Huge day for me yesterday - received a loose Roman to complete my loose Retro collection He cost me about £20 more than my MOC Roman did about 18 months ago, but I actually got him like £10 cheaper than in another auction that I was outbid on last week; also there was a bonus Nectar points promotion on and the usual cashback, so very happy to complete the loose collection to match my complete MOC collection. He looks perfect as well. Now just waiting for series 11...

So, people here in the UK, what the crack with Home Bargains? Do we have any hope that they will get any other retro series other than series 3 which have been around for over 6 months?

So, people here in the UK, what the crack with Home Bargains? Do we have any hope that they will get any other retro series other than series 3 which have been around for over 6 months? I don't think so - I might be wrong, but don't Home Bargains just get unsold stock from other retailers rather than buy directly from Mattel themselves? If I'm right about that, then since Smyths and The Entertainer (I think) never sold any series past series 3 then I don't see where later series would come from. Not sure WS or T&M sell any stock to Home Bargains or B&M? But then again my local Smyths sold-out of series 3 before I could get there (I was on holiday when they appeared) and their site always had them sold-out from what I remember, so I don't know how many they actually made available for sale, and how much stock they had left if they did supply those to Home Bargains. My Home Bargains are still restocking series 3 it seems - since accepting that I would one day inevitably start customising Retros, I've cleared-out one of stock which has new figures on the pegs now, and I took the majority from another who has since also put more out as well (and they still - I think - have the Seth and Goldberg I left behind that time). And after seeing in the summer that at least some Targets in the US still have them, I'd love to know how many more series 3 figures were produced compared to the rest, but I accept that Mattel are never going to tell us that sort of info (as seen in the AFA questions thread). Series 3 must've gotten half of series 4's production run at least

I'm just starting to collect retros properly, and I have a couple of questions:
1. UK fans - is series 2 still in stores at The Entertainer? It's discontinued on their website.
2. Are there any other line's accessories (chairs, mics, tables, ladders) that scale well with them?

My two local stores don’t have any, and yesterday I went to the one at the White Rose Centre in Leeds when I was in the area and they didn’t have any either - maybe Yorkshire folk have already bought them all up? I’ve never seen any Retros at The Entertainer, but I don’t often visit there so that doesn’t mean much. Not much in the way of WWE stuff in any of those three stores TBH - not much shelf space, mostly basics and a few two-packs, as well as the green Miss Elizabeth discounted in multiple numbers.

He was just trying to help you out/give you a heads-up... I doubt you'll get one cheaper than that.

Last night I went to RSC and looked it up, it was $19.99. On the Randy Savage page. Only one Retro on there, "Arm Up" variant. Then I just skimmed thru the Holiday Sale, and the non-variant was on there for $11.99. So that's my bad, I thought he was trying to act funny. #UNBLOCKED Thanks for making me double check.

TONS of S8 at my Five Below today. No 9 or 10 unfortunatly. Already pretty much full up on 8, but grabbed another Broski, Braun and Sheik anyway.
But again, if all these retros are showing up at discounters, why in the world are there so many Targets w/ empty pegs for these?

Such a great question; from what I’ve read on social media from this side of the Atlantic then it seems that the Retros perform well at the US discount stores - is that because of the lower price, or is it that these stores actually put them out on the pegs for sale rather than having them gather dust in distribution centres for months on end? The fact that Ric Flair and nWo Macho Man were put up for sale for $5 at a time when they were both being sold at many, many times that value on eBay suggests that price might not have been the primary driver in the figures moving out of the stores.

I wish I could find S9 or S10 at Five Below, but I'm guessing if I don't find them before Christmas, I doubt I will. IIRC, retro stock fell off hard after Christmas last year.

Just saw another Twitter pic of some one finding a full peg of Diesel and Junk Yard Dog at Five Below in Chicago I think. I'm guessing here in PA we are just going to get the Series 8 treatment till after Christmas. 😔

maybe a dumb question, but how many series 3 figures were made in comparison to every other series? Every following series except for 7 has been an extremely tough find. You can’t tell me there are as many Diesels/Flairs/Savages as there are Rollins in the world.

We’ll never know the production numbers, but I would guess series 3 was produced way more than any other series because it was released for Christmas 2017.

Don't really care about Retro figures, don't really get the hype around them. But since it was cheap on BF/CM, i bought the Elias Retro to convert it to a Luke Harper. Probably the only Retro i'll ever own.

Since my PA area stores have been empty I'm gonna try and keep checking. Maybe we'll at least get Series 9 if no 10 at all...
