Studd is awesome. Ali is just stupid. I had a feeling they would do this. Should’ve been Mr. Wonderful. We can have a referee Ali but they passed on Danny Davis a few sets ago. Just a reminder that these are the same people who thought Nakamura needed to be in the retro line.

Studd looks good, just thought it should be Orndorf, rather have Studd and Orndorf and no Ali. Yeah, I agree. I was thinking of skipping this set, but I really like that Big John Studd figure. Orndorff would have been great.

Gotta say the reveals weren't unexpected but disappointing for me personally. Feel like Mattel is stretching the Hasbro timeline too far in both directions with 85 WM1 and 98 D-X. Would love to see It be moreso like 88 - 96. If its true that Macho isn't under contact and we lost long tights Macho King it would be a shame. Wish they would focus on the missing pieces like the Orange set and upcoming BCA inspired set did. We are no 7 sets in/announced and stil no Zeus, Heel Jake, Short Hair Rude, Bobby Heenan, Brother Love, Sherri, Liz, Macho King, Heel Slaughter. Would be nice to focus more on these and some of the new gen . I am probably going to pass on these 2 sets although the New Age Outlaws look awesome. Seems like the RSC deco is better than the mattel creations releases

I hope Mattel looks at how the set with Lawler/Bearer/Vader and the DX and NWO sets sold compared to how I think the WM1 set will do.
Maybe they'll be comparable -- but I will be being all the others and not WM1. I feel like others might do the same.

So the timetable looks like this I think:
-August 29th: Series 14: Lawler, Vader, Undertaker, Bearer -January 2024: Series 15: Hogan, Richter, Studd, Ali -~May: Ringside Tag Team Series 2: DX: New-age Outlaws, Chyna & Triple H -August: Series 16: ? ? ? ?
Hopefully we'll get some idea of the direction of series 16 this weekend; at least one reveal, like with Lawler last year.
As I said before I'd like them to do a set with X-Pac to display next to the DX bundle. That would mean an Attitude Era bundle I think, so maybe they could do:
i. X-Pac ii. Shawn Michaels (DX gear, though obviously not if they want to do a second DX set with the OG line-up at some point) iii. Dude Love/Cactus Jack iv. Mr McMahon
Or sub-in someone like Edge, Big Boss Man, Rikishi, Godfather, Ken Shamrock, Trish, Lita, Shane - concentrating on new names to the line, keeping it limited to WWF rather than mixing-in WCW or ECW, leaving a potential future Hart Foundation or Nation bundle, etc.
But I think the shouts for another Golden Era or New Gen bundle will be louder - we've already lost the opportunity for a long-tights Macho King so the other big wants probably need to be the focus now.

Is this ‘80s Hulk figure going to be solely part of a 4-figure set? Sigh… I wish these damned things were sold individually. Just as I wish the Coliseum figures were sold individually. I’d love that CC Piper, but I’m not springing for it only to sell the George Steele. I still have a CC Terry Funk I need to sell or trade. what are you looking to trade the Terry Funk for?

Honestly relieved I don’t want anyone from the 4th pack of Retros. I don’t think is an awful set or anything, but this one doesn’t fill any gaps I have.
In related news: I did just order the Bastion Booger from Zombie. Perfect New Gen weirdo for the collection.

Or maybe if they needed to 4, add Rude and Chyna. Plus we already got a DX Triple H in long trunks anyway. If he's getting another figure, I'd like blue blood 96 or 97 Hunter. Also wouldn't mind debut Rocky Maivia.

Would be very happy to be corrected if someone has heard different This is part of the problem with them not streaming the reveals, we on the outside don't get the opportunity to hear what they say first hand.

Ali with the microphone is interesting - did he get on the mic at WM1? If not then I guess it's a free accessory, though if the bundle had the extra budget for an accessory then I'd have tried to get Hogan the title belt instead. The championship belt would make the Hogan figure a lot better.

Appreciate the reminders on Booger. Just snagged one.
I’m excited for the next retro set with Lawler and Bearer but nothing that was announced today is all that appealing. Much more excited for figures like Booger, MOM, Duke Droese, Demolition, Powers of Pain, Power & Glory, etc. from the indie companies.
