell a good story in a match without each wrestler hitting a half dozen devastating moves including their finisher that their opponent miraculously kicks out of. Anyway, I'm old and crotchety. Wrestling ain't gonna change for me so I'll have to get used to false finish fests. |

Wow, Gargano and Ciampa together as heels is gonna be sweet.... or this is a big story line of Gargano setting up Ciampa with having him trust him and then he will turn on Ciampa and take the NXT Title off of him.
Either way, I am okay with it!

After Takeover went off the air Dream, Adam Cole, and Ricochet all put in their claims for the belt and Gargano and Black got involved as well. I am sure they will share footage on NXT tv this week but they have a lot of challengers lined up on the way to Mania Takeover

That is one thing I love with NXT, they lay groundwork in many different directions to go. Them stating in interviews several times that they are best friends and have been best friends for over a decade develops the story when they have to fight. It’s the little things they do that are amazing. Like Garganos little side glance at the title as the show was fading to Black tonight. |
