I'm not a huge Lucha Libre guy but these figures look pretty cool. I've actually been looking for a mask to use for a Mattel Patriot fixup, so I think I'm going to get this set: I know it's not quite accurate, and to Lucha fans it will probably look downright ridiculous, but as long as the mask can fit a Mattel head, I think it's gonna have to be good enough for me! I'd love a facepainted Vampiro as well... I was a huge fan of him in WCW! What does it mean by customizable on the mask?

I'm really excited about the roster that is available for this line. There are some legitimate dream figures for me (Ultimo Dragon, Vampiro).
I'm a little concerned about the general timeline here. It's great if they have the lineups planned, but they announced waves 1-3 over a year ago. Obviously COVID played a role, but I think they're going to need to have a faster turnaround time to keep wrestling buyers engaged in this line.
But maybe that's just where things are right now. Jazwares and to a lesser extent Mattel have both been pretty light on reveals as well, so maybe there is more impacting the factories abroad than what we've heard.

I want to get Juvi, but over $50 CAD is tough to swallow...I'm really excited for Ultimo Dragon. I wish I could order them both at once.

Pre ordered Taya and Juvi. Pretty sure that concept art said they were doing tattoos on Juvi. Definitely doesn’t seem like he’s done. Not crazy about that torso for him. Looks big/bulky on the small legs. Taya looks pretty incredible imo. The left side profile of her made me immediately want to buy it.

It's not a limited edition pre-order only thing like Super7 does, right?

I really like that Taya figure definitely ordering it and love etthe he series 2 line up. The fanaticos line actually aren't too bad looking for it being a "basic" line. I like the Fenix and Pentagon too.

Super excited to hear about Ultimo Dragon. I always wanted a figure of him when I was a kid. I’d order a figure of his in a heartbeat.
I’d consider getting a Vampiro depending on which looks they go with.
i don’t know if they’d be possible but I’d like to see some folks from Lucha Underground like Mil Muertes or Drago, or some WCW cruiserweights like Psychosis

There was concept art shown for it back in July. I don't think LU is possible, I'm almost certain that Kleinrock has stated that in an interview or two but they do have Psicosis under a deal and he has shirts at Hot Topic. I don't think it's too far fetched to think he'll wind up in the line at some point.

It's not a limited edition pre-order only thing like Super7 does, right? Nope. Collectors Series 1 and the accessory packs went up a year ago at this point and they're still on the Boss Fight shop. You should be good, depending on how long it takes for them to get to Fanaticos Wave 2.

Does anyone know who owns the rights to Lucha Underground RE: their characters? I know they could sign Ricky Banderas and make a figure for him but could we somehow also get Mil Muertes in this line? Obviously Prince Puma seems out of the picture because he's signed with WWE, but even for someone like Jeff Cobb to give us a Matanza Cueto figure would be sweet.

I think El Rey or AAA or some combination of both would own the gimmicks. Since contract language seemed to be structured like traditional tv shows, the production company probably owns the rights. Not that it matters, since there's probably no value in a dead niche product. But man would they be cool figures.
