They really should redo Diesel. Now here is something we can agree on. I remember this one being harder to get because it was towards the end if the first run for retros. Maybe make him again with more of a silver attire. Could use a better head too. I get what they were going for but it just doesn’t work for me.

They really should redo Diesel. If they do a second "lost" wave then Diesel would be a natural to get him on an orange card: i. Diesel (Big Daddy Cool, silver top) ii. Brutus Beefcake (Mega Maniacs) iii. HBK (punch action) iv. Tatanka (white tights, jumper) Can't think of any other lost Hasbro figures that Mattel have the rights to?

I'd love them to continue with event sets. Summerslam, Survivor Series, more Mania. Include belts! Imagine HBK v Razor, Piper v Brett. We need a vince, Heenan, Sherri, Liz, Fink! Hope we see another reveal to see where they are going with these retros!

I find it weird that they haven’t shown something from the next creations set or a look of what the packaging from the Hogan set looks like. Did someone from Mattel fall asleep and forget to show us more?

Supposedly the DX set isn’t coming out until Q2 next year. That sounds ridiculous when we already have the NWO sets so shouldn’t they want to try to get another set up after instead of making everyone wait so long for something new.

We also knew that ringside would have a 4 pack again. We still don’t have any info on the set after Hogan on Mattel creations. Last year they showed the king as a teaser.

the stand itself says that tag packs are exclusive to Ringside, so are they seriously only doing one tag wave a year? I can't see that being the case, Ringside surely would need more than one wave a year for that kind of deal?

Studd and Billy Gunn look good, but other than that, I agree with you. The Hogan face sculpt, and paint job looks odd. Until they showed the John Studd figure, I was actually going to skip the WM1 set - still thinking about doing that and just buying the Studd figure by itself later on. I'm also not really liking the DX set, the attires are cool, and nothing against any of the figures, but that's just outside the Hasbro line for me - though they do go well with the Retro's S2 set. This. I understand that ringside wanted a 4 pack and that dx makes sense because of that, but I sure as hell don’t need another son-in-law retro. They better show something else. Like a teaser for the next set. And with what’s happening with Macho Man - these people had how many years to put out a long tights version? Stop dragging your feet on figures that collectors have been screaming about for years. It took 10 series to get to Diesel. Imagine if they lost his rights along the way. Next time instead of giving us the heel Jake we’ve wanted since grade school they’ll throw in another son-in-law. Yeah, it's bonkers to just go back and think about the first ten waves when they were at retailers. They did 44 figures and what like maybe 10 were flashbacks? And maybe 4 were WWF and close to the Hasbro period? I'm thinking Taker, Goldust, Macho in green, and Warrior, which I don't even display with my collection anyway since the colors are pretty much the same as his first Hasbro and the Mattel mold was pretty horrendous. And MAYBE you count Flair? But, the head is clearly 80's Flair, so not really.

Maybe make him again with more of a silver attire. 1995 face run would be needed. Also speaking of Nash, I still want him and Hall in their debut ring gear from BATB. Still don't like that they're all just in NWO shirts in that set.

Skinnier frame, mullet haircut.

If we are airing our grievances, it is infuriating that we finally got the Hart Foundation in retro form and it was from 1987, not freaking 1990/91!!! The Harts were my biggest want outside of Heenan and Sherri from this line and it just boggles my mind we are getting Richter/Ali/Bob Orton… in the grand scheme, few people care about the first Mania and yet we are getting a second wave dedicated solely to it. Not getting a long tights Macho King by now is also just beyond me. Never would have bet Zombie Sailor would be the first to do it. Bah. On the bright side, love that DX set. No complaints there, or with the Studd reveal. Seems like most guessed the next ringside set, so what comes after DX?? Hard to say, you would think that they would want another group, but who do they have left? The Nation is a good guess, they just released elites of Kama and D-Lo, and they still have the Rock under contract, so that is 3 of the 4. If Faarooq is still signed, I could see them doing a Nation set with those 4. A Hart Foundation set would make sense, but they only have 3 of the 5 members signed, so I can't see that happening. I do like the idea of a Heenan family set; Heenan, Orndorff, Rude, Mr. Perfect would be nice. The Mega Bucks would be interesting: Andre, DiBiase, Heenan, and Virgil. Survivor Series teams would be interesting as well, the top one would have been Warrior, Texas Tornado, and LOD, but that's not happening. For my pick, I'm going to go with the Kliq: HBK, Razor Ramon, Diesel, and 123 Kid, all attires from 1994-1996.

Yeah, that just came to me when I was writing the post, but now, I really want it. Andre would be great, not sure what they could do to make it different than the Hasbro one, maybe give him sideburns. For DiBiase, they could do either the black and purple tux or the silver and purple tux. Virgil could be in the silver bodyguard suit, or he could be in his wrestling gear from that time period (image below). And Heenan could be in a suit.

I read somewhere that they lost him, too. Man, I hope not.
