Also I’d love to see RSC exclusive series 2. How about the Bloodline? Usos Roman/solo or Sami or heyman

You would think attitude era is the next step now.. I'm still convinced Heenan will come! Still lots of gaps before the attitude era but the attitude will certainly be fun! DX Ministry of Darkness Vince Big Show A proper Y2J Let's just hope they keep going!

I'm still hoping for guys who fit/missed the original Hasbro line and time frame. Long tights Macho King is still my #1. Sherri, Elizabeth, Heenan, heel Jake the Snake would pretty much round it out for me.
Paul Bearer is a great choice and that version of Lawler reminds me of his '93 SummerSlam feud with that. Vader definitely wasn't my top pic but he looks great, falls into that bed ems/Jakks era and a lot of people want him so glad he's included. Hoping we get some more reveals this weekend.

There's definitely enough space to do it all. That Jakks/Attitude Era is a major want for me, as well as moving into RA to get some guys like Eddie, Batista, Edge, Mysterio, JBL would be a fun one (though I really want the APA as a tag team)
If Mattel can make a Vince, I'd honestly want two one in his commentator style, one in his classic wrestling gear.
I'm hoping we get some more WCW staples too like DDP, Booker T, Scott Steiner, would be cool to see some older legends like Dusty Rhodes and Terry Funk as well.

I would love another Jake or Rick Rude. It's such a shame we are not getting Owen Hart, I remember someone saying there isn't a licence for him or something. Vince and Heenan are now the grails for me! Question? I'm in a dilemma, all of my retros are moc but hasbros are loose..I'm about to get a display but unsure about opening! Will retros hold moc value? What's the safest way to open without damage?

Overall, not a bad set. I consider Vader to be more JAKKS BCA era than Hasbro, but it’s still a cool looking figure. My only gripe is about the Lawler. I think the crown should be removable.

Will retros hold moc value? What's the safest way to open without damage? Someone posted this a while back I find it really useful www.retrofigure.com/figure/wwe-retroLooks like as of right now the only figures valued over $60 MOC are Roman, Flair, both Macho's, Diesel and JYD. I'm a loose collector but I save the cards like a good little hoarder, I try to be as careful as possible ripping the bubble off to at least not damage it too much. I'm sure you could take some kind of a fine, penknife type situation and slice under the bubble to do an even clearer job. I think we'll definitely get another Jake and Rude at some point, crazy that especially Jake never got a second Hasbro. 1994 Owen Hart is and will probably always be the #1 most needed retro unfortunately. Maybe, MAYBE some day when Triple H is well-entrenched as the head of WWE Owen's family will be more comfortable with them honoring him, but as things stand today there still feels like a very narrow possibility of this happening.

Q3 seems late? I’ll get these but I’m not blown away, I don’t get half the kick out of these as I do Zombies, both in terms of quality and talent choice. "quality" Zombie's figures are hardly the best on the market if their paintwork can't even handle minor handling, let alone long-term on shelves
meanwhile Mattel are here releasing 4 figures (with actual actions) for the price of one of Zombie's figures, so there is even less incentive for me to invest in Zombie's figures any further when other manufacturers are offering similar figures for a much more reasonable price point, and Mattel's shipping process is likely to continue to be just after their "pre-order" window expires. I bagged another Wave 2 set from Mattel after the first had arrived, and didn't pay ridiculous shipping rates, so price is a key factor now - it's a large market, and when Mattel are releasing a whole pack for $50 it's worth investing in the big boys
if at any point in the future I feel like buying a Zombie figure, I'd rather go through PWTs and get cheaper shipping (plus couple it with some other stuff) rather than pay months in advance for figures that I haven't seen the final version of, and he's unable to deliver for months on end Shipping is different for everyone but U.K. does get stung on that front with Mattel. Zombie will have to be more expensive because of the volume he makes vs the volume of Mattel, that’s obvious but for me, retro style figures are all about the continuation of and gap filling of the Hasbro line and nobody does it better than Zombie on that score, they fit perfectly, where as Mattels don’t really look anything like them and they can’t give us much or any of the talent that we didn’t get under Hasbro because they haven’t or can’t sign them to a deal. I’m not bothered about action as I don’t play with them, I’d rather Mattel spend that budget on making them look better. As for costs, U.K. collectors have to pay more than US collectors and there’s zero reason as the cost of the set doesn’t hit customs threshold in the U.K. so they can’t say it’s to cover custom charges. I’ve embraced the retros for what they are and I see them as their own thing really, which is fine and I’m happy for collectors who love them more than I do…but my motivation in this market is born out of my love for Hasbros and the nostalgia, Mattel just don’t hit that for me.

Also I’d love to see RSC exclusive series 2. How about the Bloodline? Usos Roman/solo or Sami or heyman Ugh no. I'd be fine with a wcw or even ecw heyman but going to the newer names is pretty much what killed the line off before. Think how many of the main release figures were shelf warmers = mostly the newer names. The idea of retros is surely retro wrestlers not current ones as they don't really fit in with the hasbro for for me at all. I'm sure some will want newer but I think the majority of the target audience would prefer the older names over another zayn or any current names. I know I would

I know I would People do and I respect that, I'd rather have only retro-retros than no retros at all, but I do think this could become self-defeating at a certain point. Especially now that the WWE product is on an upswing, you have modern characters who will be considered legends or who don't look that out of place in the whole mix. Roman is now a "first ballot" HOFer and a lot of people missed his original figure, the Usos would be neat, maybe Usos, Solo and Rikishi exclusive. Cody Rhodes might be the next John Cena. Several former WWE champions didn't get a figure. If they ever get around to doing women, Becky is possibly the most popular woman's wrestler of all time. I respect what everybody wants but I'll stump for modern characters whenever someone brings it up. There are dozens of us, dozens!

Personally don’t want any modern day wrestlers, I think 1986-2000 suites the retro line perfectly

DDP Eddie Rey Edge Heenan Batista Hurricane Road-Dogg King-Harley would-be-nice-to-see-some-of-those-next Love all of these, Hurricane retro would be awesome. Not a top guy but so good for the form it would be worth having, also nostalgic for me as I believe Hurricane was one of the first wrestling figures I bought with my own $$ as a kid. Oh to be 9 and cash drunk and Toys R Us again...

Best set yet for me, this is the first one where I want all four figures. My only gripe is about the Lawler. I think the crown should be removable. I kind of agree because I hate the hat figures, but it’d be inconsistent with the Hasbro line if the retros came with removable hats/crowns etc. I’m glad this Undertaker doesn’t have a hat molded on. When I was a kid, I never felt comfortable having matches with the hat guys. I still hope Mattel do a hatless Sgt Slaughter and Papa Shango.

I still can't express my disappointment in the nWo Retros. The shirts being on is a big letdown.

Next wave is Lawler, Vader, Taker (same as Series 1 but with mask from when mabel smashed his face) and Paul Bearer. Saw it in the MWFP feed I think, this morning already. Shocked it's not in this thread yet. I still think Lawler is the best of the set, Vader looks bad, like they used Tugboats upper body and I don't know what was going on with the legs. Vader was a massive guy, we needed a proper new mold, but not surprised at all that it didn't happen. I want to love these, but alot of the ones that have come out have left me unsattisfied.

And Mitch's, like that Mabel is unbelieveable. I know Mitch's aren't in hand yet, so it's hard to say for sure, but they look damn good. But, that Vader, woof. I don't know why they can't do a proper larger mold. Tugboat was too small and Vader looks WAY too small for him. And what is going on with those legs?

Someone posted pictures of the figures in this thread one page back, showing each of the figures. Yeah, Vader doesn't look that great, they really need to look into making a new big-man body mold. Not only does Taker have a new head sculpt, but the color of the purple is slightly different. Lawler is still the best from this wave. Paul Bearer is also good too. It sometimes seems with this line that its 1 step forward and 2 steps back.
