When is SDCC? Are we likely to get the Hogan, Ritcher wave finished and the next wave teased? It will definitely be Mania 1 theme, which is cool but I'd love a DX similar to the NWO pack or pick out events as special box sets, Summerslam with Zues,more Mania sets, or a champions pack with belts, or managers set. I think a DX set would be far more likely as RSC exclusives (like the NWO 2-pks): you could mix and match between Shawn, Triple H, Chyna, Rude, X-pac, and the Outlaws... Personally, I'd go with Triple H & Chyna, and Shawn & Rude. But Rude in a suit would be such a waste before getting a ring gear Rude! |

Don’t get me wrong, I’d buy the crap out of NAO retros, but, I think people would feel short changed if there were a DX set and no BG. |

I *think* Mattel are still able to make Billy Gunn... it's a strange kind of deal. But whatever way you do that version of DX, you're always going to be a member short if it's 2 x 2-packs (like the NWO ones). At least with the first version, you can get all 4 members... plus another/earlier Shawn, so it kind of kills 2 birds with 1 stone. |

But then which 4 members would you choose?

I don’t think NoD is going to be high on the list for Mattel to make.
I’m hoping at SDCC we see the Richter line and the next two lineups.

For me an original DX set would be a let-down for one reason: the next Triple H needs to have trunks. I like the Series 2 Triple H, but I'd like it a lot more if it wasn't (to date) the only HHH in the line. Long tights Triple H may be iconic to some, but it's impossible to feel like you have "top guy Triple H" on your shelf. To me that needs to be amended first before we work even further back.

I would love a DX set, but if we could not get Billy Gunn, I think I would rather just have Shawn, HHH and Chyna on single cards. I love Rick Rude, but if we are getting Rick Rude as a Retro, I do not want him in his DX suit, there are like a million other iconic and awesome Rick Rude attires they could do.

I was expecting the next set to be a lose WM1-themed set anyway to complement the first bundle, and now Ali is on the roster then you could be very much onto something. Getting a referee into the line also ticks another missing Hasbro box. They'd need to invest in another new body though, which they might not do since they are already doing that with Wendi? My other thought was that they might want to include another female so they don't go all Southpaw Regional Wrestling with Wendi, but I think it's likelier they'll reuse that figure with Sherri or Alundra Blayze in the next bundle instead. Had Moolah been an option then maybe they'd have gone with her as a natural match-up with Wendi, but I don't think there's really anyone else from her era? I naturally want all the bundles to be a great success, but I agree though that I hope we see another New Gen set soon after this upcoming set. You could be right on the females front; but a referee may not require a new mould - this custom was pretty straight forward, just requiring removing jacket & tie and sculpting a bow tie:  That actually looks really good - interesting to see how it is with the jacket removed; thanks for posting that! My guess is that they no longer have access to Danny Davies since he was so clearly the one to include in that second bundle as the fourth man (Nikolai could’ve been in many other sets down the line) so whether they use the potential opportunity with Ali to include a referee figure could make sense. |

I'm guessing the rest of the Richter/Hogan wave will be WM1 era? If that's the case, I'd like an Orndorf for sure, not sure who else, Studd? Or would there be another woman wrestler from the era available?
And I hope we see 2 more waves, but realistically, I doubt that. Maybe at least one more wave and a single figure teased for the next? And what about another RSC exclusive?
What I'd hope for is some WCW guys from RSC, maybe Malenko, Mysterio, Eddie, Goldberg, Luger etc.
And I hope for some more Hasbro missing pieces, like Heel Jake, Short hair Rude, Macho King w/long tights, maybe a mid 90's Bret or Shawn. A new Warrior would be sweet too, IF they could make a decent mold for him, if they reuse that crap mold from S1, I'd rather just buy repainted Hasbros instead.

But I am also not that happy about Richter. She. Is taking a spot that could be used for other characters. I get Hogan as a heavy hitter. But Alundra Blayze would have been the better choice for a first female. She was the champion around the Hasbro era. Also I don’t want these to habe a specific topic for each wave. Just give me characters like Rick Rude that need an upgrade from their Hasbro, add a heavy hitter per wave, an unreleased character/ prototype (such as Anvil or Luger) and a forth matching character such as a manager/ announcer of the time (Jimmy Hart) or matching midcarder that is available such as Jerry Lawler. I really don’t need Ali as a Retro. |

The Hogan/Richter set “might” be the first retro set I pass on. All depends on the other two to state the obvious.
Do we have any idea when the Vader/Bearer etc set is expected?
