not yet, I suspect it may take a week or so if they're doing US domestic orders first
Well at least I’m not the only one! Not that I’m happy for you other folks to have their deliveries delayed 😂
I’ll trawled back to January in the thread, and it seems UK orders went out after about a week, and took 10 days to arrive from shipping notification. So hopefully we’ll have them by mid September.
Would anyone want a Dangerous Alliance-themed wave?
I think that would be the most effective way to get an early 90s version of Heyman, Rude, Austin, and Madusa into the line.
If love a DA set - although it’d be hard to pick just 4 of them…..although saying that, the 4 you mentioned are probably the only ones available!
Yeah, a Dangerous Alliance set would be great, but I think the only guys available right now are Paul E, Austin and Rude. Eaton doesn't appear to be signed with anyone, Madusa is signed with Power Town, Zbyszko is signed with Rush, and I'm not sure about Arn - I'd imagine he signed with AEW. So that would only leave three to the set right now.

lets face it, none of the independent companies are signing exclusivity contracts to talent, they can't guarantee enough money from their sales
so if WWE wanted most of the above (maybe excluding Arn given his AEW contract) then quite frankly, they're gonna go with WWE for the money and better sales opportunities for merch
so apart from an AEW contracted talent like Arn (and even then, it's still not 100% out of the question given Tony's agreements over Billy Gunn) then there's quite likely an opportunity for a Dangerous Alliance or even a Four Horsemen wave down the line
I’ve never understood all the talent included pre-1989.
Still salty we didn’t get the Hart foundation in their 90/91 look. While I was glad to get a Mr. T, I am not interested at all in having all the pieces (even Ali) for the first Mania main event. I’d rather have interesting looks for Warrior, Macho King, Hogan, even characters like Brother Love and Sherri and Heenan from the Hasbro era and the years that followed. Seems everyone is hype for the nWo and dx sets, which I think says quite a bit. On the other hand, I LOVED the orange card series (Lex head aside) and seems few others did.
This new set hits a sweet spot for me - so glad to have all these looks.

That's the thing about the line - collectors on here are looking for different things and with so few releases, it is going to be hard to please everyone (unless you collect all eras).
Personally, I'm good with the LJN/Golden Era through Attitude era. I believe Steve said that they might go as far as the RA era, which I hope they avoid as long as possible.
An idea, not to jinx anything, but let’s say we get one last wave.
What do you want? Four figs, true Hasbro caliber… no extras, no honorable mentions…
HBK 97 Bobby Heenan Sherri Long tights Macho King, Royal Rumble 91
(Stuns me this retro revival started seven years ago and these are not made…)
The Fiend The Game era Triple H Batista Rey Mysterio
If the line HAD to end, I’d want lots of decos and new parts and molds. I’d want accessories (lanterns, sledgehammers, slip over masks). I’d want the line to go out on a bang, not a whimper. I almost picked Eddie Guerrero over Rey, but, i think a new body type would be more impactful.

If it were one last wave, I'd go with these:
long tights Macho King - Royal Rumble 1991 works for me. heel Jake the Snake w/ a King Cobra - Blue or Black Flame tights. Ravishing Rick Rude - Simply Ravishing tights. Bobby Heenan - manager attire
Still nothing on mine - really frustrating that they appear to be forcing customers who have to wait longer for their orders to arrive naturally to wait another week or so for the damn orders to even get shipped-out to begin with, whilst domestic customers are receiving their orders in hand days after order.
Especially since there must be way more US orders than international, so if they are prioritising domestic orders over international then we're waiting way longer for them to work through those orders than US customers would have to wait if they did international first, and even then US customers would still get their orders first due to international shipping times.
IF that's what's happening, which increasingly seems to be the case.

Yeah, that's the sweet spot for me too. I wouldn't mind a few RA main-event guys though: Batista, Brock, Cena, Orton, Edge... (I know they did Brock, Cena and Orton before, but they were all current versions).

Received the latest 4 pack and it’s a real mixed bag…I included comparison photos in all of my links below so that you can see how the measure up to and blend in with Hasbro, Grapplers & Gimmicks, Heels and Faces, Epic/Chella, Rush, and more.
Undertaker is such a cheap and easy figure…totally unnecessary and a waste of a spot. That said, it looks good. I compare it to the original Hasbro and the Series 1 Retro.
Lawler is something I was still excited for but it let me down. The proportions feel off, the face isn’t great, and I still think the crown should have come off.
The packaging sucks. I really don’t appreciate the change even though I’m a loose collector. Every one of my plastic protectors and cardboard backers appeared scuffed, dirty, bent, or slightly damaged. Not enough to cry a river about but I would prefer these to look MOC when they arrive.
In addition to that, all of the figures looked dirty again. This has been a problem since the 4 packs started. This time though, there were random paint markings on the figures as well. Again, not enough to be really upset about but these are the same complaints we are tossing at other retro figure makers so I am holding Mattel to that same standard.
Also worth noting, Lawler’s action arm came loose with some plastic shavings and a chip/scrape. It isn’t a big enough deal for me to contact Mattel but it was the icing on the cake for my disappointment with Lawler.

This is disappointing to hear... has anyone else had this issue? I haven't received mine yet, but I was going to say how good the new packaging looks - and the fact that you can put the figures back in/on the card.

You know, maybe I should scale some of that back. It wasn’t horrible but I am not a fan of the change. The old style held up better IMO. I liked this for the 2 packs but on single carding, it just feels like they have cheapened things. The idea is great but the execution could use some work. I’m also not a huge fan of introducing changes into a series but I guess we already got that long ago with the stands.
