Is this ‘80s Hulk figure going to be solely part of a 4-figure set? Sigh… I wish these damned things were sold individually. Just as I wish the Coliseum figures were sold individually. I’d love that CC Piper, but I’m not springing for it only to sell the George Steele. I still have a CC Terry Funk I need to sell or trade. One word for you. EBAY. Has totally changed how I collect. I’ve purchased two of the last two Coliseum Collections sets. Kept one set on the shelf. The second set I took all the heads and accessories for customs and sold JUST the headless bodies and wound up making money. Same thing with the Retro Sets. Each box set figure works out to about $15. Other than Volkoff, every single one is pulling in +$15 individually. (Series 1 excluded since Ringside got them.) With that Hulk set. Buy it. Keep Hulk. Sell the other 3 individually right when they arrive. I bet you are keeping Hulk for almost free.

Is today the day we finally get Heenan and Sherri in retro form? Best case scenario, we get the rest of the Mania 1 set, the assumed Ringside set, and a sneak peak or two.
(hopefully an on-sale date for the next set too!)

I think SDCC starts tomorrow 20th.. I think we will have Prototypes of Hogan and Ritcher on display and then it's normally the QA with announcements. I've totally convinced myself that DX will be the ringside release.

Must have a Heenan at some point.
I’d expect to see Ali in the Hogan/Richter set

Hogan and Wendi look great. Haven't been a fan of everything I've seen today but I'm happy with these

I agree Wendi looks AWESOME. I have no interest in her as a character, but might have to buy that set. I don't like the Hulk head at all.
Lawler looks fantastic -- except wish it was a molded torso.

I like the Hogan and Wendi. I hope they show more than just the rest of the set. I still think that Taker blows. It’s the exact same body as the first one and the I’m not digging the eyes being rolled back.

Ritcher looks awesome, I can see Chyna being used in that mould in a DX pack. Hogan's colours are spot on, really cool. Exciting day folks! I'm not sure how I'm going to financially cope with these releases..🤣 I really want the ZST Booger and Epic Powers of Pain and Demolition too.. I think the mattel QA is today, we should have the next 2 announcement. I'm sticking with Captain Lou or Heenan, Mr Wonderful. DX RSC.

Ehh, I think the Hogan looks bad, just not a good mold at least the lower body for that look. Someone on FB said and I agree after seeing it, looks like he's wearing a diaper. I think the body worked ok for Hollywood since he had the long tights painted on. Anyone else think in general with this line, the more deco, the better the figure? Probably because it helps cover up the lack of better molds. Like some of the ones I think that have looked really good were guys like Goldust and Doink, who are fully painted pretty much, so the uninspired molds are covered up. While I found some of the guys with little paint to be really bad looking like Lex and Macho in green trunks come to mind.
Richter looks fine, just not a figure I was yearning for.
Hope we see something in the next few days to get really excited for, but not gonna hold my breath at this point.
Makes me glad they lost Macho, I hope more guys get opened up for the smaller companies to make them, they tend to do better stuff in most cases.

Wendi looks great! Not sold on Hogan’s head! Looks too big and the face looks off

Wendi looks great, but not a figure I want and the Hogan looks off somehow
The new gen set is awesome though and I'm looking very forward to that.

The Wendi is awesome. 10/10. Know it’s not the #1 pick everyone would have run to for the first female Retro, but they knocked it out of the park.
Hogan is a 9/10. I get what they were trying to do with the head and I don’t mind it. A head swap with any of the recent Elites make it a 10/10. As is, it’s the best Retro style Hogan ever released. The size. The pose. The classic yellow and red. Love it.

I know the whole which retros are better conversation is a hot topic but that latest set for me is now making me think about selling up my Mattel ones and not bothering with them. They’re just too far away from a Hasbro for me to enjoy. Too cartoon like, weird proportions and part choices and nowhere near enough detail.
I know the cover story/justification is that these are simply a tribute to the Hasbros but very much their own line but that never washed with me as if it wasn’t for Hasbros, their popularity back then and today, they wouldn’t even exist. They should have been a continuation as close as possible and they’re not even close. That Hogan sucks, doesn’t come close to the Hasbros of 30 years or so ago, which is just crazy to me.

I'm torn on the Mania 1 set, and will have to see the other two before knowing if I will buy. That Hogan is alright, but nothing even comparable to the hasbro Hogans. I feel like the orange card series (sans Lex) was pretty exciting while few others seemed to agree. Retros are weird, we all want something different out of the line -- but from the jump (back in 2016...!) these figures needed more molded torsos, attention to quality, and overall a better talent selection. We are lucky these are still getting made after all the nonsense.
And yet, with all of Mattel's money and resources and time, they never gave us a long tights Macho King...
Regardless, hoping for some good reveals today!

The guy who looks after the Mr Wonderful Twitter account liked two tweets in reply to one of my posts saying they hope it is Paul Orndorff.
Could this be a sign…!?
Edit: looks like any mention gets a like.

I am REALLY bummed that I think this will put Liz on the back-burner until Savage is sorted out, which absolutely sucks.

Looking at Hogan and Richter I'm gonna say the theme is Hulk Hogan's Rock n Wrestling. Albano and Andre as the other 2?
