Well, you can say that they're gonna lose money on these, but people are presumably buying them. What're the numbers like? Is there actual evidence that they're spewing money because they don't scale with Mattel or Jazwares? I didn't say they were going to lose money on these, I said they were going to lose sales because they made a stupid decision to scale these down for whatever reason. The proof is this thread, tons of people here said they won't buy these because they scaled the figures down. Those are lost sales. It was a dumb decision to make figures that don't scale with any other wrestling figure being produced today. While I'm not outright disagreeing with you, I'm just curious as to how you're so confident in that outlook. You can't simply say look at this thread as though it's some concrete proof of anything. This is one of many threads on a wrestling figure forum and it's hardly bursting with posters. We simply don't know how the line will be affected by the scale. Certainly some people will choose not to collect, but obviously they've not put out a line without having made sure that they'll make sales, they're not that inept. I'm sure plenty of people are into this line, which is why they're still continuing with it. Let's wait and see before we make these bold assertions, that's all I'm saying.

Totally agree, but let's wait and see what happens next. While not scaling them with the other two lines will put some people off, there are people who aren't bothered by that, and I'm one of them. I mean, if you want to display these with Mattel and Jazwares, then fair enough, but they can display on their own as well, which is what I'd be doing. Not every single figure line needs to be displayed with Mattel. Unless you're playing with them, scale isn't a huge deal, imo. They'd look great on their own in a ring, imo.

There isn't going to be some smoking gun that the scale is costing them sales. But coming in at a different scale when every other company making highly articulated wrestling figures is working off of (or close to) a singular scale is a head scratcher.
It's absolutely going to cost them sales, and has. There were plenty of people cancelling their orders for Penta and Fenix when those figures came out. BossFight talked about making adjustments for the Fanaticos wave, and it looks like we're right back where we started. This product is super niche product. Even losing 100 buyers could swing things in a negative direction. I think the fact that RSC hasn't stocked anything beyond the initial products doesn't seem like a great sign. Maybe there are some collectors who only care about this line. But that's probably a small minority. The target buyer for these figures is collecting other wrestling lines, so there's no good explanation to not have things scaled with similar products.
Maybe they'll adapt and adjust to buyer feedback - Jazwares completely changed course on their UFC line after negative feedback on the scale. But the fact that we're 3 years into this line and there really hasn't been much to show doesn't leave me hopeful. I was super psyched for this line as recently as a few weeks/months ago. But they've yet to deliver a product I actually want to own after three years. Goodwill only gets you so far, and they went from a line with some pretty heavy buzz to apathy for me. And judging by the traffic in this thread, I don't think I'm alone there.

And judging by the traffic in this thread, I don't think I'm alone there. If it's costing them enough sales to worry them then they'd either pull the line or scale them with Mattel. Let's see what happens. I'm sure there's plenty of collectors who don't care for Mattel's figures. There's a lot of wrestling figure collectors out there, and a lot of styles and lines. If this line continues at the scale it's currently at, I'd say there's your smoking gun.

The Juvi is one of the most disappointing wrestling figures I've owned in over 30 years of buying wrestling figures because it's so close to being right. Taya is definitely better but the face isn't anything to brag about and she's noticeably too short, also. I see them bragging about the articulation, but I'm not particularly impressed with it. Kind of a wet fart first impression for me.
That said, I'll be ordering Ultimo and one of the two Vampiros because beggars can't be choosers with those two guys right now. I, unquestionably, think BF would sell more figures at a bigger scale. This should be a complimentary line in the same vein as Chella's Uncensored line seems to be. "wERe DoINg OuR oWN sCAlE!" Pretty sure it's just the Toybiz scale. If they were putting out 20 figures a year, then I understand sticking to your own scale. But they've put out four names in 3 years and two of those names have superior AEW figures from Jazwares that came out like a year ago.

I still haven't been able to try any part swapping on these new figures yet.
I am kind of torn though. The Juvi is a decent scale compared to Mattel's Rey, but just looks so small. All in all, the figure isn't bad, just seems small. Taya seems short too, but it depends on which Mattel women figures you compare her too. Mattel's women figure scales are all over the place.
I'm curious to see how Konnan and Lady Maravilla turn out, though I'm betting Konnan probably shares a lot of tooling with Penta and Fenix.
I'm not ready to give up on these yet, but I do wish they could tweak the scale just a little.

I love this line, but I wish they would scale better with the other wrestling figures lines. I got my Taya & Juvi a couple days ago, and they are so tiny compared to the others. Good thing WWE scaled their women's figures down to look like children since Elite 74, so Taya isn't out of scale with the more recent WWE women. AEW women seem to be more in scale to the men (except for Riho being too tall). The Series 1 Elite Penta & Fenix were too small as well, which is a shame. I will still be supportive of the line & hope the figures get a little taller over time. I hope that this line grows & sells great as the possibilities are endless.

Sheesh, I just came here after finding out about the Taya figure.
I gotta say, seeing as how I would only be in this line for the women, having them at a smaller scale isn't a dealbreaker for me because it just means they will scale well with the Mattel women who are also too short. I feel bad for the people who came for the men though because that has to be infuriating. How difficult is it to make it in scale with Mattel? They don't own a monopoly on that scale, I don't think, you can make them to match!
But, in all honesty, any new women's figures they make I'm here for. I've wanted a Taya figure for ages and the only one we had was wretched. I'm looking forward to Lady Maravilla and any other new women they might put out.

Hopefully, it's not too late for them to change the scale to Mattel/Jazwares/etc. I'm not too optimistic about it because when I mentioned it to them on Twitter, the guy from Masked Republic seemed to think the scale was fine with other companies. It seems they've responded like wise to others questioning the scale.

The Juvie for instance. Juvie is listed at 5’5”and Rey at 5’2”. The pic they posted showed Juvie shorter and they say ‘see, pretty much in scale!’ But they also showed pics of the scale being off between Mattels with other Mattels, and Jazwares too. I have both the Premium and Fanatico versions of the Penta and Fenix, and have to say they are awesome figs. Yes they are SLIGHTY smaller in scale, but they aren’t tiny. Also they posted a design pic of the upcoming Vampiro and it says it will be 6.7” tall.

Do these have the same kind of torso that aew figs have that just pop off? Could juvis torso go on a aew figs lower legs to make him taller? Whats the difference in parts when it comes to the premium and basics to the luchas? I would buy some of these if all i had to do was pop the torsos/mix parts with mattel or aew figs to get them in scale with each other.

I love the potential of this line, mixed in with MLW, but the waiting time is way too long. It'll be ten years & we'll get 8 figures. I hope the scale gets a little closer to 7" hopefully.
